Chapter 12: Chapter 12 Supply Run
John wakes up, exactly 6 hours later. He gets up and saw that Glan was still sleeping in his sleeping bag. He takes off his shotgun and vest, because he didn't bother to last night. Now with only with his pistol on his waist, he exits the tent and starts to run down to the lake, running through the trail, he arrives at the lake. Looking around he doesn't see anyone, so he takes a bottle of soap from the system and starts to strip. Now completely nude he walks into the water and starts to wash himself.
While he was showering, he did not notice that a group of women were walking down to the lake, they were carrying baskets with clothes and a washboard. They arrive at the lake and don't notice John bathing, Amy who had been washing a shirt, saw some clothes lying on the shore. She walks over to them, she picks them up and thinks, "these look familiar.", then she hears some splashing.
Looking towards the sound she saw John standing with the water just above his waist, startled she lets out an "Eek" before turning away, the group of women hearing this come running over only to see John bathing, now looking at them, they all look at Amy and notice that her entire face is red.
John seeing them staring at him and Amy shyly peeking at him, he says, "Hey, can one of you get me at towel", one of the ladies, run to the camp and back, before throwing the towel at John, the Towel doesn't quite make it to him, so he walks forward, covering his dick with his hands, having trouble fully concealing it. He walks to the towel and grabs it, before wearing it quickly.
Then full of confidence he walks past the ladies and blushing Amy, putting his shoes on and taking his gun from Amy, he says a quick, "Goodbye.", before starting to walk up the trail, he can hear the group of ladies giggling and making some very bold exclamations.
Out of earshot, he reaches the tent and saw that Glen was still sound asleep. Before he went inside, he looks at the RV and can see Dale sitting up there, keeping watch. John goes inside the tent and summons the clothes that he took from the department store, he quickly puts on some boxers, then he put on some black Jeans and a red shirt. He put on his vest, shotgun sling, and holster, before he summons a 6-inch pocketknife from his system, he then put the knife in his pocket.
Now all loaded up, John walks out of the tent once again. He walks over to Dale and told him that he is going on a supply run in a couple hours. He walks down the trail to the lake and decided to sit down and look at the water glisten. John saw the group of ladies talking, they saw him and said something to Amy, which made her blush. She stood up and walked towards John, once she got to him, then she sat down beside him.
Amy then asked John, "How are you doing?"
John replies, "I'm good, I just wanted to relax, after experiencing yesterday. How are you doing this morning?".
She looks at him with a smile before saying, "I'm doing great today. I'm happy because my sister came back safe. I heard that you helped the scavenger group. Thank you for bringing my sister back".
John replies, "I didn't do anything too special."
Amy says, "I heard from Andrea that you, walked through a horde of hundreds of walkers, covered in walker guts. If that isn't special, I don't know what is".
John then replied, "Okay, I guess I was pretty badass yesterday."
John and Amy then talk for an hour, before John excuses himself. He asked her if she needed anything because he was going to the city, she gave him a list of what she wanted. He goes back to the camp, while Amy went back to the group of ladies, blushing as they tease her. John walks to the RV and talks to Dale, he asks him if he needed anything, after John gets a list from Dale, John suddenly hears a yell.
He bolts towards it, brushing past some bushes, he arrives in a clearing, and saw a dear with 3 arrows in it. There was a walker that was about to go towards it, but after it heard, Carl, Sophia and 2 other kid's yells. It turned and started to shamble towards the kids, seeing this John opens his pocketknife and stabs the walker in the head. A group of people come charging over but stop once they see the situation is handled. A man with a crossbow arrives and saw that the deer was not chewed on by the walker, he exclaims, "We are having Venison tonight!"
John then tells everyone that he is going on a supply run, he passes by them, walking towards the red Camaro. He gets in, starts it up, and then he backs up, turns around and starts driving towards the main road. Turning onto the highway John starts to drive down it, arriving at the edge of the city, John stops the car, he puts his shotgun in the passenger seat. John opens the shop and summons a nano suit in the form of a watch, he wears it, and it begins to spread over his whole body before turning invisible, the watch stays visible though. Looking through the store he also summons a blue lightsaber and a battle rifle from Halo 2.
Getting out of the car, John starts to run towards the city. Arriving in the city, under a bridge, he saw a walker, running towards it he ignites his lightsaber, making that iconic 'fwoosh' sound as a blue plasma blade appears. Running over to the walker, he swings from left to right, cutting straight through the walker's head, the heat of the lightsaber had burned the walker's flesh, creating a very unpleasant smell. Quickly getting used to the smell, John continues down the street, until he finds himself in front a hardware store on the corner. Walking towards the door John pushes it, feeling resistance, he slashes his lightsaber from top to bottom of the door frame and then kicks the door.
The door swings open revealing the inside of the hardware store. John had decided to enter this store because he remembered Dale asking him to try to find a new radiator hose while in the city. He walks through the store, sending many tools and useful items, such as nails and screws, to Eden. Grabbing a ton of stuff, he walks out of the store and runs down the street. Coming across a roaming horde of 40 walkers, John runs forward hacking and slashing at all the walkers, not necessarily killing them all, but they were dismembered and were immobilized after being cut by the lightsaber. After dealing with that horde, John extinguishes his lightsaber before sending it to Eden, John now holding his Halo battle rifle, starts to run further into the city, he passes by several hordes.
John using his rifle was able to wreak havoc across the city of Atlanta, running throughout the entire city, John clears any walker that he saw, while looting every building that caught his attention. While looting he didn't forget that cute blonde girl, Amy, grabbing her tons of chocolates, he also grabbed her a frilly, yellow sundress. Seeing as he had run around the city for quite a while and looking at his watch, he decided to head back to head back to the quarry. Arriving at the edge of the city where he had left the Camaro, he saw that it was missing. He thinks nothing of it because he knows there is a group of survivors living in a nursing home.
During his escapades he had seen several members of this group, but he didn't confront them as they had never seen him. However, they were curious as to why the city had way less walkers, but they probably just thought the walkers were leaving the city in search of more prey. John thinks about all the walkers he had killed, 'I had to have killed at least 1,000 walkers', but in reality, he had gotten so caught up in killing the walkers, that he couldn't even remember how many he had killed. John had actually killed over 10,000 walkers, unknowingly.
Seeing the Camaro gone, John goes into the system shop and buys a tan, armored jeep that had a turret mounted on the roof, he also buys 300 rounds for the turret, storing the ammo in the back. He stores some of the things he had looted from the building, before getting in puts his Halo 2 battle rifle into Eden, then he starts to drive back to the quarry. Arriving just before sunset.
Seeing that he still had some time he tells everyone about his trip and has them help him unload his vehicle. With all the stuff in the jeep now moved out except for the turret ammo, John walks over to an open area near Glen's tent and sets up his own. With that finished it was finally a little dark out and the group began to set up campfires, eating while talking to each other. John walks over and there just so happens to be a seat open right next to Amy, he sits there and talks to her, as the whole group begins to eat dinner.
With everyone now full of venison stew thanks to Daryl, they retire back to their tents. John goes to his tent and closes it before, willing himself to enter Eden, while changing the time dilation, so that a million years inside is one second outside. Now inside Eden, he saw the massive pile of stuff he had looted from the building in the city.
He opens the system shop and summons multiple androids to sort all of the stuff, into neat piles. When they finish, they shut themselves down waiting for the next time new things arrive. Seeing as all the stuff had been sorted, John changes the time dilation back to 1 second inside is the same as one second outside. He then wills himself to exit Eden and appears back inside his tent, laying down for the night he decides to sleep for a while longer, than the time he slept yesterday.
