Chapter 21: Bleach Arc - 20
Khan arrived just in time to see Mayuri give a monolog while slowly stabing Szayelaporro. Khan noticed the deactivated Nemu, and figured while everyone's attention was on Mayuri, Khan combined Shadow Reach and Shadow Pocket. The result, the moment the shadowy hand touched Nemu, she disappeared without a trace. As soon as the arm disappeared, Mayuri, Renji, and Uryu noticed Khan.
Renji, who was damaged the worst, gripped his Zanpakuto and took a stance, even though he was in no condition to fight. Uryu was in better condition, then in the anime, but still had taken a beating. Mayuri was in perfect condition, but had no weapon, because he self-destruct it when Szayelaporro took control. Just the Unohana and her lieutenant Isane, both showed up.
'With no Chad or Gant to tend too, it would make sense they come here.' Khan thought. Both Unohana and Isane both had a look of confusion, when they saw Khan. Khan figured it was shock from not noticing Khan before arriving, or the fact Khan looks exactly like the man they been seeing in their dreams, maybe both. Mayuri was the first to break the silence by saying, "you're an interesting one, I didn't sense you at all, until I laid eyes on you, now I can't help but wonder how someone as powerful as you got this close without me noticing." Then Mayuri turned to Unohana and asked, "Captain Unohana I am without a weapon at the moment could you please capture this one for me?"
Before Unohana could react, Khan held up a hand, with three fingers out, then two, then one, then he pointed to a spot in the air, and right on que Aizen began making an announcement. "Greetings to are guests, I am impressed with how efficiently you dealt with my Espada, but alas I have to go, with three captains turning traitor and four more trapped here." Suddenly while Aizen was speaking, the four Gargantas that the captains used to get here closed shut. Aizen continued, "with the power of the Soul Society cut in half, I'll be taking four of my Espada to the World of the Living with me, Khan Vaciar and Ulquiorra Cifer I leave the defense of both Las Noches and Orihime to you."
Right on que, Ulquiorra broke free from his dimensional prison and answered, "of course Lord Aizen, I shall do as you ordered." With that said, the spiritual signatures of Aizen, Gin, Tosen, Stark, Barragan, Yammy, Zommari, and their Fraccion disappeared signaling their departure. Mayuri immediately yelled, "make sure no on interferes with me as I try to break this spacial lock!" Khan took a small leap back, which confused everyone there, until Kenpachi while blocking a cero, came flying through the air.
While everyone was distracted by the entrance Kenpachi just made, Khan activated both the Temporal Watch and the Soul Collector. Just then from a different direction, Byakuya came flying in, using his Kido to block a pillar of water. On one side stood Nelliel, Pesche and Dondochakka and on the other stood Harribel, Apacci, Mila Rose, and Sung-Sun. Both, former Espada seemed to be in pristine condition, then Khan noticed that Uryu was missing. Khan could tell that Ichigo and Ulquiorra were fighting on the "roof", and Uryu either went to help Ichigo or look for Orihime. Khan then thought, 'if Uryu goes after Orihime, he will be in for quite the surprise, between Rukia, Yoruichi, and his own mother, I don't believe he'll have much luck soloing the rescue.'
Kenpachi was dusting himself off, and laughing saying, "now that was an impressive attack! I hope you got more!" Kenpachi then removed his eye patch, and his power skyrocketed. Then Byakuya chimed in saying, "it would be a disgrace if I'm out done now, Ban-kia!" Suddenly a whole shower of Byakuya's Cherry-Blossem-Pedel blades began swirling around. Khan not saying a word out loud the entire time, simply gave his head a quick pointed nod, signaling everyone else that the two captains were his.
Kenpachi had a look of annoyance, then he said, "who do you think you are butting into are fight." Khan said nothing, he just activated a Shadow Blade on each arm. A smile crept across Kenpachi's face as he recognized the weapons, but before he could say anything, Byakuya threw out his hand and the full force of his Bankia charged at Khan. Khan used Shadow Reach to both block the attack and launch a counterstrike. Distracted by the huge shadow arm blocking his attack, Byakuya was caught off guard by another shadow arm that gave him a right hook across his face. A very distinctive crunch could be heard as Byakuya lost control of his weapon and passed out. Kenpachi wasting no time immediately lunged at Khan, and the two began crossing swords.
Unohana quickly began treating Byakuya, her lieutenant Isane asked, "how is Captain Kuchiki?" Unohana responded, "he'll be fine, there was a broken jaw to contend with, but I've already corrected it, how is lieutenant Abarai?" Isane quickly glanced at Renji then back to Unohana and said, "fully recovered, the Ryoka Ishida left to go help Kurosaki." Isane glanced at the Arrancar, then asked, "should we do something about them?" Unohana without looking away from Byakuya said, "I would be more concerned with the one Kenpachi is currently fighting, if you actually look you can tell the Arrancar that are standing by are all in a released state, while he is not." Unohana then looked directly at Khan, and continued, "another thing unless I'm looking directly at him, I can't sense him, that by itself is bad enough." Isane looked at Khan then started to shuffle uncomfortably, Unohana noticed and asked, "is everything alright Isane?"
Isane partly opened her mouth then immediately shut it, then she said, "with how easily he handled Captain Kuchiki, and he the fact he seems to be toying with Captain Kenpachi, we might have to do something desperate to ensure some form of victory." Unohana got a concerned look on her face and asked, "Isane what are you saying?" Isane took a deep breath and said, "you and Kurosaki are going to be needed to defeat Aizen and help those in Karakura Town." A frown formed on Unohana's face as she thought about what Isane said. No matter how hard she tried Unohana couldn't figure out another way, or rather she wasn't able to, do to Corrupted Love, any plan that Khan doesn't benefit from seems unfeasible. Unohana could do nothing but say, "we must do what we have to." Khan and Kenpachi were locked in, when Khan got the notice.

Khan broke away from Kenpachi, and quickly accepted Ulquiorra's soul, with no real time to go through the potential list he decided it was time to finish the fight. Ichigo and Uryu appeared just in time to see Kenpachi get a massive cut across his chest and get knocked back a couple of yards. Mayuri announced that he figured out the lock and a Garganta opened up. Unohana stood up and told Ichigo, "We need to leave, trust in the others to save Orihime." Ichigo looked shocked at what Unohana just said to him, he couldn't help but think about what Khan had said earlier but agreed and left with Unohana putting all his hopes for Orihime's rescue with Uryu.
The moment Ichigo and Unohana were in the Garganta, it closed shut, much to annoyance of Mayuri, because it closed before he could enter it, or at least that's what Mayuri thinks. Khan used Shadow Manipulation to get Mayuri to close the Garganta early. After Kenpachi fell unconscious, Khan focused on Mayuri, while signaling the others to finish off the rest. Even though Mayuri's Zanpakuto was broken, he still had his spells to fall back on. Khan decided to test his Hydro Shot, it was no bigger than Khan's fist, but it moved so fast, that before anybody could react Mayuri Kurotsuchi head was gone.
Khan turned his attention to who was left. The Tres Bestias were toying with Uryu, while Harribel just knocked out Renji. What actually surprised Khan was to see Isane and Nelliel sitting there, having what looks like a pleasant conversation.
Once Uryu's unconscious body dropped, Khan told the Tres Bestias that there was a lieutenant left, he described a young girl with pink hair, he told them to go find her and to underestimate her. Khan looked over the unconscious bodies of Byakuya, Kenpachi, Renji, and Uryu, he applied a dose of Nurgle's Twisted Touch to each of them before placing them in his Shadow Pocket. Khan paused as he held Renji's Zanpakuto and remembered what its human form looked like. Khan decided to keep it and try some experiments on it. Then Khan approached Isane and said, "hello Isane, I think you and I should have a little conversation of our own." Isane eyes clearly had questions, like who he was, or how did he know her name, but there was also excitement and anticipation for what was going to happen next.
