Chapter 52: The worry of a father

"There is something seriously fucked up with this place. I think he has a lot of enemies.''

I hear my dad's voice before I even open my eyes. He sounds scared, he is on the phone, probably talking to my papa.

"Babe, this is a lot more than I want for my son. I have never seen the kind of shit I saw yesterday.'' he laments into the phone. "Yeah, I am going to bring him back to the community. I didn't know how I feel about him and this Lowell guy. The man is dangerous, he is not a good fit."

He pauses.

At this point, I am just eavesdropping on their conversation. I mean, they are talking about me, I have a right to know what they are saying. "I know he might be his mate but I don't like it,'' he sighs "Yeah, I know. We can't control him but I will talk sense into his head when he wakes up. Yeah, I love you.''

"Okay, Bye.''
