Chapter 1: Prologue
As Elizabeth Fairchild carried her baby away from the villagers, she kept running until she could not. The fire that came from her home, where she gave birth to her and her husband's child, Marcus however was her secret werewolf husband. Nobody from Bellfield nor Cornelia accepted them because it was forbidden for a human and a werewolf to fall in love, let alone be married. The outmost sacred rule between werewolves and humans for centuries but everyone has forgotten about the vampires yet… Marcus died in the fire.
Moreover, everyone from the village burned their home but Elizabeth knew this day would come. However, her 9-month-old daughter was still sleeping in a pile of blankets surrounding the baby's body. Elizabeth then, told her baby, "Your name will be Victoria Fairchild Greenwolf. Your parent's names were Marcus Greenwolf and Elizabeth Fairchild. So…" as she took off a beautiful dark emerald jewel, covered with a silver band elegantly around with its carvings, "this amulet has been with my family for generations but Victoria…it belongs to you now don't you ever give it to anyone."
As she placed the amulet around little Victoria's small neck, while she looked at her mother. Elizabeth. She loves her daughter so much she stood up, grabbed her daughter, and ran in the direction of the Keywalker orphanage. It was still night, the Keywalker Orphanage was a light-grey building with its brown colored roof and as for the windows they were dark so that no one could tell the color of this place.
As Elizabeth places little Victoria down on the doorstep of the orphanage, she looked around to make sure no one followed them. She scanned the area and there was no sight of anyone and for that, she was relieved. Elizabeth then left a letter containing her daughter's documents about who she was, why she was sent here, and above all, who her parents were.
"I leave you in their hands now, Victoria," said Elizabeth in a soft loveable whisper. Moreover, as her baby was looking at her mom, the baby was keeping the image of her mother's oval face, brown eyes, fair skin, curly dark-brown hair, her distinguishable duchess nose so that one day, when she is older, she can draw her mother's image.
"Goodbye, my angel." And, with that Elizabeth cried. Even though it hurt her like a thousand daggers right in her chest, she rang the bell of the place and hid behind the bushes outside the entrance. She watched from afar that a young woman opened the door and then, the young woman looked down to where baby Victoria was. As she kept crying and making noises the rest of the kids of the orphanage came to find out who's making such noise and as they looked at the little bundle the young woman said, "Shush, it is okay, you'll be fine, do not cry little one, Miss Bane is here." Said Miss Murray while carrying little Victoria in her arms and she then, looked at the dark emerald jewel around the child's neck and then, noticed the letter and then, read it carefully as her eyes widen in shock she turned to the rest of the kids of the orphanage and announced.
"It says here that her name is Victoria Greenwolf and we should take good care of her understood everyone." She thought it was best not to mention the famous family of Bellfield…from the Marquis William Fairchild's granddaughter that nobody knows except her now.
Everyone nodded in agreement, as the children went back to their dorms while Miss Murray carried the little bundle inside and closed the door.
Elizabeth on the other hand, smiled with her sad expression while crying for her and was glad to know that her daughter was safe.
