It's been a week since I last rescued Ryouko san and since I've killed a ghoul investigator and injured 3 others will at it I was expecting the number of ghoul investigators to increase a lot in this ward but to my surprise, it didn't happen.
I decided to check the news about this incident on the net and indeed there was an article about the escape of a Mother-child ghoul with the help of another unidentified ghoul, which led to the death of one investigator and injuring of 3 other investigators.
"Well, since the news is visible then why haven't been taken to improve the security of the ward." I wondered for a while..
I thought of something and searched for the latest news regarding the 11th ward in the online portal and there I saw it.
'The number of people getting killed ghouls in the 11th wards has increased significantly, more investigators have been sent to the ward to look into the matter, residents are advised to temporarily take shelter in different wards till the matter is solved.'
The ghouls of the Aogiri tree have started their plan to take over the 11th ward and since restrictions have not been placed yet then it means that the investigators still don't know about the ghouls forming an organization to take down CCG.
"Hmmmm..."
During this week I barely was able to hunt properly, it's not just the increased dove activity I suppose, it might also be linked to me killing them so frequently...welp, I thought ghouls were the kind who had more guts...sigh.
Can't be helped then, in order to increase my powers I'll have to devour a large number of ghouls one way or another and since it's not possible to do that properly here then 11th ward it is.
"Nanami, I'll be out for a month or more I guess, if anything suspicious happens then go into hiding somewhere first then use that cellphone which I bought you to contact me."
"I will. Kaneki san." Nanami said, she became a lot more open while conversing with me nowadays.
I packed my bag with the necessary items then called Hide telling him about me going out for a month or 2 due to similar reasons as the one I did earlier. We had a few casual conversations later then it ended up with both of us telling each other to take care.
I used nighttime to my advantage and finally reached the 11th ward after an hour and a half of moving. Well, it was quite desolate...as expected. Good for me, I took some time and finally found a good house whose owner seems to have shifted to some other ward due to the dangerous situation here.
After arranging my belongings, I started getting ready cause it was time for me to hunt..I will finally be able to test my Kagune openly so I was kind of excited.
I went out and entered deeper into the ward and as expected there was a lot more ghoul activity here as compared to the 20th ward. There were still many humans living here, guess that can't be helped cause the only today the news telling the residents to move from this place came. It should take a week at least for all of them to vacate.
Soon I picked my targets, they were three ghouls, since they were not wearing masks I suppose they are not involved with Aogiri anyway sucks for them that they met me. Without wasting much time I made my Kagune into a double blade and sent it spinning towards them and before they all knew they were all lying flat on the ground dead.
I closed in on them and devoured them their Kakuhou. I continued that for the night and managed to devour 8 ghouls that night alone. Satisfied I went back to my hideout and had a good sleep.
I continued this routine for 4-5 days without anything eventful happening, whenever I got bored of eating the Kakuhou again and again I used to eat some normal human snacks left in some houses due to people leaving their homes in a hurry. It was pretty monotonous but well it was something I had to do to get stronger.
