Chapter 2: 2 being a kid again
my parents threw me a one year old birthday party.
that night after being washed and put to bed.
An image floated in my vision.

OK now I'm confused.
I get video games and RPG games just never played them. so what do I do with this? does everyone have this?
Since I'm a baby I can wait to see to figure it out.
5th birthday my big sis and mom go to tje nearby village to trade homemade goods for food.
that night after dinner Mom and dad present me with my first knife.
I decided to try something.
I practice knife fighting in my room.
Soon I hear a chime and my status shows up in my head

Cool a fighting skill.
Dad buys me a Child sized bow and I go near the garbage dump and shoot at bottles till I hear the ding again

I make a scarecrow like dummy and practice my knife as a dagger till I hear a ding
Dagger level 2
then practice my Archery again until level
apparently levels here are actually
made up of 10 sub sets.
level 1 is actually 1, 0/10
lvl 2, 0/20
lvl 3, 0/30
etc. so far
Let's say each of the 10 points of level 1 is 10 exp making 100 exp
then each point in level 2 is 20 exp.
3 is 30 hopefully.
I practice everyday and occasionally get to practice on huge insects and rodents in the trash dump.
These mutating insects and rodents are sometimes as big as a Labrador Retriever.
With my knife I carve a practice sword and get a carving skill.
I am only Physically 5 buy mentally..
OK I died at almost 30 so I'm actually 35 mentally at least.
with my appraisal I can see the mutant creatures and regular ones. as well as the status of everybody in our little community.
I believe I'm the only one that can level up and aquire skills like I do.
It would look bad if I actually and actively hunted through the trash for mutants at 5 years old so I just wait for them to show up while playing (training) with my Bow, knife and sword ( stick).
There's only 4 other children that I can play with, my sis Amanda 2years older her friend Tammy 3 years older then Joey and Amy 1 year older.
Not a large community at all.
The others don't give dad or mom any grief about us controlling the shelter.
Grandma and Grandpa opened it first apparently with military cut backs it was abandoned and getting ready to be sealed when IT happened. My grandparents owned all of the farm land around it so they new about it.
and being quite far from any big cities ensured we only got the residual effects of any fallout from any nuclear and mass driven weapons.
We only had to deal with failing air conditioning and Raiders, zombie type undead, wild and mutated animals etc.
we've lost a few dozen families and other settlers during the time of my grandparents.
We've accumulated quite a stash of various weapons and supplies from dead Raiders and bartering our wheat and goats we farm with other communities and villages.
while we can make alcohol to run our equipment we cant make any other fuel nor can we mill replacement parts. Yeah everything is running down and wearing out slowly but surely.
No central governments as far as we know so every community makes up it's own laws.
10th birthday party I received an actual long Dagger and molds and other equipment to make metal arrow heads.
a small set up not an actual smithy.
I have learned along with Archery also fletcher and smelting.
