Chapter 9: Tremendous growth
"Ah... I'm hella tired..." Temorsth quickly hopped onto the bed and laid down.
He started to process everything that has happened today.
As a half-elf half-vampire, he didn't need to sleep, but he does need to rest or he wouldn't be able to process and store what he had learned and heard.
"Oh, right I shouldn't forget it... Uh?" Just as he got off the bed the room, no, the whole house shook.
"Dad... I know that there is soundproof magic on the walls but still... please don't go that far that the house gets destroyed..."
"Hmh..." *Haha...* With a small laugh, a smile appeared.
'I love this house... The mere thought that I live in a giant house inside the trunk of a tree with Space magic is cool to me, and to top it off the giant tree is under a barrier the size of a football stadium.'
"Hm, this makes me wonder... why is the barrier so big? Except for us, the few livestock behind the house, and the animals in the forest, there is no living being here... so why?" As he spoke to himself he went and took the flask from the wooden table.
And as he went back to his bed, he tried to take out the cork of the flask.
"Hm? It didn't even crack when I squeezed it but strangely it opened quite easily."
'It looks like normal clear spring water...' Looking into the flask he wondered a little, but a second later he tilted his head back and simply poured the whole of it down his throat.
"Hmh..." Lying on his back in the bed, he anticipated some feeling of power or change but as a few seconds passed... 'Nothing happens... Was it just simple water?'
As he tried to sit up "Oh... ahgh... I'm burning..." he fell back.
'Ugh this is strange...' he felt time speeding up and slowing down at the same time.
'I'm falling...' As Temorsth's mind and body began to sink, he was already somewhere else, in a dark place...
'I can't see...?' He opened his eyes and there was only darkness.
'Oh...!' But then the place glowed up.
The surrounding looked like outer space, there were small lights from stars that lit up the darkness of the void, and there were even some planets in the far-far distance.
As the different colors of the galaxy moved and glowed around him...
"Why am I here?"
"Why are we...?"
"We..."
"We..." Voices started to speak one after the other.
?: "What happened!? I wasn't paying attention for a while and we were instantly brought here to the Inner World!" The voice of the fierce and violent one was heard.
"Hm!? Ain't it the liar, who would have thought that you appear too!?"
Persona: "Shut up Feral!" 'Temorsth' turned to the voice of the violent, he saw 'himself' walking out to the light from the shadows that surround him.
It was his childlike body just with more muscles and some scars, Feral was even wearing the same clothes, but it was more worn out and his eyes were defiant and fierce as he looked at Persona.
Feral: "Oh what is it liar-Persona, doesn't like it when told the truth!?"
Persona: "I didn't lie with words, it was true that we missed them, so shut up!"
Feral: "Oh, that might be true, but no one asked to lie with emotions!"
Persona: "It is needed to an extent, we can't let them hate us it could become dangerous, and I hate lying too!"
?: *AHAHAHA* "The two just meet and they already started it..." *AHAHAHA* Hearing their argument a voice full of joy laughed out from the shadows.
?: "Ah... please calm down, everything went well in the end, don't argue about it." A voice with concern in it pleaded.
?: "They are always like that..."
"Yes, they are..." Many other voices just spoke to others and themselves in low voices.
?: "Oh no, Order!" At this moment a girlish voice called out from the shadows.
Running could be heard but the sound was light like the one running had little to no weight.
"Sorry, wait for a little." As the voice got out from the shadows its body became reviled.
It was not a he, but rather she, a slender body with slightly longer, around shoulder-length, black hair tied in a ponytail.
She was wearing different clothes, slim-fitting jeans, and a long red plaid shirt, she even looked older than the rest of them. She looked around 10 with the others looking around 7.
She was running to someone who was at the edge of the light. The boy looked the same as the others but he was lying on the ground looking like he has fallen.
As she got before Order, she saw the only difference in him from the others.
Every part of his body, which was not covered by clothes, had a different colored spot, some purplish red others green or yellow.
"It will hurt a little, but bear with me for a bit..." Seeing the shaking of the boy's limbs. The girl kneeled and helped him up. As Order stood up an armchair appeared behind him, and with a little move, he fell into it.
Order: "Than-thanks... Ti-Tiana..." His voice was ragged, it sounded like he was in constant pain.
Tiana: "It's nothing, and don't force speaking, just speak with your mind."
Order: "Umu..."
?: "I too want to thank you..."
Tiana: "Uh?"
Order: "...?"
?: "For taking care of all of us." Someone came out from behind the chair that just appeared, he lightly touched Order's shoulder and moved in front of them.
Tiana: "Ah, it's nothing. I was just doing my job." She bowed her head.
Order: *Ugh* He too tried to bow, but the pain stopped him.
?: "Don't force it." And just as he soothed Order down, the unknown boy started walking out, into the middle of the platform they all stood on.
?: "It has been such a long time since all of us came together, why must you two fight?" The voice sounded the most natural out of all of them, there was no pretense nor any lie in it.
"...!?" And hearing the voice, some stopped talking while others called out.
"The Original!?" Revealing the being of the unknown boy.
Persona: "Ah? Wait! If everyone is here, who is in control?" But the two weren't concerned by the arrival of another of them, no they too showed respect but weren't doing anything exaggerated like bowing.
Original: "No one."
Persona: "No! It's dangerous, I have to go out!"
Original: "It's ok, the body is just sleeping."
Persona: "But..." He stopped, knowing that whatever he said wouldn't work.
Feral: "Wait, everyone is here?" Even he lowered his voice before The Orginal.
Original: "Yes."
Feral: "Then... this means..." Realizing the situation, Feral turned around to look deep into the darkness around them.
*clank...*clang...* And almost like an answer, the sound of chains clanking appeared, and all I mean all, the voices stopped talking.
"...!" With this an eerie silence settled down onto this Inner World of there's.
Feral: "Monster?" The first to break the silence was Feral. There was no fear in his voice, but it was heavier and much more serious compared to before.
*clank...*BANG*BANG*clang...*
"Uh!" Hearing the sound of loud banging on something like a door, some jolted and took a step back.
*clank...*BANG*BANG*clang...*
Original: "Why are you scaring them, Monster? Don't do it, it's not appropriate. We have a more pressing matter at hand than you playing."
"..." First silence came.
Monster: "Such a long time has passed..." The voice was surprisingly alike to the Original, the only difference being it had a deeper and more eerie tone to it.
"Since I have seen 'all of us'." The voice came from the darkest part of the shadow where no other voice was heard.
Original: "Oh, it seems it's already starting..." Yet The Original seemed like he hasn't even heard his voice, as the background of Temrosth Mental World, the stars, the planets, the lights, everything started going in reverse, it looked like time was flowing backward with incredible speed.
?: "What is happening!?"
Original: "It looks like that thing we consumed was more powerful than we expected it. That Immortal Emperor should be even more powerful to protect something like this."
While they conversed, they saw the big bang of the universe, and how the stars, the planets, and the different worlds formed one after the other.
Original: "It said that it strengthens the mind and soul, but I think no one, not even that Immortal Emperor would have tough of something like this happening." As the creation ended the scenery changed.
They were in the sea sinking to the depths of it, they felt the pressure on their body, then as they couldn't stand it anymore they were already flying into the sky.
As they flew they started to fall then they ascended out of the atmosphere then fell to the ground, the mind and soul experienced different things one after the other. After a period of near-death experiences, they rose from the surface, and painful things followed...
Feral: "Burning in the fire of a star, isn't this too much?"
Original: "Don't worry, we are getting stronger in every way imaginable. We are undergoing tremendous growth in a short amount of time."
...
At the same time, in a different but similarly dark place.
"Hm..." An old man whose face was not visible in the darkness was sitting on a king-like throne, he was casually drinking something red from a wine glass.
"The taste is... mediocre." As the old man spoke to himself, a young man appeared below the stairs leading to the throne.
"Hmh..." His appearance triggered something and a light blue crystal started glowing on the wall.
The young man kneeled to one knee and looked up at the old man, his blood-red eyes glowed up as he started his report.
"It was as the Patriarch expected. They came back at almost the same time, and we learned from our informants that they were both seen in The Shadowy Highlands... it was seen by many that they fought each other, but neither of them received a too severe injury at the end."
"So... blatant." The old man's voice was so deep that the young man experienced extreme chills.
"Yes, the Patriarch is right, they have fought each other so many times, and every time neither of them suffered too serious injuries, if two beings in the World Source Realm were to fight it would not end with that."
The old man opened his eyes and looked at his servant, his eyes too were glowing red.
'AH...!' And these eyes made the young man shiver even more.
"Respect is a virtue...!" The young man was on one knee with his head bowed, but when he heard the old man's voice, he hit his head on the floor breaking it.
"Ah..." Blood poured from his head onto the broken floor.
"I beg for forgiveness! I was ignorant of my folly!" He was already tearing up, he was afraid of death, but instead of an attack, he heard the voice again.
"For one's self too...!"
"...!" Hearing this, the young man prepared for his death, he knew very well that this old man was a patriot, who would not accept any disobedience and dishonor to the race.
'I was too frightened just now and spoke nonsense.' He could only lament his foolish mind.
"Go... inform the other three. Hmh... and go talk to that old one's servant, ask for a meeting!" He felt his soul return to him, relieved he quickly raised.
"As the Patriarch orders!" He disappeared into the shadows.
"..." A few seconds after the young man disappeared, the light blue light slowly died out.
"..." As the light went away, the red and black marble floor began to drain the spilled blood.
"What are you thinking, young Lear? What are you doing with that Olendriant girl?" The man spoke to himself as he looked at the floor restore itself.
"Such a simplicity... But as long as I have the benefits, you can do whatever you want..." *Ha ha* A slightly mocking voice could be heard with the chuckle.
"You became the King too early, let these old bones help you!" With the words, he closed his glowing red eyes, and the room fell into complete darkness.

SeayYes I thought about it and it's pretty hard to understand when the other personalities-alters speak while switching, so from now on I'll place their name before their speech. Note that I'll only place their name when we learn about their respective names until then if we switch speakers I'll pace a question mark '?'. Thank you for reading.
Sorry again for the late chapters I was busy these two days so I forget that I hadn't finished the chapters yet so I had to write them at night.
