Chapter 2: Stumbling in
After my Meeting with god, I was in front of him one moment, and in an Alleyway the next. The smell of Trash and Pollution filling my nostrils. Looking around I see a broken Mirror and my appearance. I was an American, with black, messy hair and blue eyes. My nose made a right triangular shape along my smooth white skin. My outfit was a Black Hoodie, with ヒーロー on it. which I knew were the words for 'Hero' due to the fact my fellow weebs pressured me into learning Japanese for some damn reason. Not like we were ever going to Japan, but they had a strange obsession with it, I swear that Neckbeard ass was weird. to complete my Attire, I had grey pants with white shoes on. aye! they're Jordans! Cool, I was always too broke to get some good shoes, ha! Take that Kyle! that's what you get for mocking my Poor shoe choice!
I put my hands in my pockets and felt two objects. taking them out I pulled out a Smart Phone, that had a black case with red lines running rampant along it, Similar to how a Kakugan is. the other object was a White Leather Wallet. Inside, held my ID, which was luckily still David White. among that, I also have 50,000 Yen. which at the time it should be equal to $456.83. That's good, At least I have some money to start with. Though, It will not be enough to Live off of. I will need to find a source of Income and fast.
Sighing to myself, I walk out of the alley and onto the street. It was mostly silent, and rather empty strangely. But that all changed, when the fanboy's attacked. One second im just standing there, the next, Im getting carried along with a Tsunami of people. I can't even struggle as Im practically carried to them, and forced into a building along with them.
Once the crowd settles down, I notice I am in a book store, with posters highlighting one person. Sen Takatsuki. Sen Takatsuki, Otherwise known as Eto Yoshimura, one of the most dangerous early Tokyo Ghoul characters. She was one of my favorite Tokyo Ghoul females, not only because she was hot in my opinion, but because even though she had been through so much, she still tried to do the right thing, even if it was disguised as her being a villain, I would say she is a primary reason Kaneki was able to succeed. Without her, he wouldn't have survived Dragon.
When I saw Eto at the desk, I knew I needed to get close to her, Yeah, It's probably dumb to talk to the leader of an organization that could fucking kill you at any second, but that's what you think. Even though I have ZERO fighting skills, with my powers alone im quite formidable, so that means I could probably at least take down those low-level grunts, right?
Stepping over to the Cashier, I buy 'Dear Kafka', Eto's first book, and step into line. the line goes rather slow, as everyone stops to say something to the Author as she talked with her fans in honest adoration. Honestly, She is a good person, even if she does have a psychotic tendency.
The line continues, and after around thirty minutes, Only I, Eto and her editor were in the book store, as the Cashier had stepped out for a smoke. I put the book down on the table and looked down at her as she sat, uncapping her pen. "Who do I make this out to, Mr..." I stood silent for a moment, before answering. "David, David White," I said, almost monotonously. I guess meeting someone who I had read on sheets of paper just the other day would do that to someone. "Well, Thank you for coming David, If I may ask, why did you come here, I don't usually get Americans to come here?" she said, as she cupped her hands.
Rubbing the back of my head, I look at her, and reply. "Honestly, I just got carried in my the crowd, but then I saw you. And I knew you were just like me... Your a one-eyed, arent you?" I asked, already knowing the answer. Eto looked Surprised, as did her editor Shunji. "How did you know? I'm undetectable to almost all other ghouls. How do you suddenly know who I am?" She asked, Feeling like I came here to start, I could tell she was getting ready for a Fight.
"oh don't worry, Im not here to start anything, It's just that there aren't many one-eyed ghouls out there. I mean, he isn't on the stage right now." I said, almost metaphorically, hinting at Kaneki. of course Eto would not know I was hinting to him. "Ok... then why did you come here, to gawk at me?"
she joked, trying to ease the situation out of extreme awkwardness. "No, Im just saying that people like us need to look out for each other, so if you find anyone else who is like us, or need help, call me!" I say as I put a sticky note with my new phone number on it on the table. grabbing my book I start to walk towards the exit. "It was nice meeting you, Sen Takatsuki." I say, as I exit the book store and round the exit. well, that was a nice first meeting. I guess.
