"Open the door Elis."
His dad shouted from the door outside his room.
A boy was seated in front of his laptop, as he munched on his popcorns that had already lost its taste.
Who knows for how long the popcorn had been left out in open air.
The constant banging of the door persisted for around two minutes before the man outside the door completely gave up.
"Why are you acting so caring all of sudden?" Ellis bit his nail staring at his favorite anime.

"Honey, isn't he coming out ?" His mother had tears all over eyes as she hugged her husband. "That boy, how long is he going to act like this?"
Tears rolled down her face like waterfall and did not stop until she could cry no more.
The husband kept patting the shoulder of the poor wife while he himself was distressed.
The teacher of Elis who had come to visit them could not look at this scene anymore.
"We are sorry for disturbing you this late at evening." A female teacher got up from the sofa clutching her back.
"I hope Elis will pull his mind back and act like a proper kid." She showed a deep sympathy to the couple who looked as if the burden of the world was at their shoulder.
The teachers exited the room after wishing them a goodnight.

"Ughhh...my eyes hurt." The mother wiped her eyes and directly entry to the washroom.
"I look ugly..." She scrunched her nose in disgust. There was not even a remaining hint of sorrow from before.
"That boy, i don't even care about that good for nothing anymore." taking the evening newspaper he made himself comfortable on the couch.
"Its not like I care as well." Wiping her face with towel the mom came out of the washroom.
"It was just for showing to the teacher...tsk tsk...too uncivilized...Barging in others house out of nowhere."

'Ahh....so it was an act.' Ellis peeped though his door at his two parents mocking himself for thinking they even cared about him.
"All they care about is money, fame and money." Ellis felt his heart break into pieces.
Ellis had always been a brilliant kid but no matter how much hard he worked he was always belittled and beaten by his parents for not being good enough.
SO here he was, a high school drop out shut in and a degenerate weeb who spent entire day and night watching anime.
Anime, they were the only thing that gave him purpose to live on.
Today, they were about to air the new season of his favorite anime, Parasyte. So he was more than looking forwrads to it.
"Hmm....I wonder what would happen.." Ellis thought to himself as he drank a cup of water. He was looking at his phone waiting for the episode to serialize.
"Breaking news!!! The news about the new season of Parasyte is FAKE!!!!!"
"What???"
Cough cough cough...
He choked on mouthful of water. The water seems to have entered his lungs.
He violently coughed until he turned red and purple from coughing.
He slowly lost his vision and fell down on the floor, his soul had already escaped from his weak body.

"It's dark....Am I dead?"
Ellis looked around him and saw only darkness.
[Testing 1 2 3....ahhh ahh ahh....welcome abroad superstar..]
A voice spoke inside his head and to his amazement the whole room lit up in disco light.
"What???" Ellis was dumbstruck. Who the hell was superstar.
[I don't think I have to tell you but you have died.]
"Well, I pretty much figured that."
[Ahemmm...]
[You have been selected as the weeb of the century.]
"What is this title?" Ellis asked curious.
The name sounded too good to be true.
[This means you have the privilege of going on a tour to any anime anime world you want.]
The system ended its message with a beep.
[So are you willing to go on a new adventure?] The system asked.
"Is that even necessary for you to ask???"
"Its a big freaking yes!!!!" Ellis shouted out in excitement. He had never been this excited before when he was alive.
[Then please choose your destination anime.]
Ellis wanted to go everywhere but for now he thought for a while before making a decision.
