Chapter 46: Chapter 46 Prison Upgrades
It was the day after John had his intimate time with his women, when John brought back the Androids, he summoned from a supply run. He had two of them present themselves as doctors and the other five Androids were designated as engineers.
John had introduced the Androids to the rest of the group and said, "These are some good people, I hope you can get along." John then introduces the Androids giving them their names at the same time, they were programmed to create a story of how they met and what happened to them since the beginning of the apocalypse.
John had told the Androids that he wanted the prison to look like a fortress. He brought them out on a run, they followed the railroad track and eventually arrived at some shipping container that were on a train. John had the Androids fix up the train, before they rode it back down the way they came from. There were multiple sections on the train, about 45 and they all had a couple shipping containers on them.
When they were near the prison, they stopped the train. John then summoned a flatbed truck, and some cutting torches, along with some welding equipment. After John had checked the shipping containers for anything inside, John found they were empty. John told the Androids to begin cutting the shipping containers into moveable pieces, that would fit on the truck. The androids cut apart 2 containers before the truck was at capacity.
John then transported the materials back to the prison, while the androids continued to cut the containers, John had brought one Android with him and told him to continue transporting the materials over to the prison. The Androids did this for about 10 hours before John had them stop; all the materials were paced in a neat pile, in the corner of the prison yard.
John had them continue to transport the materials, each day, for about 15 days. John told everyone at the prison, of his plans to fortify the prison, to make it a literal fortress. John explained about his ideas and asked for any suggestions. Travis who was pretty handy, said, "Why don't we make the front gate voice activated. Also, we could dig a tunnel underground that runs out of the prison, in case the prison ever gets overrun."
John says, "Those are both good ideas. Any other suggestions?"
Carl raised his hand and said, "We could surround the pond with a wall, so the walkers can't get in it."
John hearing this smiled and said, "Great idea Carl." With that the group finished discussing their plans and John had the Androids start the process of building a wall around the pond. When the wall had been finished, John had the Androids connect the pond to the main base. When that had been finished, the Androids cut out the piece of fence there and made a gateway using the fencing and some scrap material.
John had them make gates in many areas around the fence so people could get into the walkway quicker. With that done, John had the Androids begin to reinforce the fences surrounding the prison. This took multiple months and many more trips to gather materials, all of the time before winter was spent reinforcing the fences. When the fences were completely reinforced, John told the Androids to work on the generators, he also had them disconnect the power that went to the alarms. With the generators back on the prison had warm water and lights, also the heaters came on, heating the whole prison, even the towers.
With that out of the way and the prison ready for the winter, John had the Androids reinforce the towers. The prison was now a genuine fortress, surrounded with thick steel plating. Anyone who saw the prison, would be shocked by the transformation.
With the fence now fully fortified, and the generators running, John decided that the generators were taking too much fuel to keep running. John brought the Androids out of the prison; snow was now falling on the ground. The air was cold, as John boarded his truck with the Androids following him, they drove down the road for many miles before they turned off into a clearing.
John then summoned solar panel onto the top of the truck, making sure to secure them carefully. John then drove his truck back, arriving at the prison. John then had all the androids begin to move the solar panels, there were 25 of them and they were 4 square feet in diameter. John then climbed up onto the roof, carrying a solar panel, using some stairs the Androids had built. John and the Androids made about 4 trips, before all the solar panels were on the roof.
John then left the Androids alone while they set up the solar panels and wire them, connecting them to the prison. John walked down the stairs as he looked at all the progress they have made. It was mid-winter, and the snow was a beautiful sight. It was a mild winter so far, with very little snow.
John walked into cell block C, which was the main gathering area for everyone. John saw Sarah playing with Sofia and Lily. John walked over to Amy and Maggie; Alicia was off in the kitchen cooking. Amy and Maggie were sitting down on a bench as they talked to Carol and Liza, they had become friends with Liza, and Liza was happy to see how normal things have gotten since coming here.
Seeing John walk over Liza and Carol excused themselves. Amy and Maggie got up and hugged John gently, it was a little hard to wrap their arms around him. Their stomachs had grown quite a bit and it was plain to see that they were pregnant. Their round bellies now holding within them, John's child.
When the group had noticed that they were pregnant, they were all excited and happy. Hershel had talked with John, father to father, about how this will affect his life. John was happy that his sons or daughters would be born soon and had a nice talk with Hershel.
Anyway, John kissed them both before he backed away and began to talk to them. John said, "How are you feeling? My lovely ladies."
Amy looked at John with a smile and said, "I feel good. Although, I would like some chocolate and potato chips." John smiled and said as he hands Amy some chocolates he had in his pocket, "That's good to hear. How are you? Maggie. I know you said the morning sickness was a real hassle."
Maggie said with a lovely smile, "I'm feeling okay. But the morning sickness, is really doing a number on me."
John hearing this was concerned about her, he said, "Do you want me to get you some medicine?"
Maggie looked at John's concerned face and smiled before kissing him. Then she said, "Don't worry about me, you big Lugg. I'm fine, just a part of pregnancy."
John said, "Why don't you let Jack, 'The Androids Doctor', have a look at you again? Maybe he can help you somehow."
Maggie said, "Don't worry so much. I'm fine." She then pressed herself against her chest, as she kissed his cheek.
Amy said, "Yeah, calm down honey. We're both fine."
She then joined Maggie, cuddling into John's chest. John wrapped his arms around them, resting his palms upon their stomachs, rubbing them gently. Feeling this the girls smiled and pressed close to him.
They then looked at Sarah and Amy said, "Will our baby be like her? So cute and sweet?"
John answers, "Of course, they will. After all, they will have two great mothers to look after them and teach them. And a father to discipline and guide them lovingly."
Amy and Maggie, "Aww, yeah. You're right, our baby will be the cutest." Amy and Maggie then start to bicker about whose baby will be cuter. John smiled as he held them close, listening to their bickering. John looked over and saw Sarah plying cards with Sofia and Lily. Sarah noticed him and came running over, hugging him, she then grabbed his hand and dragged him away from Maggie and Amy to play.
As John was playing with Sarah, Alicia came out with Beth. John overheard Alicia tease Beth, "Hey, I see you're with Glen, huh?"
Beth blushes a little and remarks, "And I see, you're with John, huh" Beth expects to see Alicia blush as well, but she failed.
Alicia said, "He, he. Touche."
Beth pouts a little as she watches Alicia laugh at her, she walks over to John and says, "John, control your woman."
John hearing this, looks up at Beth and said, "Okay, come here Alicia. Let me discipline you." Beth looks on with a smirk as Alicia walks over to John slowly.
Alicia arrives in front of John, John leans down and kisses her lips, he then turned to Beth and said, "Punishment enough?"
Beth looked at John in disbelief before she sighed and walked away. John then turned to Alicia and smirked at her before discreetly pinching her round ass. Alicia yelped before she covered her mouth and glared at John, she then walked away from him, going over to Amy and Maggie. They started to talk in hushed voices, as John went back to playing with Sarah.
A while later, some ladies came through the doorway and the smell of food began to permeate the room. Sarah's stomach grumbled and she ran over to the ladies giving them her cutest look, the unparalleled weapon, "Puppy Dog Eyes". It was a critical hit and the ladies almost fainted from the cuteness.
They then began to prepare a plate of food for her as more and more people began to wander over waiting to be served as well. When everyone was served Hershel said a prayer, "God bless our food and drink, bless the hands that have prepared it, and may this food nourish us as we continue forward, Amen."
Everyone then began to eat, not everyone cared about the blessing, but they respected Hershel, so they waited for him to finish before they ate.
When everyone had finished eating, they went their separate ways and sat around the area, talking to one another to pass the time. John just sat quietly with his women; Sarah was playing with some other kids. His women were talking to their friends and having a good time and John smiled as he observed everyone getting along. Rick was near Lori and John could tell; he was trying to fix their relationship slowly.
Madison and her family were also enjoying themselves, they had grown close to and become a part of this group. Madison got along with Carol very well. Nick who had gotten clean and stayed so, was also talking to people, he got along well with Daryl. He would talk to him about his past and Daryl could understand him because of all the shit he has experienced.
After this gathering, John left while carrying a sleeping Sarah and his women followed. Entering the tower, John lay Sarah down as he undressed and put on sleepwear. His women had also undressed and changed into one of his shirts, using it as a gown. They then lay down on the bed to rest.
This leisurely life continued throughout the entire winter. Amy and Maggie's stomachs grew bigger and bigger as the days went on. The base was now fully powered by solar panels, over the months John had added even more solar panel and the generator could still be used if the panels were blocked.
After the winter ended and the final piece of snow melted. Lori had her baby, but sadly she had died even when John's Androids tried their best to save her. Amy and Maggie were very worried about their outcome, but John calmed them down telling them that nothing would happen to them.
