Chapter 17: Memories of the Past

"Louisa, listen to me. Please stop running and come here. Mumma got tired by running," Sophia Miller said taking a seat

Louisa didn't stop at that and kept running

"My head is spinning," Sophia said clutching her head in her hands

Six-year-old Louisa who can't see her mother in pain ran back to her

"Mumma, are you okay?" She asked pulling her mother's hands

"Caught you" saying that Sophia Miller caged Louisa in her arms and made her sit on her Lap

"Naughty girl, you are making Mumma tired but see I have my tricks," Sophia said looking at her daughter

"Mumma, this is not fair. You have cheated me again" Louisa replied with pouted lips

"Yes, I have cheated you just like the way you have cheated me by having chocolates behind my back," Sophia said with a smirk.

Louisa's donut-shaped eyes have gone wide listening to her Mother's words

"How do you know this Mumma?" Louisa asked

"I am your Mumma right and Mumma knows everything," Sophia said kissing Louisa's hair

"Mumma, don't you think that this dress is a little revealing?" Louisa asked standing before the mirror

"Ohho Lou, you are thinking too much. If you don't wear this kind of clothes now, when will you ever get to wear them? So throw away your inhibitions and just slay," Sophia said curling Louisa's long locks

"What if Dad gets angry over this?" Louisa asked looking at her Mother

"Then your Mom will be dealing with him and he has no right to refrain you from wearing what you want. You are 13 years old and this is your first ever Prom. Who is he to stop you?" Sophia asked tweaking her brows

"You are the best one ever Mumma," Louisa kissed her Mother's cheeks saying that

"Love you, baby, be safe and enjoy the night," Sophia said hugging her

"Mumma, I am scared. He called me to his room. How is he going to react?" Asked a petrified Louisa

"Don't worry Louisa, we will try explaining him" Sophia said

"I never wanted to drink that, I have only sipped it because you have encouraged me Mumma," Louisa said looking towards her Mother

"It's nothing wrong to have a drink. Your Dad just loves you too much and that is why he doesn't want you to have them at this tender age. I don't want to restrict you while all your peers are enjoying. You have just taken a sip of it so don't worry. We will explain that to your father," Sophia assured Louisa

"Mumma, promise me that you won't let Dad take any harsh decisions because of my stupidity," Louisa asked with terror in her eyes

"No Louisa, Dad will never take any harsh decisions for his little girl and if he gets angry I will make sure that he won't show that on you. I have your back not only for now but forever.

Louisa shot her eyes open and tears rolled down her eyes

All the sweet memories of her past made her quite emotional. She wiped her tears but her heart kept bleeding.

"What went wrong? Is it me? Is that her or destiny?"Louisa wondered

Her body got the much-needed relaxation but now her heart is aching. She let the shower run on her body and stepped out of the bathtub.

She dried her body using the towel and strolled towards the huge mirror

Louisa dropped the towel on the floor and stood naked before the mirror. Her eyes looked at the rejuvenated body

The bath made wonders to her body and she looked fresh than ever. Louisa's fingers ran to her stomach and she traced her fingers on the marks there for a few minutes

She was so lost while doing that but she didn't let the emotions take over her as she knew she can't be normal if she allows the pain to succumb her

She picked up another towel and rolled that over her hand and covered her with a towel before stepping out of the bathroom

"You took an eternity to step out Louisa," Aunt Flora said as soon as Louisa entered her bedroom

"Sometimes that's much needed to make yourself all right and get ready for more heartbreak on the way," Louisa replied chuckling sarcastically

"Louisa, why are you speaking about heartbreak now? You are with your Aunt Flora no one or no heartbreak can even come close to you," Flora said seriously

"Okay my darling Aunt," Louisa said pulling Flora's chin

"Your favorite delicacies are waiting for your arrival so if Queen Louisa gets dressed she can have them," Aunt Flora replied

"I don't have my clothes here," Louisa said biting her tender lips

"Louisa, did something happen to your eyes?" Flora questioned

"No Aunt Flora, I am perfectly all right. Why are you asking me that?" Louisa questioned

"That's because you are saying that you lack clothes even after your wardrobe is filled with clothes," Flora said pointing towards the lavish wardrobe

"But I am not wearing such types of clothes now," Louisa said looking either side

"Louisa I know about that, but it's not a sin to get dressed well and you are going to stay in home so no one will know that the crazily dressed Louisa is wearing normal clothes now," Aunt Flora replied

"But I don't want to wear those again," Louisa replied looking down

"But I want to see my Louisa wearing them. Won't you make your Aunt Flora happy?" Flora asked pulling Louisa's chin up

"You always know how to convince me, Aunt Flora. Okay I will wear them but please select me a dress, I will wear whatever my Aunt Flora wants me to see in," Louisa said pushing Flora towards the wardrobe

Flora threw the moisturizer towards Louisa and asked her to apply that. While Louisa followed her orders Flora opened the wardrobes and started searching for the best dress

Her eyes scanned the whole wardrobe. She wanted to pick every dress but refrained from doing that and kept looking for the best one as it's been many days since she saw her Louisa in something beautiful

Flora finally picked a Prussian blue knee-length skirt paired with a Peach colored top

"Lou, dress up in this one and I will send the staff to assist you," Flora said excitedly

"Aunt Flora, I am going to stay at home. There's absolutely no need to get ready," Louisa said stopping Flora

"I am not going to listen to anyone, not even you. So follow my orders and get dressed, I will send them in 10 minutes," Flora left the room

"So Louisa, you have no chance to escape when you received the order from Aunt Flora," Louisa said to herself exhaling deeply and walked towards the mirror clutching her dress
