Chapter 10: Claiming My Lips

Sparks traveled in Rosaline's body as the cold lips of Jedediah touched hers.

Immediately, she pushed him away by placing her hands on his chest. Before he could speak, Rosaline stood up and ran out of his room, bare feet.

Jedediah placed his fingers on his lips, and a tiny smile formed on them. He looked towards the door and chuckled.

Rosaline halted with her hands on her knees to catch up her breath. She stood straight and rested her back on the pillar behind her. Her hands came to her chest.

"How could I—" She shook her head and squeezed her eyes shut.

"How could I do this? Why did I even grab Lord Jed's shirt? How will I face him? He will tease me every time we encounter each other?" She murmured while fidgeting with her fingers.

She looked around and found she had come to an unknown side of the mansion, which Martha did not show her because she ran away so fast that she forgot the path that she had taken.
