Chapter 92: Chapter 92 Thor, The Fool

Chapter 92 Thor, The Fool

...

Leon is technically correct when he refers to himself as the Sorcerer Supreme. He has been under the tutelage of the Ancient One, gaining knowledge about magic and poring over all the magic books in Kamar-Taj.

Moreover, in terms of spiritual power, Leon has surpassed even the Ancient One. The ability to maintain the vitality and youth of the Ancient One was also bestowed upon to her by Leon.

Ancient One is no longer connected to Dormammu; Leon essentially absorbed Dormammu, making her now connected to him.

However, it's essential to note that unless the Ancient One passes away, Leon cannot officially be called the Sorcerer Supreme. The title of Sorcerer Supreme is unique, and only one person can hold it in each generation.

Regarding the Asgardian god that Leon has expressed his grievances about and somewhat looked down upon, it's Loki, Thor's younger brother in the Marvel universe. However, Loki has a different background, and Leon recognizes that it's someone else's complicated drama, which he shouldn't interfere with.

Leon does have a distinct perspective on Loki's previous actions, particularly when Loki deceived others into thinking that Odin was dead. He pointed out, "You have to understand that your power was actually taken away by Odin. If Odin were to die, as the first heir, your power would return, and it would even grow stronger, not as limited as it is now. Mjolnir's enchantment is also tied to Odin's magic, so if he were to pass away, anyone with some strength could wield it." Leon looked at Thor and said, "Are you not aware of this?"

Thor, in his simplicity, appeared easily deceived. In reality, Thor's power doesn't solely come from Mjolnir; the hammer merely aids him in controlling and enhancing his power because he struggles with full control.

The primary reason for Thor losing his power lies in Odin's seal, as his power originates from Odin and the Odinson lineage. If Odin were to pass away, Thor would instantly regain his powers, potentially surpassing Odin's level, as he is Odin's first heir, and Odin would pass on everything to him upon his death.

This is why Odin told Thor that he would become stronger than him after his passing.

Thor, finally understanding, asked, "So, Father is not dead? Then why would Loki say that?"

Leon sighed and placed his hand on his temple, looking at Thor helplessly. "If you can't grasp even this level of understanding, communication might be challenging."

Thor knew that Leon was mocking him but still struggled to accept the truth. Thor genuinely regarded Loki as a brother, unaware of their true relationship.

Thor's simplistic nature made him challenging to reason with, even for Odin. Additionally, the current Thor lacked the wisdom and strength to fulfill his role as Odin's son and Asgard's prince.

Despite his military exploits, he paled in comparison to Odin's reign, as he had yet to experience true war. Still, he was determined to provoke conflict to assert his status and glory. He wants to start a war to validate his position and glory.

That's the primary reason for Thor's current exile.

"Thor, you need to understand the real cause of your exile and why you're currently unworthy of wielding Mjolnir. Only by comprehending these can you regain your powers and return to Asgard to reclaim what's been lost," Leon advised Thor in a straightforward manner.

Leon was concerned that Thor might still be in the dark about these crucial details. In Leon's mind, Thor seemed synonymous with foolishness.

"Talking to a fool can be so exhausting," Leon complained as he left.

He may have been accustomed to dealing with intelligent individuals all the time. People around him, whether friends or foes, were all astute individuals who thought deeply and could infer meaning from a mere glance.

Leon had made it clear that Loki had manipulated Thor and lied to him, all with the goal of taking the throne of Asgard. Why couldn't Thor understand this?

Following Leon, Barton and Phil Coulson also emerged.

"What's the plan?" Phil Coulson was uncertain, despite his position as the commander. Even Hawkeye Barton had to follow his lead. As a result, he entrusted the task of handling Thor to Leon.

Leon glanced at Phil Coulson, pondered, and then said, "If someone comes to bail him out, let him go. Thor isn't a bad person. If you all leave a positive impression on him, he might become an Earth protector in the future. Keep in mind, I'm not assisting S.H.I.E.L.D.; I'm assisting Earth."

"I understand," Phil Coulson replied with a smile, though he was skeptical of Leon's true intentions.

Leon was growing increasingly frustrated with S.H.I.E.L.D., as he felt that they were becoming too presumptuous lately or perhaps misjudging his willingness to help.

"By the way, there's one more thing I'd like to ask of you," Phil Coulson added unexpectedly.

Leon frowned, feeling annoyed, "F@ck, Again?"

"I'll tell you now; don't even think about it," Leon pointed at Phil Coulson's nose. Their relationship had only recently turned amicable, and they were far from being friends like Leon was with Tony. Leon genuinely considered Tony a friend and didn't mind being playfully teased into having a drink with him.

However, being summoned by Phil Coulson and S.H.I.E.L.D. was another matter altogether.

Thinking this, Leon prepared to take off and leave. But Phil Coulson mentioned, "It's about the Hulk."

Hulk? Leon had been involved in that battle before, and it did pertain to him in some way.

"We need someone to communicate to General Ross that his plan must be terminated. The hunt for the Hulk must cease. Please help us; your influence might even appeal to the Hulk," Phil Coulson hurriedly explained, outlining his request.

Leon let out a resigned sigh. It seemed that S.H.I.E.L.D. had learned Leon's character over time.

In simple terms, Leon disliked causing unnecessary trouble, avoided indebtedness to others, and was a responsible individual. If something was his doing, he would take the initiative to resolve it.

It was this "weakness" in his character that allowed him to be frequently called upon by others.
