Chapter 4: I am Sergio Ramos
'I am Sergio Ramos and you don't want me to pay against you. If you don't like how we play, turn off the T.V.'
I am that Satan from the Whites who takes away victories mercilessly. Even at the last minute.
They call me a 'monster of a historic scale.'
I call myself a 'Bullfighter.'

"Mom, I wan to be a bullfighter."
Being from Seville, everyone around me, in those times, were absolutely crazy about bullfighting. I used to get enchanted by the collisions, the power, delight, anger and everything that it used to present to me.
Even today, my skin is littered with memories of my homeland Seville.
"Rene, we will get your brother a private trainer for teaching him football. Enough of this craziness for this dangerous game."
My parents used to consider bullfighting, a game for which I was developing a strong passion, very dangerous and wanted to dissuade me from playing it. Football was very sudden. My brother, Rene, the closet person to me in this whole world, comes to me one day with football in his hand to make me try.
"Mom, Sergio is 'man of the match' again!"
FC Camas, my first club, was the place where this strange hidden talent of mine was discovered. It was fun to give these 'man of the match' interviews every now and then.
"Madrid. That's your next stop."
Sevilla came for me when I started showing potential. But I wanted to play at the very best. Luckily for me, Madrid came calling. That day was the happiest day of my mother's life because she is the biggest Real Madrid fan I have ever known.
"Ramos has won everything. Two Euros and a World Cup."
It was un-explainable to define how I felt when I lifted that trophy in South Africa which every players dreams to lift. I had won everything in my career, expect for the cup with the white shine - the Champions League.
"And Ramos scores! It's an equalizer!"
Perhaps the moment which stated defining what we mean to world. Our 6 kilometers far rivals met us at the grandest stage of them all - the Champions League. We had almost lost the game. But we did not lost the will. I am a bullfighter from my core. Even last millisecond counts. That was the goal of my career.
"Mr. Madrid - Sergio Ramos. He symbolizes the values of Real Madrid."
I have patriotism for my being, my family, my club, my country and everything I represent to an infinite extent. My ego is very important to me but it's nothing in front of my love for the game I have played throughout my life. People won't understand it. I know they won't. That's why it is useless to explain and just concentrate on what you do.
"El Capitano. Sergio Ramos. He becomes the first captain to lift the Champions League trophy for the total of three times!"
I might be a cheat.
I might be using dark arts.
I might be devious.
I might be a player with combative and tactical dirtiness.
But that does't stop me to be the best wild-card you can ever imagine.
I am the guy you look for to take risks when everything is on the line.
Yes.
I am Sergio Ramos.
I am a villain ever MORE.
I DON'T believe in morals.
I just believe in my family and myself.
Like a bullfighter who never touches the ground.
