Chapter 31: World 2.8
"I feel so bored"
Wei Shin shrugged his shoulders down, he had been bedridden for a week. Why? It's because Zi Yuzuo ordered his servants to take care of his slave very carefully. No one dares to oppose him since he was having that cold sharp gaze in his eyes while telling them to take care of him.
The room was very quiet although the ambience was relaxing, it was still bothersome for Wei Shin. Zi Yuzuo isn't getting enough yin energy from him these past few days, it was quite worrying him.
"Should I check him?" he asked himself "I haven't seen him in a week though" he mumbled.
When Wei Shin turned his head, the door creaked open. Spitting the Second Prince of the Carnatia Empire, Xiao Zhen. He was carrying a banquet of lush bloom flowers like peonies, Chrysanthemum and roses. His jade green eyes were full of worries the moment he approached the bed.
"Wei Shin!!!!"
Wei Shin was stunned when Xiao Zhen embraced him tightly in his arms, he couldn't believe that he would do it to a mere slave like him "How are you?" he asked the moment they let go
"I-I'm fine, your majesty" Wei Shin uttered
"I'm so worried about you!" Xiao Zhen exclaimed "I wanted to apologize...I didn't even thought of what might happ---"
"No, your majesty!" Wei Shin exclaimed after seeing the Prince's pitiful eyes "You're not wronged..it was completely my fault, your grace" he said
Xiao Zhen's eyes filled with tears "B-But…" he paused "I could have saved you immediately, but instead I was shocked and I was afraid.." he started to become hysterical by grabbing his own hair.
It delivered some guilt to Wei Shin's senses so he tried to stopped the Prince "Your majesty, please don't blame yourself..I am fine.." he said in a very calm tone of voice
Xiao Zhen calmed down a bit but there was still a bit of sadness flustered on his face. His face was very expressive so Wei Shin can easily read him. And from observing his actions, he thinks that it was the red lilies fault to let him hallucinate some things.
"Did you calm down now, your grace?" he asked worriedly
Xiao Zhen lowered his head "I-I'm scared" he mumbled
"Would you mind telling me the reason, if it's okay for you,your highness"
Xiao Zhen quickly jolted and grabbed Wei Shin's hand again "Prince Yuzuo!" he exclaimed "I've been explaining to him what happened but he kept on ignoring me" tears slowly formed beside his eyes "D-Did he hate me t-that much?" his voice cracked
Wei Shin was a little bit shocked, he didn't know that Zi Yuzuo would take such measures because of his health. Did he really give Xiao Zhen? A prince? A cold shoulder?. Things are still a bit complicated for him right now and he still hasn't seen Zi Yuzuo after that encounter.
"Your highness, please don't say that" Wei Shin comforted the male who was now going to cry in front of him "I know I'm not in the right place to say this but...As the Prince's slave" he paused "I will try to ask him for you" he said with a little bit of hesitation
Xiao Zhen's eyes beamed in delight "R-Really?!!!" he blurted out "You'll help me?!!" he repeated again. Wei Shin nodded his head that led him to surprise because the second Prince hugged him again. "Thank you so much,Wei Shin!! You're a very reliable friend!!" he exclaimed in joy
"Ehh?? F-Friend?! Isn't it too much for a slave like me to befriend your majesty?"
Xiao Zhen shakes his head "From now on, you'll become my friend so less worries, I will give you royal protection too whenever you're in my care" he pressed Wei Shin's palms "And I promised that it will never happen again" he added.
Wei Shin nodded his head in agreement after saying thank you for his gratitude.
After a minute of talking with him,Xiao Zhen and his servant left the room. He was a Prince with so many duties so Wei Shin didn't expect the male to stay with him all day. He was left there again, alone.
And because Wei Shin was stubborn, he went outside. He had so many questions to ask Zi Yuzuo and he had no choice because he literally wanted to see the Prince right now.
He walked the corridors quietly and slowly, he didn't know where he was going because the palace was too big and Qi Feng wasn't on his side to guide him.
"No, I can do this myself..I relied so much on Qi Feng that I didn't even think that things like this might happen in the future" he mumbled, continuing his steps.
But the farther he walked, the more dizzy he became. He can't deny that his legs are still hurting because of the marks left by the red lilies. He stayed in bed too much so it was still hard for him to walk freely.
When he was going to make a turn, his knees trembled down. He was about to hit the floor when another body embraced him,pulling him by his waist.
He recognized the man, his black curly shoulder length hair with a messy bun, his brown eyes and his sweet smile. It was Qi Feng!
"What are you doing? Why are you sneaking early in the morning, Wei Shin?" Qi Feng asked him as he supported the male to stand straight.
Wei Shin smiled nervously "Ehehe..I Literally wanted to see the Prince but I got lost" he said as he tried to straighten his back but he instantly wobbled down and before he could lose his balance, Qi Feng caught him again.
"You're struggling to walk, are your legs okay?" Qi Feng asked with a worried face
"I'm okay..hehe"
Qi Feng wasn't convinced, especially when he saw that the man was about to fall. He will be punished if anything happened to Wei Shin and besides his personal urge was also worried about the male.
"Hop on!" Qi Feng crouched down "I will give you a piggy ride towards the Prince's room so hurry" he said
Wei Shin blushed and was astonished "Ehh!!! Are you sure?! It's embarrassing!" he exclaimed
Qi Feng gave him a dismay look "I don't want my head to be cut because I neg---"
Wei Shin quickly hopped onto his back "Okay, okay!" he complained "Take me to his room" he said
Qi Feng carried him with care as he smiled "Yes, my bunny.."
