Chapter 4: 003 - The Beginning After The End (3)

"How so... The writer ends his novel with an obscure ending like this?"

"Why didn't the writer tell what exactly is meant by the blood curse that comes from the 'blood-crazy Wolf' and how to cure it!"

"And why does the young King only appear at the last moment and then the novel ends? Where's the side story?"

"And most importantly! How can the most important element in the romantic genre, the main female character who will love each other with the main male character, not be here at all?!"

"How can this trash tragic novel can become the most popular romantic novel no.1?"

"Tell me where the romance lies?"

"Eternal love or sacrifice? Bullshit! The title is not the same as the story!!"

"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!"

Faerie, who stood up from her chair for a few minutes, finally sat back in the chair again because she felt tired and kept shouting in a high tone.

"Calm down... Please calm my heart...." Faerie rubbed her chest. Fear of her heart going back into trouble and relapsing if she chooses to continue her futile rage.

Faerie, who had been sitting in the chair, chose to lean back with relief after feeling her heartbeat had returned to normal. She silently glanced back at the computer screen.

"Do all romantic novels end tragically like this? I can die quickly if I keep reading stories that have a plot like this," murmured Faerie while closing her eyes for a moment so that her mind would also calm down.

"I'm sure this writer is not talented at all. Haha!" Faerie laughed mockingly.

At the thought of that, Faerie glanced at the empty review comment. No one filled out the comment section. Either the reader who praises or the reader who vilifies this novel.

'How could this novel be top #1 if there are no reviews...?' thought Faerie astonished.

Faerie glanced at the novel's rating. The number of stars awarded for this novel is quite large.

That means there is not a single person who does not like the tragic plot of this shity novel as much as she does when she sees that no one is protesting or cursing in the review comments column.

'... Who likes this shit?' Faerie thought while swearing in her heart.

"... Hah!" Faerie was surprised to see that the last time someone gave a rating was 50 years ago. Not only that but this book was written 50 years ago.

"... No wonder the website design looks outdated. It turns out to be more than 50 years old." Faerie said softly.

She considers it reasonable for a website to reads novels that are already 50 years old and are still able to survive even though the technology is increasingly sophisticated.

'Wait, what writer made this novel is still alive... Or are they grandparents?' The inner Faerie was bewildered but decided to just ignore it.

Faerie glanced at her bed which looked comfortable and soft.

Faerie yawned involuntarily. "It's time to go to bed instead of getting angry," muttered Faerie as she stood up and walked towards her bed.

She even ignored her computer screen, which was still burning brightly, because she was so annoyed by the romantic novel, no, the shity novel she read earlier.

After changing into a comfortable lying position, Faerie puts on a blindfold and raises the blanket to the top of her chest.

Without a second, Faerie fell asleep very soundly.

Bzzt! Bzzt!

There was a strange sound from the computer that was still burning brightly. But the owner fell asleep soundly as if she didn't care if her computer was damaged because she left it on without being turned off first.

On the computer screen that is still brightly lit, it slowly turns into red stripes.

Not only that, the screen flickered for a few seconds before the screen changed its overall color to red.

Bzzt! Bzzt! Bzzt!

BOOOOOOOM!

"AH?! WHAT WAS THAT SOUND?!" Faerie shouted very loudly, and her body spontaneously stood up immediately in shock.

Hurriedly, Faerie looked around. However, her eyes could not see clearly. The surrounding feels blurry.

"Huh?" Faerie exclaimed in surprise.

"Where am I?" Faerie was able to realize that she was not in her room even though her eyes could not see clearly.

Faerie is sure that she was somewhere unfamiliar.

While waiting for her eyesight to recover, Faerie fumbled around but never found anything she could reach or touch.

"What's going on?" Faerie grumbled.

When she wanted to complain further, but not so because there was a quiet voice that made her flinch in surprise.

Click.

Faerie widened her eyes in surprise. All of a sudden. All around became black.

But strangely, she didn't feel any fear at all when she saw the dark atmosphere. Maybe it's because she is used to the dark.

Faerie touched her entire body, making sure there was nothing strange in herself before deciding to go back to check where she was now. Unfortunately, she couldn't see anything so dark she was confused as to what to do.

"Did I have a bad dream? I didn't expect the effect of reading a shitty novel to be like this," murmured Faerie, whose face showed a very, very unhappy and regretful expression.

Though she hopes to fall asleep soundly while reading a cliche romantic novel her precious sleep time is wasted because of the shity novel.

"Well, let's pinch my cheeks so I can quickly wake up from this damn nightmare," muttered Faerie as she pinched her cheek.

But her movement suddenly stopped because there was something round like a ball, was hovering suspiciously far in front of her.

Although Faerie wanted to doubt her eyesight because she could see something when it was pitch-dark around like this. Faerie couldn't help but be surprised.

"W-What is it?" Faerie shuddered with fear because she could not guess what was flying toward her.

As if aware of being looked at, something spherical and hovering above the air accelerated its movement towards Faerie even more.

"Huaaaaaa! Why is 'that' flying this way?! No! No! Go away!"

Faerie ran around as tight as possible so that the suspicious ball could not chase her let alone touch her.

"Hooosssh...! Hoosshh...! Wait a minute! This is it... in a dream!! How could I... feeling of difficulty breathing... in an unreal dream too?!" shouted Faerie who immediately stopped running after noticing the strangeness.

"Thank goodness. At first, I thought you were stupid, but you're not."

"Huh?!" Faerie gasped at the sound of a stranger who dared to call her stupid, "who is it?!"

"Oh-ho. It turns out you're a fool."

Feeling annoyed at having been told stupid twice, made Faerie's fear disappear in an instant.

"Hey! Show up! Don't hide and say it in front of me if you want to talk shit to people!!" shouted Faerie.

"Hey, stupid."

"I said to show up if you want-"

"I have appeared in front of you." The mysterious noise cuts casually.

Faerie looked around when she saw the pitch-dark surroundings, where there was only the 'ball' that had been chasing her but had stopped chasing her, and now just floating quietly in the air.

"Nothing! I don't see any human except me in here!"

"Who said I was human?" The strange yet mysterious sounded annoyed.

'Not human..? So, what..?'

With hesitation, Faerie again opened her mouth. "Uh... I asked because I knew this was impossible... but just to make sure... You're not the 'ball', are you?"

"Ha! I thought you were slow, but you're pretty responsive, too."

The strange and suspicious ball approached her by hovering in the air.

Faerie could now clearly see that the ball was also black, just like the Faerie's surroundings.

"Right! This is me. My appearance now looks like the most expensive, the most beautiful, the most glittering, and the most tantalizing Pearl that so many lowly humans want me until they go to war with each other, right?!"

The stranger's voice sounded very proud when he introduced himself.

Faerie, who from the very beginning saw the suspicious black ball as a dangerous bomb that was ready to explode at any moment if touched, instantly turned her gaze towards the black ball into a look of disgust.

"Hey, disrespectful! Why are you looking at me greatly and mighty, with such a look?!"

"Your assessment of yourself sounds disgusting. Don't you have a mirror?!" asked Faerie, irritably.

Faerie walked over and touched the black ball with her index finger.

Touch.

There was no strange sound like an explosion that Faerie suppose.

"It's not a bomb...." said Faerie, relieved.

"Hey! How can you be so disrespectful to me? Do you know who I am?!"

"It's up to you who. I just want to wake up from this weird nightmare," answered Faerie with a lazy sound.

The black ball that had not moved at all, now moved back to fly towards Faerie.

"Back? You? Where?"

"Of course to my real world," Faerie replied casually.

"But your real world is already destroyed, you know?"

"I forgot to turn off my computer when I finished reading that shitty novel."

"..." The voices of the two of them overlapped so that they stared at each other without the slightest sound.

"Ah?"

"Eh?"

Neither Faerie nor that mysterious noise. They were both shocked.

"My real world is destroyed?!"

"Shitty novel?!"

"What do you mean?!" They were screaming at the same time.

"You first!" cried Faerie.

The black ball swirled around the Faerie's body as if it were observing Faerie in detail.

"What did you hear or remember the last time before you came in here?"

Faerie answered while remembering. "... very loud explosion sound?"

"Right! Your home has been in a terrible accident! There seems to have been a mysterious explosion."

"Huh?" Faerie gawked. She felt her system stop working.

"In summary.... It is not your real world that is destroyed, but your body! Hahaha!"
