Chapter 241: I know that too

A pitiful inn worker stood over Chen Anyue, frantic as she flailed around and muttered desperately, hoping to catch the young lady's attention. 

But Chen Anyue merely lay there without response, her body contorted amidst the debris. 

The door burst open. Both Liu Sumeng and Yuan Xuelan rushed inside and right to Chen Anyue's side.

"Shijie!" Yuan Xuelan felt something catch in his throat, looking down on the damage done to his Shijie's body. The left leg was twisted the wrong direction and the spike that jutted out her right arm drew a red blossom that seeped into her robes and onto the floor.

A crowd began to gather, children muttering as they looking over the damaged railing from the second floor.
