Chapter 5: Ideas
It had been two months. Nightwing and Jacob texted each other like crazy. Jacob's mom was becoming a little unbearable. Too over protective. It was as if she learned something terrible. Jacob wanted to escape so badly. He wanted to fly. He's wanted to, but hasn't, since that day with Nightwing in the woods. He got an idea.
"Home life is becoming unbearable," he sent Nightwing, randomly, out of the blue.
"What?" She sent back, "What do you want me to do?"
"Mom isn't letting me do anything," He continued.
"Why are you telling me this?" She said, obviously confused.
"My peers are so mean," He said.
"What do you want me to do?" Nightwing sent again.
"Help me," Jacob answered.
"How?" She asked.
"So full of questions," Jacob sent, mockingly, "Allow me to stay in the campground with you, or at least in the clearing we had flown in before. Give me sanctuary. Help me run away."
"Running away from your problems won't solve anything," She sent.
"You won't help?" Jacob asked.
"I'll help," she sent, Jacob could hear her sigh in his head.
Many texts were sent back and forth, about time date, food supply, transportation, not getting lost, etc, etc. They decided they would meet in the clearing, on the next Saturday, Nightwing would wait for Jacob, Jacob would fly there. Nightwing seemed worried about the fact that Jacob was flying there, he was untrained, really, in the art of flying. He hadn't flown very long before, and definitely not distance. To drive from Jacobs place it took about an hour. Depending upon how fast he flew it would be less, if he was trying to overexert himself, and it could be more, if he kept a steady leisurely pace. Nightwing already knew which he would chose. There was no changing his mind, even though it could be dangerous. Nightwing had tried multiple times to make him change his mind. He was too stubborn.
