Chapter 2: Fire

I'm running down the hallways turning left and right. These white marble floors are so cold on my bare feet. I'm still in my soft yellow nightgown as I rush to my dressing room. I finally stop at a solid gold door with black detailing, I turn the golden door nob and walk inside. I think I will go hunting today. I mean I did yesterday but I never caught anything. I walk inside my room and look around at my light pink walls along with my white curtains. The white dressers I've had since I could walk. The fluffy animal pelts along the floor from hunts I have succeeded in.

I reached for my dresser and pulled out my dark brown hunting pants, along with my tan long sleeve shirt and a reddish-brown hunting cloak. I also decide to put my favorite black heel boots on. After putting on my clothes, the door opened up. I saw two familiar figures come in. "Hey sweetie you off to go hunting before your celebration?" asked my mother. "Yes, you know I love to hunt, it's in my blood!" I exclaimed as I spun around. My cloak wrapped around my feet as I was spinning I hit the floor with a thud. "Okay be careful! Love you!" my mother screams as I run out the door and down the hallway towards the back of the castle.

I ran out the back door of the castle and into the forest. I looked at the tree line of thick tall trees and a small trail. I ran as fast as my feet would go. I love being in the forest. Being a wolf has its perks. I form into my half form. My white ears pop out on the top of my head and my solid white tail comes out as well. All of my senses become stronger as well. I sniff the air and sence there is a deer nearby south of my location. I begin slowly walking through the brush and trees. I crouch down and reach into a nearby tree and pull out my bow and arrows. I throw the container of arrows onto my back and hold the bow and begin stalking into the direction of the deer once again.

After about 10 minutes of stalking the deer, I finally spot a doe. I sniff the air once again to make sure no one or anything else is around. There is none. I slowly bring the bow up to my face and slowly pull the sting back. Right as I was about to release the string to kill the deer, it raised its head face and look to the north. I'm in the east around it right now. I looked in the direction as saw something flying about the castle. It roared so loud I could hear it from here. I saw fire come out of its mouth. 'Oh no,' I thought. I jumped up and ran toward the castle. I had to see if mom and dad are okay.

I reached the town before the castle and seen everyone running. I froze. The whole town is on fire, "Everyone into the forest now" I scream as loud as I can. I shifted into my full wolf form, my clothes sinking into my skin. I was 5 feet tall from the ground to my shoulders. Solid white. I ran as fast as my four legs would take me toward the castle gate. "Let me in" I growled at a guard. The guards opened the gate and I ran. I saw the castle, my home, engulfed in flames.

I ran through the front door as people were running out. I arrived in the main hall and howled for my parents. Nothing. I ran to the throne room and seen my father. He had a large hole in his chest from a sword, it was still in him. I ran up to him and shifted into my half form. "Daddy, what happened?" I whispered as I looked around and seen his eyes slowly open "Run. They want you. Please run. They killed your mother. I can't... let you die too... Please... run... I... love...." he started out strong but ended in a soft whisper. He was gone. I watched as his eyes slowly go cold. I watched his soul leave his body. "Daddy... No..." I screamed. I started to shake him and nothing. He was gone. I just lost my father and my mother.

I stood up and ran out the thrown room door. Toward the back door and out the door. I shifted and darted to the tree lines. Next thing I knew I was in the air I screamed and howled as loud as I could. I looked up to see a large dragon holding me by his claws. He was so big. He was the biggest dragon I had ever seen. He was a ruby crimson red in color. He had strong ruby red eyes. He looked down at me then back up and flew. His wings were so beautiful. A strong crimson red which trailed into a dark black at the tips.

I began trying to bite at him. I almost had him until he shook me. I began to get dizzy until I looked down. I started to get scared.

'Where are you taking me?" I screamed as I looked up at him. "We are going to my home. You are now mine. I will take you as my bride. You must obey me. Understand? Or I won't hesitate to kill you." He said with a grin. 'What in the world is going on today.' I thought as we were flying over the forest below. I am assuming we are going to the mountain areas that I have only seen on the map. My father used to tell me to never go there or I will be killed. So I stayed by the castle and the nearby forests all my life. I watch the forest slowly turn into rocky hills and then smaller mountains.

I looked up at the dragon and screamed, "Can you at least tell me your name?" "Alvion Katsuki, But you will only call me 'King.' Understand?" He growled out, sounding a little bit annoyed that I even spoke to him.
