Chapter 25: (You're my Everything)
"you're kidding, right?" I'm hearing voices...did he just claimed me as his like...like I'm some object...like a lamp or a toy.
"Listen here Richards, I'm not a toy or an object. For god's sake I'm a person...a living breathing person who has a life and choices in that life. I'm not a possession and most importantly I'm not yours" If anything, my reply acts as a fuel to his anger. Now, now is the moment ladies and gentleman that I'm truly scared. And that's not even in a scared of a spider way but scared for my life way.
"Alden, you're scaring me" Maybe...just maybe he'll take pity on me and will leave me alone.
Suddenly, I'm in his arms and he starts patting my hairs. Or maybe unicorns are real. But I feel myself relaxing by the second.
"Oh baby, you have no idea...no idea what you mean to me. No idea, how scared I was when I couldn't reach you. I tried everything...I called you multiple times but your cell phone was switched off. I texted you but you didn't answer. I came to your dorm but you weren't there. I asked Rae but she had no idea about you. Even your friends didn't know where were you. I was fucking scared Angel. Don't ever do that, please" Oh, my god...His words make my heartbeat faster and I look at him... the look that I saw in his eyes was anything but angry. He looked like he might cry any minute now. I almost feel sorry for him.
"I'm sorry Alden, I didn't know about it. I just needed to clear my head after that night."
"who was the guy?"
"what?" his question throws me out of balance.
"the guy, you still haven't told me about that guy" his hold on me tightens.
"He is my best friend" If anything, it only makes him angrier.
"His name, Angel...I want his name"
"what is going on, Alden. First, you behave like there's something between us but the next moment you throw me out like I mean nothing and now you're going crazy because my best friend kissed me on my forehead"
"you ...you think...you think you mean nothing to me...Did whatever I said just now didn't mean anything to you. How can you be so dumb"?
"Then tell me...tell me what do I mean to you. What does it mean" I'm tired, tired of the mixed signals he gives me.
"YOU MEAN EVERYTHING...EVERYTHING TO ME" He all but shouts at the top of his lungs making me flinch. He holds my face with both of his hands like I'm some precious doll.
"you're my everything Angel...everything" with that he kisses me.
His lips are soft as he brushes them along my lips...And I...I just freeze.
After a few seconds of not getting any effort from my end, he mumbles still kissing me "kiss me back, Angel...Please" his voice sounds needy.
"I don't know how" he moves back a little... just enough to look into my eyes, he smiles.
"just follow my lead" with that his lips again touches mine but this time he waits for me to start.
As soon as I brush my lips, the kiss turns from soft to passionate within a second and soon it turns demanding...demanding answers to the questions we don't even know exists, demanding control over each other...demanding safety in each other.
