Chapter 2: Chapter 2 -Where are we?
Edward was so happy to see everyone but also frightened by the strange figure's appearance he had so many emotions mixed up in him that he didn't know what to do, so he did the only thing that came to his mind he hugged Rachel," I'm so glad you made it", Rachel said that and Edward released her from his hold.
"What happened to you guys I thought you were gone?".
"Well, we though so too but when that monster was gone and we had a clear path we ran to the bridge as fast as we could", Randal said.
"But why are we floating?", Edward asked as he got up.
"We still are clueless about it, but I'm sure that we will find away home", Clarisse said.
"Looks like this trip was a total waste of time, and I'm the reason we can't return", Edward said as he sat down on the tree branch.
"Sure it may have been bad start at first and we may never return to home but let's look at the positive", Clarisse said.
"What positive things can be out of this situation?", Edward asked in frustration.
"Well, if you hadn't destroyed the bridge there could've been a lot worse and besides it's like you always say there's nothing bad in wanting to have a little adventure in your life", Randal said.
"I guess you're right but even if we get out this floating forest where would we even go?", Edward asked.
"I don't know but I'm sure that this place could become or new home", Rachel said as they all sat down.
"I hope that we get off this floating ground soon but in a mean time I'm gonna to look around does anyone want to join me?", Edward asked.
"I would like to check this place out with you Edward", Randal said.
"Okay, Clarisse and Rachel try to find some food for dinner and I hope that we get back soon enough", Edward said.
"I'm not going anywhere not util we made sure that it's safe here", Clarisse said.
"I agree we still don't know if there is more of them, so I will stay with Clarisse", Rachel said.
"Okay stay all you want maybe you even set a campfire while we are going to check this place out", Randal said.
"Okay see you soon", Clarisse said to them as they began walking.
While Edward and Randal were walking they have been silent for few minutes and then Randal began,"Well, today was centennially a strange day don't you think that, Edward?".
"It was quite an experience today I hope that we won't ran into that monster again".
"Yeah, I hope so too but we will face him once we return".
"By the way did you get the ability to see what he looks like?", Edward asked in curiosity.
"Not really but from the way he walked I must say that he was 9 feet at least he was very muscular and that's all I remember or at least that's what I saw".
"Do you think there are bears in this forest?".
"I hope so because that would mean that we could have dinner and besides anything is better than from that thing we were runing from".
"True, hey look at that", Edward said as he noticed a deer and pointed his finger thousands deer.
"A deer I never thought I see one in my life".
"Do you want to keep him as a pet?".
"Let's find out if we can catch him first", Randal and Edward began runing and the deer began running.
"Wait we don't want to hurt you we just want to keep you as a pet", Edward shouted, but the deer go further away to the forest.
"Well, it looks like a dear doesn't like you, Edward" Randal said.
"Maybe we should split the search? I mean to go separate ways and call once we find one another".
"Yeah but this forest is big how are we supposed to find one another", Randal asked.
"Maybe we could use our phones to call each other?".
"I'm afraid we won't be able to do that".
"Why?"
"Well, because I left my phone in a backpack and it's in the camping place where the girls are".
"I can call Rachel to bring your phone", Edward said that as he took his phone out of his pocket.
"Sure but how are we going to show her the way to us?".
"I'll try to describe to the path for her".
"Worth a shot", Randal said that as Edward took his phone and began calling Rachel.
Rachel was at the camping spot with Clarisse preparing the food for the fire they found some meat and some berries to try to cook them," This feels like old times doesn't it Clarisse?".
"What do you mean by that?".
"Well, we are literary making food like our ancestors used to do".
"I guess you're right I'm just worried that we won't be able to survive in this forest".
"Why would you think that?".
"Well because we barely found food and we are still not sure, if there is water in this forest?".
"Don't worry there is a waterfall I had noticed while I was looking for meat".
"Really where is it?".
"It's behind this rock then take a left turn, then a right turn and there it is", Rachel said that as she pointed her hand at the rock.
"Okay, I hope you're right either way i'm going to get that water".
"Okay, see you soon bye Clarisse".
"Bye Rachel", Clarisse said that as she began walking to the waterfall.
Rachel was about to fall asleep from waiting the guys and Clarisse, but she heard her phone ringing and she was caught of guard," Hello?".
"Oh, Rachel it's so good that you had picked up I had been trying to call you for hours, what happened? Is everything okay?", Edward asked.
"Yeah, everything's fine and what happened to you why are you still not back?".
"Well, we saw a deer and then tried to chase it but it got away and Randal forgot his phone so we were hoping you could bring it to us".
"Okay I'll bring it to you, but where did you exactly went?".
"Well, we went all the way straight took a left turn and now we are standing by these huge trees".
"Okay I will try to find you and bring Randal's phone to him, see you soon".
"Bye Rachel see you", Edward ended the call with Rachel.
