Chapter 2: Chapter 2, meeting the family
3rd POV
Amidst all the rubble the two saiyans stared at each other unblinkingly, one with childlike curiosity and the other with admiration and wariness in his eyes.
A deafening silence stretched out until the familiar saiyan in a orange gi shouted out towards our MC, with a beaming smile.
"Hey! The names goku! You seem pretty strong, what's your name?"
As the orange martial artist stared out at his fellow kin, our MC couldn't help but let the bewilderment appear on his face.
After some deliberation he shouted back at equal enthusiasm and volume with his reply.
"Nice to meet ya! The name artic!"
"You've got a pretty weird name!"
"I could say the same about you too!"
They both seemingly grinned at their own banter. The atmosphere reached a somewhat friendly point. Well that was until goku noticed something oddly familiar on the warrior in front of him.
His eyes wandered down to artic's crotch area.

His eyes focused on the brown thick fur covered tail seemingly swaying in the air, as if waving at him.
"Wait a second! Is that a tail! Are you another saiyan!"
The wild haired warrior chose to question artic with a reasonable amount of caution.
Artic's POV
Ohhhhhh crap, seeing as he can recognise what I am that means I'm somewhat late in the timeline…
I can work this, I guess it's gonna be slightly harder to get strong fast enough but I can make it work, man this is annoying though.
Now I guess I've gotta make a decent backstory...…..AAHHHHH COME ON THINK,
You know what, I'll just rip-off someone else's backstory with some modifications.
"Yes I am a saiyan, I only recently landed on this planet, I would've landed much earlier but my ship was knocked off course due to it being hit by a few asteroids, and being launched into a wormhole, I was spat out into the mesosphere of this planet and decided to fly down to land"
Oh crap did he see me copy his signature move? Well technically it's not his since like 6 other people use it but still, let's hope he's stupid enough to ignore it or that he didn't hear me chant out the name of the technique.
After telling him my story, he decided to hit me with a question.
"So what are your intentions for this planet!"
He appeared to be in one of his rare moments of seriousness, judging by how his whole body was tensed up,I decided to assuage his worries.
"I don't have any malicious intent towards the planet, I only wish to use its resources to get stronger, after all it is my blood to improve my fighting capabilities, I'm sure you can relate."
After announcing my intention he seemed to stare into my eyes as if searching for any reason to doubt me, but after a few seconds his shoulders seemed to sag with relief and his facial muscles visibly relaxed.He must have a knack for reading people considering how fast it took for him to read me. I guess goku really does have his moments
"I'm sorry for being a bother but would you mind allowing me to temporarily stay under some shelter while I gather my wits and adjust to this planet.
He opened his mouth to respond. After some light deliberation he seemed to come up with an answer.
"Sure! You seem friendly enough, I just have to ask chi-chi whether you can stay with us or not!"
Chi-chi really does wear the pants in their relationship ships doesn't she?
"Thanks a lot. Would you mind leading me towards your home?"
"Sure! Let's fly there!"
We both began hovering above the air, him obviously a lot smoother and with more control, although I could fly relatively easily I wasn't necessarily 'amazing' at it.
We flew up till we could see the top of all the mountains.
3rd POV
The spiky haired man-child smiled with glee as he stared at artic. With no little enthusiasm he asked,
"Hey! Why don't we race there! My home is straight east from here!"
"Sure! Why not!"
With matching enthusiasm his fellow saiyan agreed.
They both flew at light speed in the east direction in a matter of precisely 530 microseconds they traveled 100 miles and reached their destination.
Both warriors slowed to a still as the house appeared in their sights, goku managing to get there faster than artic.
"Hah! You snooze, you lose!"
The exuberant saiyan shouted out.
Just as goku relished his victory, a woman with great worry and tension throughout her body came out from the sphere shaped house.
"Goku! Where did you fly off to! And who's this young man next to you!"
The woman exclaimed with righteous anger, as she looked toward artic with some confusion, which soon turned into wariness as she looked upon him and noticed his tail and strange outfit.

Goku, deciding to explain himself to chi-chi responded in turn.
He began with a sheepish grin while ending the conversation with some seriousness to get his point across.
"Relax chi-chi, I was only gonna for a little bit, And this is my new friend! His name is artic! He's also saiyan like me and vegeta! Don't worry though he isn't evil."
"Another saiyan, hmmm I'm surprised you're not trying to disintegrate us like vegeta and the others who came here a while ago"
Although the woman seemed to let go with most of her misgivings she still stared at our resident main character with some distrust.
" Although our race is naturally violent and mostly bloodthirsty, there are always outliers like me, I mean isn't your husband one of them?"
"Well you do have a point there, but goku is only like that since he bumped his head when he was little, but it wouldn't be to much of a stretch of another saiyan with good intentions, if someone like vegeta could turn a leaf I'm sure almost anyone can."
Artic's POV
Hmmmm, seems like I'm in the clear for now, I'm glad the people here aren't the smartest of blokes , I might have to watch out for bulma, she's a genius who has some common sense so I should try thinking of filling any holes in my story or just outright avoid mentioning to much.
I moved my gaze towards, using my eyes to 'ask' his wife if I could stay with them. And surprisingly he managed to take the hint and he popped the question after looking at me with some minor confusion then blinking and smiling in realisation.
"Oh yeah, Chi-chi ,would you mind if we let artic stay over for a while."
I decided to chime in by saying.
"If you do let me stay, I can help with manual labour, chores and other tasks you may require help with, I also enjoy cooking so if you need an assistant to help you, I could be of service."
She seeing my sincerity or at least I hope she did, smiled slightly and began opening her mouth to answer.
"Sure! You seem to be willing to help earn your keep, you can goku hunt and help clean around the house, and I'd love some help in the kitchen."
Thank god I have super speed or else doing chores would be immensely annoying, at least this way I won't feel bad for mooching them, I refuse to be a parasite who does nothing in return for goodwill.
I decided that I should probably formally introduce myself.
"Thank you so much for letting me stay over, I'd like to formally introduce myself, as goku told you before my name is artic, I'm 15 years old and my star sign is cancer, I like to draw and watch anim- *ahem*."
I coughed obnoxiously to cover my slip up.
"Sorry, my throat is a bit dry, I haven't spoken for a few years until today."
Luther both seemed to ignore my slip up and carried on like nothing happened.
Chi-chi smiled and said,
"It's nice to meet you artic,we've got an empty guest room in the house for you to stay in, Oh and before I forget to mention we also have a son! He's around 6 years old, I'm sure you'll get along!"
Man,Gohan is around 6? So I should be around when trunks had his first appearance. Sometimes I forget how crazy this universe is, if Gohan is only 6 now that means in 3 years when he fights Cell he's only 9!?
Gohan truly is just built diff.

"Again, thank you for having me" I then bowed slightly.
Chi-chi and goku then led me inside the house and towards my new room, while walking I can't help but think to myself ,

That this day has been crazy, in the matter of mere hours I have been in order; isekaied, became a saiyan, learnt how to manipulate ki, learnt how to fly, learnt the classic dragon ball powering up/shitting pose , performed a friggin kamehameha and most importantly I just met goku. I honestly should be completely freaking out, I don't know how I've been holding up with my zero levels of confidence or social skills, I guess being a saiyan has naturally made me more extroverted.
After my internal monologue we reached my soon to be bedroom.
"This is your new room kid, Now that's done with let me go grab my son! You'll love him! Although he's still a bit shy, I'm almost 100 percent sure you'll get along!"
Welp I guess it's time to see the boy wonder. After seeing goku rush outside my new room and into another room I decided to follow after him to go see everyone's favourite hybrid.
As I walked into the room that was made for bibliophiles. As soon as I entered a massive bookcase filled to the brim, I entered my sights.
It truly was a bookworm's wet dream.
Next to the bookcase was a study desk ornamented with more books and a lamp, with our resident half monk- *ahem* half -breed saiyan sat on his chair.

"Hey gohan!"
" What's up dad?"
Gohan seemed to stop looking in his book and presumably studying, to face his father.
" We've got a guest! Why don't ya say hi!"
Gohan seemed to finally notice me and froze up slightly with a slightly uncomfortable expression Across his face. After a few seconds he seemingly worked up some courage to greet me.
"Um uh hi! My names gohan! I like to read and study! What's your name?"
Huh, kid Gohan is pretty cute, he seems to be much more confident compared to how he was when raditz first arrived.
"Hey! My names Arctic. I like to draw and getting stronger!"
After that a somewhat short but awkward silence stretched out.I decided to break the tension with a few questions.
"So kid, you got any dreams for your future?"
His face seemingly lit up slightly and with excitement told me.
" I want to be a scholar!"
"Oh really what kinda area you wanna specialise in?"
" everything!"
"Everything?"

I'm going to ignore whatever the fuck that was and carry on like nothing happened.

Fuck, I just got outsmarted then a six year old, my dignity is in shambles.
"Touché kid, touché "
As I was speaking another voice sounded out,
"Gohan! It's time for bed!"
Wow time flies by I didn't even notice but after looking out the window I can see that it's already nightfall. Goku decided to interrupt my thought by telling us,
"Well kids I guess it's time to hit the hay!"
Speaking of sleep, I'm quite mentally drained. I should get some sleep to sort out my thoughts and rest a bit.
"Well, I guess I should head to my room and hit the sheets, goodnight guys! And nice chat Gohan i'll see you both in the morning."
