Chapter 25: Ch. 13 Part 1
The village head's sons, ger and daughter got up very early... as early as the first light, they each carried a basket filled with foodstuffs and marched to YanZhi's house. Lu Lixin who was the eldest of them anxiously knocked on the door and withdrew his hand at once.... all four stood still like statues waiting for the door to be answered. YanZhi felt their presence but chose to ignore them making them stand behind the door for a while as a way of testing them...
" Xiong Gong shouldn't we answer the door for them? those are the village head's children, wouldn't the village head find this disrespectful if we keep his children waiting while they're on an errand for him? " Xiao Ling walked out of the kitchen along with Yue with their simple yet delicious breakfast asking YanZhi in a very blunt tone. Since they decided to stay in big stone village for a long time, it wouldn't be good for them if they are not on good terms with the village head.
" they're here for themselves not the village head... just ignore them for now, they won't leave " YanZhi replied nonchalantly with a smile
" what do you mean? " Xiao Ling asked confused, he could use his sense to sense people and tell who they were... but YanZhi who was more experienced than him can prob into people's souls and read their minds or tell what they want. It's one of the original techniques he created called ' soul probing technique ' but he has never used it on Xiao Ling let alone tell him about it.
" little wife don't worry, you'll know soon.... don't bother with them, I know what I'm doing "
" Hm " Xiao Ling answered and focused on eating quietly, after they were done Yue packed the dishes back to the kitchen to wash and cleaned the table.... YanZhi drummed his fingers on the table for a while staring at the closed door and sensing the people behind
" Yue.... open the door for them " YanZhi ordered when he thought he had kept them waiting for long
" Yes master " Yue cupped her hands in respect before walking to open the door. When the siblings standing outside heard the lock of the door being pried opened they suddenly felt refreshed as if a weight had been lifted off their shoulders.... but the anxiousness and panic soon return when they walked into the front yard and saw YanZhi seating gracefully not bothering with them and chatting happily with Xiao Ling. Lu Lixin took deep breaths to calm down and walked over to YanZhi and kowtowed taking the lead,
" master Yan.... please permit us to worship you as our master " Lu Lixin pleaded... when his siblings saw what he did they also hurriedly walked over and kowtowed
" master Yan... please permit us to worship you as our master " the rest said in unison but YanZhi wasn't in a hurry to respond as his attention was on his bewildered wife.
" ..... this? " Xiao Ling couldn't find his words as he pointed to them but YanZhi still understood what he wanted to say and nodded to him confirming his thoughts. YanZhi kept staring at them calmly drumming his fingers on the table as if in deep thought.... but he was just concentrating on his wife watching Xiao Ling go in and out of the room doing his own thing, Yue stood still looking between YanZhi and the people who kowtowed in front of him feeling bad for them... her colleagues and her didn't have this hard time, infact they didn't know anything back then, it was the three years old YanZhi who approached them and took them under his wings... they were just happy to meet their fellow species who was different from them, it was when YanZhi was five years before he took them on the path of cultivation so seeing how hard it is to worship a master she was thankful for their luck.
" master Yan..... please permit us to worship you as our master " Lu Lixin pleaded again when minutes passed without any reply from YanZhi
" master Yan.... please permit us to worship you as our master " the others repeated after him.
" get up " YanZhi ordered in a stern voice no longer sounding friendly like before which made Lu Lixin happy that they've made progress. They quickly got up and placed the baskets they brought with them in front of him.
" Master Yan... please accept our sincerity " Lu Lixin said in a very politely manner and YanZhi nodded
" go back now..... I'll call for you all later. Yue see them to the door " YanZhi said to them and ordered Yue
" thank you master " they cupped their hands respectfully and said politely to YanZhi, YanZhi waved his hand to them as if shooing them but they still smiled since they knew the difference in their ranks now. Yue gave them a thumbs up after walking them out before she closed the door.
" did he accept us? " the youngest Lan Fen who was a ger asked
" I think so... sister Yue gave us a thumbs up and he accepted the gifts we sent " Xao Mi who was the only girl among them answered.... they finally released the breath which they didn't know they were holding and sighed in relief.
" let's go home and inform our parents... they must be worried waiting for the news " Lixin said to them and they hurried home.

" Were you expecting this? " Xiao Ling asked YanZhi trying to inquire about it after the village head's children left.
" hm, i was only expecting the two sons.... I didn't know he'd let the daughter and ger also follow. I think they were inspired by Yue " YanZhi answered truthfully
" then was it okay to accept them? teaching them cultivation.... "
" little wife I never said I was going to teach them cultivation, I'm opening a martial arts school... not a cultivation school " YanZhi cut in and corrected him
" oh you're right... I thought too far. By the way wouldn't it be like raising freeloaders? they didn't bring anything valuable and you're going to teach them good stuffs " Xiao Ling frowned making YanZhi laughed and Yue shivered.. she always thought Xiao Ling was one who liked to pity others with how good his temperament was but seeing him indifferent and not welcoming of those who came to worship YanZhi as a master made her see his true side which made her think that what he usually showed people isn't what he really is... just like how Yanzhi was, not showing his true self ' no wonder they fit each other and get along well... I should watch myself well not to ever anger them ' she thought making YanZhi arched an eyebrow and smiled at her because he head her thoughts.
" how can I raise freeloaders... I'll put them to work. We have a lot of things to do so they'll be helping, disciples ought to work for their masters... can't you see how Yue helps around " YanZhi said
" ah you're right.... Yue is really helpful " Xiao Ling agreed optimistically
" her brothers and sister will also be coming to help very soon... they're already on the verge of breakthrough and will be taking a complete human form... they'll be out of seclusion soon enough " Xiao Ling smiled brightly as he couldn't wait to meet them soon... he had gotten along well with Yue for these few days he spent with her so he was wondering how the rest will fare.
Yue packed the stuffs which the village head's children brought to the kitchen before they cleaned themselves up nicely and head for their shop in the county... when they got to the shop brother Song was waiting for them with his team of six.
" brother Song... have you been here for long? " Xiao Ling asked apologetically
" ah master Jun, fulang of master Jun... we just arrived not long " he cupped his hands and answered.... YanZhi nodded to them and went ahead and unlocked the door. They walked into the shop as brother Song checked around.... YanZhi took out the sketches for the shop's plan and the designs for the tables and chairs, he passed them to brother Song
" brother Song these are the plans for the shop's renovation and designs for the tables and chairs.... can you do them? " YanZhi asked, brother Song studied the plans and designs for a while admiring the detailed sketches and it's novelty.
" master Jun we can do it... the sketches are detailed and easy to understand. This is my first time seeing such detailed sketched plans in my twenty years of experience... mistress drew this plan and the designs? " brother Song asked feeling intrigued and motivated to see the plan take shape by his hands.
" yes... my wife is very talented... so how long will everything take to be completed... both the shop's renovation and the chairs and tables? " YanZhi asked
" hmm... two weeks. Just give us two weeks and everything will be completed. " he thought about it before answering.... normal it takes about a month to renovate a shop using the owner's plans but because Xiao Ling's drawings were so detailed with easy understanding, brother Song was sure he could finish it early with his team.
