Chapter 64: Chapter 63: Battle against the Giant

Baldwin was panicking, looking at the enormous body of the giant.

"August, I'm not sure, but how the hell we will get away from here alive?" inquired Baldwin with slight fear in his voice.

August hummed, thinking about the probable outcomes of this fight, but whatever he thought about this was just too much for him to handle alone.

"You need to hide. You will only make it harder, for me," said August, sitting on his knees, sitting still.

Baldwin looked at August with thousands of questions but looking that August took a seat in the middle of the cave, while the giant was taking a slight meal with the remaining soldiers that were running around.

With a sigh, Baldwin run further from the Giant and hid behind the stone, peeping at the fight or better say massacre of the soldiers by the gigantic creature.

August focused on using magic, slowly finding what he was searching for. Closing his eyes and without opening his mouth, August said, "Albert, I need you in Tiona Valley. The situation is extreme."

Saying nothing more, August's eyes snapped open, and he started to take all the things but his armour and a sword from his body.

Downing potion after potion, he drank: Blizzard, kiss, full moon, towly owl, Maribor forest, swallow, Petri's philer. Enhancing his reflexes, vitality, signs, endurance and regeneration.

Gritting his teeth, August squeezed the handle of his sword while potions were slowly taking their effect, making August stronger.

Before long, August released a sigh of relief when the first wave of pain from drinking potions passed and it was just about the right time when the giant finished last from the soldiers that came here to kill them.

Before Albert could find them, there was no way that August would be able to kill a giant alone. But for now, the number of options was something they had a lack of.

Taking a bow in his hands, August carefully aimed at the giant and fired all the arrows he could, aiming at the eyes of the giant trying to blind him before fighting.

The first arrow struck the giant right in his eye, making him roar and turn his head to the side almost immediately, making him very angry and also avoiding all the arrows that flew in his second eye.

But one shot was successful and that will serve August good.

Like a wild, crazy beast, the eye of the Giant looked toward August and roared.

*RAAAAAAA*

The breath of a Giant was just something. August covered his nose with his hand to avoid having to smell that.

Giant walked towards August, making the cave slightly shake with every step he took. The distance between them was not much, about 40 meters. So with every step, the Giant makes his way closer and closer to August.

This Giant was 15 meters high, with long arms of about 7 meters, big teeth that point in different directions and are the size of a human skull.

Giant tried to catch August with his hand, hitting the place with his palm where August stood, lifting his hand up he found no August there.

August rolled towards the Giant legs to make him lose sight of him, while he does his thing.

Getting close to Giant legs, August inserted his sword right in his Achilles tendon, making Giant scream once more, dropping to one of his knees, while trying to punch August with his fist.

Pulling his sword back, August ran away from the arm of a Giant and hid, getting behind the leg of the Giant.

Not getting what he wanted, Giant stood back up with an insignificant problem. It seemed like August's sword was not big enough to inflict a fatal wound on the big guy or even immobilize him for some time.

Giant looked down on August like an ant and started violently hitting the ground with his limbs, creating an earthquake and making stones drop to the ground.

Giant hands moved from both sides of the August, making a clapping move, wherein between huge hands there was August.

Trying to avoid the clap of the Giant, August rolled further away from the Giant, trying to avoid the clap.

Just when the hand of the Giant closed in the clap, creating a loud sound that slightly stunned August, but that was not all. Avoiding the clap was successful, but just when August was about to relax, he was hit by the long nail of the Giant sending him flying across the cave, hitting the wall.

The Magic shield that protected August until now disappeared into nothingness.

August dropped to the ground after hitting the wall, landing on his legs, but using his hands not to fall to the ground. The hit was hard, and it was difficult to adapt quickly back to the prime.

Spitting blood to the side, August rose to his full height and dashed at the Giant that tried to slap August once more.

Seeing the incoming attack, August used Aard and jogged himself in the air and landed on the opposite side of the palm.

Without giving Giant time to react, August quickly injured tendons that were located there to make it impossible for him to move with his fingers.

Seeing this Giant went mad and sharply moved his hand up, making August fly in the air. Before he was able to hit the ceiling of the cave, August once again used Quen to create a shield before hitting the ceiling and dropping to the ground without the ability to control the free fall.

August saw how the teeth of the Giant were getting closer and close to him, as his mouth was getting open in an attempt to swallow the flying Witcher.

Using Aard once more, August pushed himself away from the Giant and flew right towards the wall. August simply had no time to create another shield and trusted this one on luck.

Just before August was about to hit the wall, something caught him in the midair, a transparent barrier that didn't hurt.

August looked to the side of the entrance that was still blocked seeing Albert there.

"Bro, what the hell is this? I got here as fast as possible, but this is a freaking enormous beast! You want to kill it?" Albert quickly asked.

"Less talking, more actions," replied August, focusing on Giant that was slowly making his way towards August.

"Right, we have a beast to slay, we will do the talking later," said Albert with a slight chuckle before continuing, "But how the hell we are supposed to kill this guy?" inquired Albert.

"Stab him until it is dead," replied August

Shrugging his shoulders Albert replied quite sarcastic "Sound like a fucking good plan"

August once again dashed in between the legs of the Giant and tried to slice through his Achilles tendon to at least make him immobile, but his sword simply stuck inside without the ability to move.

Pulling it back, August moved further away from the Giant. Trying to avoid all of his attacks.

August shouted "I know what to do"

"What?" Inquired Albert

"Take his attention on you," replied August.

Albert first looked at August and then at Giant "Shit, brother you want me dead of what?" getting no response Albert quietly said "Alright"

Albert teleport right in front of the giant and pierced his small toe. Making Giant swap to Albert, who almost immediately teleported further away to avoid an incoming strike from above.

While Albert took the attention of a Giant to himself, August quickly arrived close to the things that he dropped at the start, to make himself more mobile and flexible in the fight.

Searching for a specific poison, August found it and quickly applied it to his sword.

August shouted "Albert, I need you to give me a lift on his head"

Albert said "It is easy to say, but difficult to do"

"Albert, you just need to drop me there," replied August.

"Alright," replied Albert and appeared right before August, hugging him and teleporting right on the head of the Giant, dropping August there.

Feeling something off, the Giant attempted to slap his face, to which August inserted his sword into his skull not to fly away.

August quickly made his way to the side of his skull and jumped down towards the uninjured eye and inserted his sword until its full length inside of his eyeball, making it all the way to the brain.

The reason for such an action was quite logical. To affect anything in the Giant, you will need a lot of poison, and a lot of injuries to kill him. But the place that always was the most fragile in any living creature is their brain. If the brain can no longer process things, there will be no living creature.

Giant released an agonizing scream and slapped his face on the impulse, sending August to fly like a bullet crashing into the wall of the cave, making produce cracking sounds.

Dropping to the ground, not on his legs, but with his face down towards the ground.

Albert quickly arrived nearby and took August in his hands, teleporting away. Leaving Baldwin and the raging Giant alone.

However, he was raging not for too long before the poison spread around his brain, making him drop to the ground not yet dead, but also barely alive.

Baldwin peeped from behind the stone and said, "What the fuck did I get myself into?"

///

Do you like it?

To be honest, this was hard to write, when you try to do this against a creature that is much bigger it is hard to write, hopefully, it sounded good enough.

Now drop some power stones and I will release another chapter sooner than later.
