Chapter 2: The day everything changed

just another average day. going to school, then thinking about other ways to earn money other than my part time job in order to pay for rent, when all of a sudden, I bump right into someone. "Oww!", I said, collecting up the books that have fallen from his hand. I look straight up and see Alex, one of the most popular guys in this school. "great" I think to myself. "now I have even more problems on my hands" it must have been written all over my face because I notice him staring at me. I shove the books quickly back in his hands and turn around to leave when all of a sudden he grabs my hand. "Wait!" he says. I turn around and glare at him in an attempt to intimidate him. it must have worked because he scratches the back of his head and asks, "What's your name?" I let out a sigh and say "Rebecca. Can you let me go now? im gonna be late to class." as if to prove my point, the bell rings. He lets me go and says "Aight. see you around, Rebecca." I mentally stab him with a fork because I can't stand him, but I need to get good grades so I wave bye and run to class.
