Chapter 160: Diabetics epidemic
Nick saw in slow motion how his wife lost her consciousness. He was fast enough to catch her before her body slammed to the floor.
"Honey, Honey ! Alice, are you ok ?" Nick tried to wake her up.
"Let me see" Alan checked her pulse
"Take her to hospital !" Alan exclaimed.
"I drive you"
"Take my car any one" Nick toasted his key and carried his wife.
"Just call ambulance" Alan shouted but those had been no where to be seen.
Sean rushed to the hospital, they arrived at the emergency department. Only Nick was allowed to come, so Sean waited outside. A nurse came to check Alice blood pressure and heartbeat, then a doctor came as well. He was not a young one and seemed very experience, he asked the nurse to take Alice blood sample.
"When did the last time your wife have her periode ?" The doctor asked cheekily.
Nick froze, he had been doing that thing every night since they were back except the day when Michelle was in hospital.
"Is she pregnant? " He asked bluntly.
"While we are waiting for the quick blood test result, lets do ultrasound" the doctor smiled. A nurse came with ultrasound device then lift Alice blouse up. The doctor put gel on alice tummy to begin the ultrasound process.
"It's the fetus, it has hearrbeat already. It looks like 8 weeks" He smiled.
"Wow, Congratulations bro" Alan suddently hugged Nick. He used his connection to get in to the emergency room.
"I checked the blood test result, it's positive around 8 weeks" Alan added.
" this ?"
" Hi senior, he is my bother. He will be second grandkid in my family" Alan grinned.
"Congratulation. Please go to you GP as soon as possible to do complete pregnancy make up. Please don't let her to exhausted like that, also refrain your self for the next 4 weeks until she is stable. She can go home after the IV finished" The doctor smiled.
"Thank you" Nick was so rejoice.
"Bro, you are better to tell our parents. They are vey anxious outside. Let Nurse look after sister in law for while" Alan dragged Nick away.
"How is she ? what happen to her ? is she ok ?" Mrs Feng fired questions as soon as she saw his sons.
"She is ok. She is just pregnant. She can go home afterthe IV finished" Nick was over the moon.
"what ? really ?" Mr and Mrs Feng was joyfull.
"Congrats Bro" Sean laughed and punched Nick shoulder playfully
Lana and Cacha shrieked and hugged each other. "another baby. Hugh, you are going to have a brother soon" Cacha pinched Hugh cubby cheek.
"Go ! accompany her. We all go home now and prepare small party" Mrs Feng shooed every one to go.
"Here your car key" Lana gave Nick key back.
Nick was back to Alice side. Alice slowly open her eyes, she vaguely remember she heard Nick voice calling her name.
"where am I ?" She asked as she didn't familiar with her surounding.
"Honey, you are awake. It's in hospital" He said.
"What happen to me ?"
"Well, you have illness. There is a lump in your uterus" Nick said with sad expression.
"Is it dangerous ? what should we do ?" Alice panicked.
"We can't do anything. We just need to wait for another 7 months befor the lump is gone. But it will be getting bigger while we are waiting for the right time" Nick sniggered when he saw alice confused reaction.
"I am going to be father and you'll be a mum soon" Nick hugged his wife.
"really ?!" rubbed her lower abdomen with disbelieve.
"But why did you give me that ugly face ?" alice pouted.
Nick moved closer and spoke in low voice "Because I need to hold my self when we enjoy our night".
Alice blushed and pinched her husband arm.
"Please take your folid acid and don't make your body exhausted" The doctor reminded Alice before they went home.
On their way back home, she got a phone call from Sasha " Eldest brother, eldest sister congratulation ! Ah.. I can not wait to see you guys. it's Hans"
"Hey, guys congratulation ! Bro, you are not good at all, it took you nearly a year to impregnant her" Hans teased Nick.
"It's because I don't put much effort before. I am driving, call back in 15 minutes if you want to continue " Nick replied.
Alice was stunned when she arrived home.
Every one cheered for her and the new life on her belly. Their dinning table full of delicious food. Mrs feng managed to cook two dishes then the rest were bought. Lana and Cacha bought some cake as well.
"don't you feel nausea at all ?" Mrs Feng asked. Alice shook her head "No. I just love to eat salty and spicy food. also.."
"Also what ?" Lana asked.
Alice had mature, she didn't tell anyone that her libido were up lately "I like your body more" she wishpered to Nick.
"I'll do anything and everything as long as you are happy. for you and our kid, nothing I won't do" Nick hugged his wife and kissed her lips.
"I think our family will spread Diabetics epidemic soon" Lana shook her head.
Nick and Alice were too sweet, Alan and Michelle were very harmonious. They would eat more dog food as Jasmine was serving their second brother food affectionately. They knew it just a matter to time that those two would be together.
"Well, it is because our parent are the sugar farmer" Sean gave all credit to most loving couple in his eyes.
