Serena looked towards Charlton's direction and as if their minds were in sync, he was also looking at hers. Her two eyebrows raised as if to give him a cue, before turning to face the ladies again. After a minute, she excused herself, stating that she needed to use the loo.

Charlton inwardly smirked as he watched Serena sashaying towards the exit. She really likes making things easy for him, doesn't she? He looked back at the gents, answered a technical question about musical techniques thrown his way, before excusing himself.

Since everyone was busy in their conversations and it was still too early, no one paid heed that the two stars for the evening has been missing at the same time.
