Chapter 2: Enslaved

'Food it's right here' where he slumped in the soil was just right as he dug his hands into the small dampened area. Nourishment slowly rose towards his fingers as his body became immobilised, feedings were his most venerable stages, his body would become paralysed due to his ability to drain life energy where it existed.

If there was no life he too would eventually perish with this forsaken world.

Being what he was, it was a curse in it's own right.

An Undead, but not the kind you'd think, unlike vampires he would never die, unlike the zombies he could contain his urges, unlike a human, he never needed to eat food or drink water. All he needed was the Earth, because he was what they called 'The Ancestor' - the one who takes'.

The being that was the first creature to be born before the Werewolves and Ancient vampire bloodlines within the temples of Egyptian Gods. Anubis - God of death blessed the black blood in a chalice to ever been partaken, with his own single drop of blood it was done.

However being created to be strong, the curse that binded him was his only one true feeling, the feeling, of pain. Slowly but surely his body's paralysis began to fade away, first starting with his fingers, hands, arms before it ranked through his body. A painful after math feeling, just as painful as being starved with no nourishment for as long as he'd endured it.

Even though his feeding was finished and his body was no longer immobilised, he didn't move. Not because he was tired, no but even before he had found this spot of nourishment he heared and smelled the scent of the two Wolves who watched him wearily a meter away.

He'd hoped to cross their territory in peace but that wasn't going to be the case this time. He knew the risks when he crossed their threshold boarder line, He knew werewolves were peaceful creatures by nature, but they had their pride that blinded their actions and could shape a beast of unbecoming rage and desire.

Right now he didn't have many options as he rested for the time being. Truth be told, he didn't wish for a fight however he doubted they would let him go on an apology alone. Knowing their customs, he had to be interviewed by their leader, that was his only chance at whether or not to be put to death.

Slowy but quietly the Wolves came forward, he could hear their paws slightly shift and their fur lightly bristling in the wind. He could smell each if their scents, one of fire wood and herbal grass tea whereas the other an intensive gravel mixed with roses.

However the last scent had a hint of a blossom tree, he knew this scent did not belong to the wolves in front but someone associated with them. 'That wolf has a lover' he thought, he'd heard of the Packs way of claiming. The first stage was with smell, this wolf had yet to finish the next two stages which were marking and mating.

Finally the wolves were at least five steps within reach. He still didn't make any move, he didn't want to be taken as a threat.

Suddenly he felt a nudge of a wet nose on the side of his face. Although this action seemed innocent the real movtive was to be as close to the neck as possible encase of a surprise attack. Getting no response from him the other wolf being slightly more brown, circled around and saw his eyes blink up at him. This startled the wolf and he let out a growl of suspicion. However he simply remained upon the ground to show that he did not wish to fight.

The slightly more copper coloured wolf nudged him this time with more force than the other had down, letting him know to get up slowly. So he did, slowly he placed his hands behind his back and carefully got up. The wolves were a big as he predicted, one the size of a small car whereas the other slightly bigger, they obviously had a high status for they were quick and smart and the size of their wolves were impressive. The slightly more brown wolf growled lowly and bumped him to the left, He wasn't sure what that meant but he kept his head down and neck bare to show respect. Even though he could have killed them easily, fighting was never something he did at random without a true purpose.

Then again the browner wolf bumped into him and finally he understood.

'Forward'

So he did, at the same pace they walked either side of him. An Alpha he thought, if these were high ranked wolves already, how big would their leader be? His thoughts were cut off as they entered deep within a dead forest. They had been walking for quite some time, if he had to guess it would be at least one hour before they reach a forest. He hadn't spoke at all, he had no idea how they would react. So he kept to his own and walked further into the dark forgotten forest.
