Many have attempted to reach high attainments in it, yet all…myself included, have failed to bring it to the peak of power." The old man stated while stretching out his right hand, upturning his palm, and manifesting a glowing orb of green energy.  

"In theory, the higher you increase your proficiency with my Hidden Vestiges of Physicality, the greater its rewards, and the more nourishment it can provide you." Then, with a flick of his wrist and a slight snapping sound, the orb of energy flung away from the old man and hit me smack dab in the center of my forehead.  

Although nontangible, the force behind the orb was immense, and I found myself staring up at the sky with a massive weight threatening to crack my skull and reveal what lay beneath.
