# Characters And Setting
Plot Thus Far:
Trial Run is the story and emotional journey of Ivan, the only magicless person
in a world filled with magic. Ivan changes from an inherently evil villain to a
man trapped by his own actions and morals. When the young thief stumbles
upon the dark secrets of the world and the pocket-watch with the power of
'Trial Run,' that lets him project 30 seconds into the future, Ivan believes it his
fate to cleanse the world of the magic he despises.
Ivan dons the mask of a hidden villain as he travels over the seven lands to
assemble the seven stones that source the elements of magic and break them
along with the rainbow stone that spreads magic into the world. With only his
wits and the watch as his weapons, he grows his strength, power, and
influence over the world by various means. From creating a group that works
as his limbs, to tricking a kingdom's royalty and joining their ranks.
Character Sheet:
Ivan: -
Ivan is a modestly charming and fit young man with black hair and purple eyes.
Being the only magicless person in a world of magic, he has a better physique
than the average person. Being born under the captivity of once the greatest
mage, Ivan is more knowledgeable in the field of magic than current-day
experts. Ivan comes across as a humorous and witty narcissist who rarely takes
things seriously but knows what he is doing. Under that cover, he is a cold-
blooded and manipulative psychopath who uses wits to achieve his goals.
Nea Alba: -
Nea Alba is a deuteragonist of the story. She is a beautiful lady with pink hair
and pink eyes. Her mastery in magic and status as a Quester, a group of highly
specialized and skilled mages, make her a force to be reckoned with. Smart,
observant, and powerful, Nea is a character with a past filled with loss. She
seeks to find value in herself and readily agrees when Ivan makes her believe
he is a person out to save the world from the loss of magic. Unknowingly, she
causes the most changes in Ivan and his personage with her actions and
personality, and learns to accept herself in the process. Ivan cherishes Nea the
most out of his companions and changes his view of her from a valued
possession to that of his kin and a sister-like figure.
Eric Tanabe: -
A genius inventor of the underworld that goes by the name of ET, Eric Tanabe
is Ivan's best friend. He is a compassionate and loud character with looks that
compel people to compare him to angels and sculptures. Unfortunately, Eric
remains largely impervious to this fact and believes that the reason people are
uncomfortable around him is because they find him unpleasant. He joins Ivan
and Nea on their journey thanks to the genuine and unjudging treatment they
show him alongside his own adventurous and dutiful nature. Despite being the
character that frequently becomes the butt of the joke in the story, Eric is an
emotionally mature character, that the rest of the crew can turn to, and rely
on, in their times of need.
Vanessa: -
A graceful and beautiful witch who is also the strongest character in Ivan's
group. An accident in her past, which involved Ivan, makes her a hateful soul.
She blames Ivan for the incident and utterly despises him. When she learns
that Ivan has the knowledge and ability to rid the world of magic, the only
thing she hates more than Ivan, she decides to accompany him and remove
magic before killing Ivan.
Supporting Characters:
Yasumichi Ito: -
Ivan's trusted right hand man and the first member of Beacon as well as it's vice-president. Yasumichi Ito lost his wife and had his daughter crippled after which he promised fealty to Ivan for rescuing him from a dark spot. He is the most loyal retainer for Ivan. Holds Ivan and his entourage in high regard. He's a brusque man with a fatherly aura, but is more muscular than Ivan.
Alex Kirk: -
A former Mafioso whose family was wiped out in Elisbonear. Was subsequently saved by Ivan and decided to follow him of his own accord. Alex Kirk is a young man with red hair, tanned skin, and a mischievous personality that doesn't shy away from cruelty. He finds Ivan annoying and has a very casual relationship with him, much like the rest of the Ivan saved group except Yasumichi Ito. He serves as the left hand man for Ivan and the chairman for Beacon Corp.
Yoshitsune Shogo: -
A young man from a hailed family. A strange accident led to his family's death through a fire along with their 120 years of history with him as the only survivor. He pledges himself to Ivan and does his best to ensure his master's comfort. Yoshitsune is a capable person with a great aptitude for business and information gathering. He changes at the sight of money and becomes easily conceited.
Nishio Hiraari: -
Another member of Beacon who had been tortured by a mysterious person for ages before being saved by Ivan. He follows Ivan closely and handles most of the business affairs as an aide for Yoshitsune Shogo. Despite his lack of position and responsibilities, he is a very capable person working on the "brighter" side of the corporation while not being unaware of the darkness.
Takai Masaru: -
Nishio Hiraari's best friend and another member working on the brighter parts of Beacon while being fully aware of the darkness within. He had witnessed his children helplessly getting mauled by dogs and had joined Ivan for the sake of revenge, unlike the others who have joined him for his magnanimiyt and being saved by him. Ivan considers Takai an interesting experiment and tries to involve him in matters at a slow pace.
Ki Yeo-Jung:
A beautiful woman who's also always tired. Due to her haggardly appearance and dulled face from her chronic exhaustion, Ki Yeo-Jung is frequently likened to a ghost despite her charming looks. She is a smart cookie who used to be Eric Tanabe's senior. Some unknown circumstances had transpired rendering her away from her previous pose as a researcher. She is on very relaxed terms with Alex Kirk and is in his 'party,' she frequently refers to him as 'Mafia bastard,' only to be called a 'Criminal Bitch,' much to her chagrin. Like most others from Beacon, she has a very casual relationship with Ivan though she holds him in high respect, but doesn't hold back from recognizing her master's standing as the scum of the earth.
Tiny: -
A tiny girl who is actually a matured woman. Despite her height and betraying the looks of an middle schooler, she is advanced in her years. Her long black hair has alternating white stripes through the left end, a natural and very curious highlight. She is mature and kind for most moments but is overwhelmingly savage when pissed, on top of that, she is also powerful enough in a battle to give Nea and Alex a run for their money. Her cooking is horrible.
Qiu Zan: -
A dark knight hiding in the shadows… not. Qiu Zan is a man with long braided black hair and a black heart to go along. He usually sports black overalls and prefers to blend with the knight, which works well with his dark-attribute spells. He has a very uncooperative personality and is by all means a chuunibyou on top of being an extreme narcissist. Despite his personality, he is extraordinarily capable physically and mentally, making it a shame that he doesn't like to contribute. His personality largely mellows down and he gladly cooperates with orders as long as it is Ivan enlisting them, his chuunibyou has no kryptonite, though.
Mike (Meekeh): -
A young and hot blonde working as a transporter for the Red Doves in the floating continent. He is a famed transporter all over the world as is also Ivan's childhood friend. He is very cooperative and helpful toward Ivan to a degree that even Ivan's close entourage fall short. Meekeh has a lot of past with his friend Ivan. Before meeting Nea and well after meeting her, Meekeh was seemingly the only person that Ivan considered a person when the number increased to two during his one year stay in Elisbonear.
Aki Ito: -
A young child who lost one hand and her mother in a hospital accident. She is the daughter of Yasumichi Ito and tries her best to help him after losing her mother. She holds Ivan in high regard and sees him as the person who is both her and her father's savior. She sees him as an elder brother and goes to great length to win his favor. She likes spicy things.
Runaway Murderer Ghost Girl: -
An auburn haired child who was found and helped by Aki Ito in the dungeon of Gluttony in Ebon. She was found with bloodied clothes and blood soaked hands in a tree house. She doesn't react to things but is slowly getting her emotions back, largely thanks to Aki and her welcomeness. Ivan is constantly annoyed by the look in her eyes which to him seem to scream of wanting death. She has only spoken on 2 occasions thus far with only 5 words.
