Chapter 15: Auction House (4)
Ronald knew that if he didn't do anything to change Li Wanruo's impression of him right now, the plot will come crashing and burning down, so he thought for a brief second before he realized that maybe the plot was actually still on the right track.
Maybe Li Wanruo just thought that she was in the wrong, Iris didn't actually explain the full story to her after all.
Ronald felt extremely stupid now, he was just so blinded by the fact that the plot seemed to have deviated from the original plot that he didn't even consider looking at Li Wanruo's perspective.
Ronald apologized to Li Wanruo in his heart for being such an idiot and got prepared to start offending her again.
"Haha, it's good to know whenever you should start backing down. I accept your apology Miss Wanruo, however since you don't know how to manage your maid properly, how about you repay me back by handing over the maid that splashed water on me so I can take her home and severely punish her, that should be acceptable, right?" Ronald pretended to look at Iris with a lustful face.
Ronald has to admit, he fits the role as a typical rich second generation villain perfectly.
Maybe this was even the real reason why the system had decided to choose him to play this villainous role.
At this point everyone wasn't even surprised by the way Ronald acted anymore, everyone's impression of him was at the lowest point now.
Some people even looked at him with interest, but why?
It was because they were impressed by his blindness and lack of awareness to the overall situation.
There is nobody else in the world that could even compare to Ronald's lack of awareness, even a newborn baby would be more aware about whenever it was in the wrong.
After Li Wanruo had heard what Ronald said, she frowned.
Ronald noticed her expression and couldn't help but start laughing inwardly.
After getting beaten up by Li Wanruo and pretending to be in extreme pain, he can finally head back home and spend the rest of the time he would've spent on the plot otherwise celebrating his first ever successful plot completion in his second life.
Of course, Ronald hadn't forgot that he had originally visited the auction house to buy the 'The Scorching Phoenix' for Luna in order for him to get face slapped by her the next time he encounters her, but he decided that he'll just hire someone to create a fake replica of it and give it to her, making her hate him even more.
"Young Master Kuangge, it's impossible for me to give this maid to you." Li Wanruo said in a tone that sounded absolutely certain.
It wasn't that Li Wanruo didn't want to compensate Ronald.
Actually if Ronald had asked her to give him everything in the auction house including her body, she was more than definitely willing to do so.
It was just that she knew that she couldn't allow Iris to lurk around Ronald just like she did in her previous life and let him be harmed by her again.
Hearing Li Wanruo's counterstatement, everyone including Ronald nodded in their hearts.
This is how the eldest lady of the Wanruo family should be acting.
Even if Li Wanruo knew she was in the wrong, she would never step down to someone else's level in order to appease them.
'Li Wanruo, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you so much for being the first normal heroine I've actually encountered.'
"What did you say? Say that again." Ronald stood up and headed downstairs to the first floor of the auction house and hopped on stage to where Li Wanruo was standing and spoke arrogantly.
Although everyone shouldn't be surprised at this point, they still were and couldn't help but think to themselves how much IQ Ronald actually has.
Did Ronald really just walk up and confronted the person that he stood absolutely no chance against?
He is literally begging to be killed at this point.
However, just before everyone thought that Ronald's head was about to seperate from his body, Li Wanruo's next remarks made everyone completely stunned.
"I can't compensate this maid to you, because her quality is too inferior for someone like you. How about I give you three different more behaved and trained ones?" Li Wanruo wanted to send out three of her best and most loyal combatants maids to Ronald in order to temporarily ensure his safety while she becomes stronger.
Everyone at this time was utterly shocked and started questioning their existence.
Ronald throughout the duration he has been at the auction house has not only caused a ton of trouble in the auction house, but had also mocked and provoked the eldest lady of the Wanruo family, but not only did she ended up bowing her head down to someone completely insignifcant to her, but also went as far as to compensate him with an extra two maids?
Everyone started to re-evaluate the power and influence the Kuangge family actually had.
Ronald on the other hand was extremely horrified after hearing Li Wanruo's last statement.
Just when he had finally thought that Li Wanruo acted like a normal heroine for once, she came out with even a bigger slap to his face.
'I had just thanked you for being a normal heroine for once, and now you're doing this to me again? GIVE ME BACK MY THANK YOU!' Ronald didn't even know what to do at this point.
He didn't know if he should just continue on with the plot or just walk straight out of the auction house now and ask the system what was actually going on.
There was no way in hell that the system doesn't actually know what's going on, right?
While Ronald was completely frozen on the side thinking about how he should approch the plot next, he didn't notice Iris and Li Wanruo both glaring at each other with heavy killing intent.
They both knew how dangerous they were against one another and wanted to make sure that such a person would not stay on Ronald's side.
Ye Fan, who was still sitting in the VIP booth and had been speechless throughout the entire duration of his stay in the auction house, also noticed the killing intent that was emitting from both of their eyes and was extremely jealous.
Those womens were suppose to be fighting over him, not Ronald!
And what the hell was Iris doing?
Wasn't she suppose to help him become the center of attraction?
Why has Ronald become the center of attraction instead?
Ye Fan felt so heartbroken and couldn't help but subconsciously emit killing intent towards Ronald's way.
He swore to himself once again that he will definitely take revenge on the entirety of the Kuangge family the moment he has the ability to do so.
Ronald, who had felt Ye Fan's killing intent from above couldn't help but complained in his heart.
'What the hell are you getting mad at me for?'
'If there's someone you want to blame, blame it on the fucking heroines for not sticking to their original personality, not me.'
'And fuck you too, Ye Fan, for being too big of a pussy and not doing a- hey wait a second, that could actually work.' While Ronald was in the midst of complaining and ranting on about how Ye Fan was completely useless in this plot, an idea just popped in his head in which he was certain would be able to put the plot back on the right track.
