Chapter 1: Beneath the Valhallan Lemons
Robertus Augustus Romulus Clericus Caesar of the House Pimogie, he thinks to himself, as he sits beneath the large Valhallan lemon tree. It is a name that rings with power throughout the universe, a name he shares with the founder of his house and the empire itself. he feels bemused though to be only in this position due to his birth. This is something that has crossed his mind often. Korë has helped him to settle into his name more, as she too had to live with being named after a goddess by her priest mother. He knows it's hard to argue that his birth didn't help him from growing into such power, but all of his cousins haven't had the same success as him. He leans deeper into the tree, he feels the soft grass beneath him as if he is bare against it. He smirks to himself, thinking that he would be in a more free state if he didn't have a meeting today. He stretches his legs moving them in the grass.
He listens to the wind flowing through the garden rustling and moving through its trees. He focuses in on the sound of the stream that flows into the cool pond of the garden. He feels the warm rays of Aramazd, as attempts to cook his skin, Unfortunately for the sun, he has made sure as always to go through with his daily care routine. He closes his eyes and looks up for a moment, then looks down and opens them the would has a blue hue. He moves the sunglasses down to cover his eyes. His eyes feel cooler, and the light feels less harsh. Robertus feels at peace, he still feels the tickling of wishing he was back on Pimogia, but he has made a home here the last few years. While what he has here isn't his whole world, but he has a lot of the most important people in his life here. People he has been through a lot with, as they have stood by him when he was sent out to travel. He watches the whisps of clouds float by as he thinks. His face churns as he thinks about his looming meeting.
The Cherwinski Corporation has been having issues again. He can't upset them too much even though he could easily put them down, as most of the security and defenses of Valhalla are all Pimogies. The Cherwinski family and their company have been one of the largest friends of his family and people, helping them to grow into what they are today. The nation of Slavia is strong and will defend the Cherwinski Corporation tooth and nail. They too have been a friend. Its inconsiderable to do anything more than playing with the idea of doing any sort of damage to these relationships. Robertus starts to ponder what he needs to do to help the Cherwinskis. He is frustrated that the strain of the issues is coming from the Nest. He has allowed them to function as its better to allow them to stay in the open, it has even been fostered by him and his cousin Romulus. He has attempted to keep the high-ranking players in the Nest as friends, with Conar having become a close friend, and the head of the Rogue Rosier, they are the internal police of the Nest. Robertus though sees the threat of Blanco Diablo growing as they become more violent and break away from many of the codes of conduct that the Nest has promised to adhere to. He lets out a deep sigh as he doesn't want to think about such stressors at this moment, the day is too nice and young for such worries to be filling his mind.
He leans back on the tree again and watches the leaves and large lemons dance in the trees. He laughs to himself at the thought of one falling and hitting his head. He yawns as he sinks deeper in to the nature around him as he becomes engulfed in the peace of the moment, and gently falls asleep.
