Chapter 15: Taming The Beast
Still in the deep forest,
When the younger disciples of Master Wushu thought that they have defeated the wild wolves, a silhouette of the leader of the wild beasts started to appear.
It raised a certain level of desperation amongst Hawks and his other fellow disciples in finding ways to survive this perilous situation that they are cornered into.
"How could they survive it?" Billy curiously asked.
All of them looked at the leader of the wild wolves starting to get back on its own feet.
Then another silhouette of wild wolves started to appear as well which are coming out from the smoke.
"I-impossible! H-hawks, how could those creatures survive?" Rankuza could not believe that there are numbers of wild wolves that even survived from their plot against them.
Even Hawks could not believe it as well. He was certain that the plan would have gone smoothly on their advantage.
"Rankuza, I cannot also believe with what I am seeing right now! But there must have been something that …" Hawks realized something that he was not able to consider.
The ability of each leader of wild wolves can be as fatal and useful whenever it is needed by such creature.
A reason to which why the leader of the wild wolves is being followed by a number of wild wolves due to its dominating abilities and reliable skills compared to a normal or common wild wolf.
This was something that Hawks forgot to include in the probability of success of his own strategy against their targets.
*** Flashback ***
Right at the moment when the leader of the wild wolves leaped in its attempt to pounce on Hawks, the other wild wolves followed pursuit at the signal of the attack of their own leader.
One by one the wild wolves started to initiate a collective attack against the younger disciples of Master Wushu.
Then all of the wild wolves did not expect for the younger ones to have planned something against their intimidating number.
A powerful shaking on the ground which created such quake that took all the wild wolves by surprise.
In an instant, the rocky ground cracked asunder …
Each wild wolf howled and whimpered in their fall …
As they landed in few meters from above,
Immediately, each wild wolf tried to pick themselves up and avoid some of the falling debris of rocks.
But their leader focused at the image of the younger disciples of Master Wushu, it prepared for the final attack and waited to counter-attack.
Just as Rankuza dropped the explosive balls, the leader of the wild wolves howled and released its ability.
A lightning rod formed around the white horn of the leader of the wild wolves.
The white diamond symbol around the horn of the leader amongst the wild wolves gleamed brightly and released blue bright sparks. Then turned into a lightning rod.
{-Lightning Whip-}
An ability which can be used as well by the wild wolves. It creates a blue bright sparks and later on forms into a lightning rod which can be manipulated by the wielder of the ability. It can control the direction through its own will.
After releasing its ability, the leader of the wild wolves aimed at the explosive balls.
There was a loud and powerful impact caused by the intense level of explosion from,
{-Lightning Whip-} and explosive balls.
Due to the loud and powerful explosion, another debris of rocks started to fall from the sides.
From this point on the leader of the wild wolves looked at the other wild wolves to follow his tracks.
The leader of the wild wolves leaped and used the falling debris as its platform to jump and leap again towards the other debris.
Until it reached the top and successfully caught up with the younger disciples of Master Wushu.
*** End of flashback ***
Only few wild wolves successfully followed their leader.
The others were left behind under the large hole created from Billy's powerful punch.
An angry growl could be heard from the leader of the wild wolves.
It gave out a signal to its fellow wild wolves to attack Hawks and his fellow younger disciples.
Each wild wolf moved quickly and initiated a swift attack.
From that point, Maya had to use her abilities,
Her extreme speed and lethal attacks.
Hawks and the other boys watched Maya disappear from their side.
Then they saw her appear at the side of one wild wolf.
She gave surprise attack.
Focusing her ki and hardening it around her arm. It allowed her to make her own arm into a weapon against the wild wolves. She chopped and knocked out one wild wolf after the other.
Using her full strength and going all-out,
The leader of the wild wolves got agitated and annoyed that Maya was able to take down the wild wolves without getting any scratch at all.
{-Lightning Blast-}
A lightning blast suddenly hit Maya.
Unknown to Maya, she did not expect that the leader of the wild wolves was aiming at her as she tried to attack the other wild wolves bravely.
Her body got knocked away towards a gigantic trunk of tree.
-Thud-
A loud sound of her back landing to the sturdy gigantic trunk.
And there was a large crack created from the impact of her landing.
She lost her own consciousness due to the powerful attack from the leader of the wild wolves.
"Maya !!!" Hawks yelled along with the other boys.
Billy ran towards Maya to assist her.
It angered Hawks to see Maya got hurt.
When he was about to launch an attack in retribution for Maya's sudden defeat.
"Hawks wait! I have thought of something!" Rankuza said to Hawks.
"What? Tell me now!"
"Remember, about the taming of the beasts? Why not try taming this one. And if we succeed, the other wild wolves will no longer dare harm us. We would even have an additional weapon against any enemies or threat within the forest." Rankuza offered to Hawks.
…
Only silence and seriousness could be seen from Hawks while he contemplates on his options and its success rate.
"You will get stronger once you successfully tame this beast!"
