Chapter 9: Chapter 8 Cafeteria
"That was, interesting." Conner said as they sat down at the cafeteria. Currently they were waiting for their food as it was already lunch time. "Ya, but that outcome was as expected." Jack, said as his armor glistened.
After the fight he had reattached his armor to ensure that he wouldn't go over board by accident. 'Eventually I'll need to find a way to control my "unleashed" mode, and be able to activate Meteoric Burst without any drawbacks. Then I'd at least be decently strong. Maybe a bit before graduation I can reach Boros' level?' Jack thought to himself as 2 figures entered his view.
"Here." Kurt said as he placed two trays on the table. Simultaneously so did Bill as he placed on in front of him, and gave one to Conner. "Come on, don't be so salty. Its not our fault you lost rock, papers, scissors." Jack said as he grabbed the food on the tray.
Hearing this Bill's eyes pierced towards Jack, but he didn't say anything. "Your power, its impressive." Kurt said, while gazing towards Jack. "Well it is but it isn't, some people's powers, hah, they'd make mine look like shit!" Jack stated.
"Who? Like Superman?" Bill said in response, as immediately Conner sighed. 'Whenever comic book characters are compared to anime characters, he cant control himself.' Conner thought as he gazed at Jack.
Oddly enough though, he just shook his head as he gazed at Bill. "He's definitely stronger then who my powers originate from, but base Superman isn't that strong." Jack stated, as Bill looked at him confused.
"But Superman can destroy buildings and fly faster than a jet plane. How is he not the strongest?" Bill declared, confused as to what Jack was saying.
"Building level? Really? Conner's powers for example, come from a man said to be able to tear the world apart, he could create tsunamis. My powers come from an Alien that could destroy the world in its entirety with his strongest attack. Superman could punch with the force of a planet in some of his versions. Building level isn't worth shit." Jack explained, feeling provoked by Bill's statement.
"Fine, like do you have to get so serious over fictional powers." Bill said as he continued to eat his food. "If you haven't realized, they're not fictional anymore." Jack replied, before finishing his food.
Hearing this Bill didn't know how to respond. 'Whatever, this shithead pisses me off, I'll just become stronger and beat his ass myself. He may have looked impressive, but he has no skill.' Bill mused before getting up from his seat.
"I am going to train, see you idiots later." Bill said before walking away. They had already finished their classes for the day, and Madara had said if they wanted to, they could use the gym to train.
"Well you heard him, I am going to train too." Jack added as he got ready to leave. "Wait, can I ask you some questions?" Kurt stopped him.
"Fine, what do you need? Seeing as we're roommates I'll help you a bit." Jack replied. Hearing this Kurt smiled, before speaking.
"I need to know, who's strongest swordsman?" Kurt asked with determination. "What do you mean by that? Do you mean the most skilled, or do you mean the strongest power wise?" Jack said, before pausing momentarily.
"If you mean the most skilled, I am not too sure honestly, but its irrelevant. If you can beat Zabuza Momochi, you'd be meh, if you can beat Roronoa Zoro you can be considered average. If you can beat Asta I'd consider you above average, now this is a big if, but if you managed to somehow beat Meliodas, Sasuke Uchiha, or Ichigo Kurosaki I'd consider you very strong for your ability, like, extremely strong." Jack explained, hearing this Kurt nodded.
"How strong are they though?" Kurt inquired. "Hmmm Zabuza would be a Jonin so I'd guess he could destroy a town with some effort. Zoro could destroy multiple buildings casually with simple slashes. Asta has anti magic and ridiculous attack sizes, Meliodas fought the Demon King, Sasuke has fought against planet level entities, and Ichigo Kurosaki killed Yhwach who could be considered a God in a sense, so he's at minimum planet level." Jack answered, hearing this Kurt's face was ashen.
'If I want to be the strongest, I have to beat those monsters?' Kurt thought in dismay. "I mean, its doable it just depends on the abilities you gained when we entered the Innerverse." Jack thought before getting up and walking off.
"Don't worry Kurt, honestly those guys he mentioned probably have a bunch of other things apart from being swordsman, like some of the things Jack has mentioned to me offhandedly are insane. Probably at some point you'll be able to beat them somehow." Conner consoled Kurt.
"Ya, we'll see." Kurt said as he rose from his seat. "I am also going to train, I suggest you do so as well." Kurt recommended before leaving the cafeteria as well. Conner was then left all alone.
"I guess this is what I get for trying to be the nice guy." He mumbled, before also leaving the cafeteria. Little did they know, someone was watching them the entire time.
'Interesting, Jack isn't filled with arrogance unlike what one might think, Bill is passionate about his training, Kurt is determined but is wavering, while Conner is trying his best to keep everything together.' He thought before completely disappearing.
'This year, its interesting.' The man contemplated before reappearing hundreds of meters away. This man, was obviously, their homeroom teacher, Madara Uchiha.
