Chapter 53: Chapter 3: The Grand Mother

"Aha! The GrandMother ---yes! That satisfies me. Well, what do you say now Terre Sol?" Garran goaded.

"Very well. I will reserve my judgement until the Grand Mother gives her verdict," Terre Sol conceded. "Until then, we will remain in the Palace of Sword,"

"Then it is settled," Ma'an rejoined.

"Let us move to the feast hall," Racine ushered the crowd into the chamber beyond the great hall. It opened up into a grand dining chamber. The feast made Lucia recoil. An Orc's head was set as the centrepiece of a grand table. The other tables had a concoction of monster parts and guts decimated over the spread. The smell was repugnant. Racine sat Lucia by Clover. The other Demon Lord's joined Clover at the head table.

The Demon Lord Terre Sol was the first to dig into the food. After cleaning his plate, he summoned a servant to bring out more food. He continued to gorge himself. Garran watched with amusement.
