Chapter 2: The Beginning

Three years have passed since that fateful day when my life took a dramatic turn. I am now sixteen years old, and the memories of the events that unfolded three years ago still remain vivid in my mind. It was the day my sister, Trish, activated her extraordinary abilities to save me from a near-death situation.

As a kid, I always dreamt of being a hero, inspired by the daring feats I saw on television. I loved trying dangerous stunts, ignoring the warnings meant for trained athletes. My thirst for excitement and danger earned me the reputation of a daredevil among my peers.

On that particular day, I found myself on the rooftop of our bungalow, preparing to attempt a risky skateboard trick - a 360 backspin. How I got up there remains a mystery, even to me. But as I lost my footing, I began hurtling towards the ground at a terrifying speed. Trish's voice pierced the air as she screamed my name in panic.

With my head facing the ground, I closed my eyes, bracing for the impact that seemed inevitable. However, just before I hit the ground, I felt a force catching me mid-air. My momentum came to a sudden stop, and when I cautiously opened my eyes, I found myself surrounded by a bright light. To my astonishment, Trish had sprouted white wings and her eyes emitted a mesmerizing glow. She used her newfound abilities to create an illusion of giant hands that held me suspended in the air.

The sudden intervention did not go unnoticed, and the sound of breaking glass drew my attention to my mother. She looked shocked but quickly regained her composure, hurriedly taking both Trish and me into the house. She urged us to pack our belongings, claiming that we were going on a vacation. I sensed her unease and suspected she was concealing the real reason for our hasty departure.

I decided to follow my mother secretly to eavesdrop on her conversation with my father. From their conversation, I learned that we had been discovered, and my mother had sealed our powers to protect us from being tracked by angels and demons. She revealed how Trish had unintentionally activated her angelic abilities, and my father seemed frightened by the news.

In a rush, we gathered our belongings, but my father left hastily, never to return. I inquired about his whereabouts, and my mother, with tears in her eyes, explained that he had urgent visitors to attend to. I could sense the sorrow in her voice, and little did I know that it would be the last time I saw my father, sister, and mother together.

As we hurried away, hand in hand, my mother eventually stopped and turned to me. Tearfully, she instructed me to go to the orphanage, promising to come back for me. I knew she said this to protect me, but I didn't want to burden her with my worries. So, I smiled back, pretending to be oblivious to the gravity of the situation. I wanted her to focus on keeping herself and my big sis Trish safe.

And so, I parted ways with my family, uncertain of what the future held for us. The events of that day shaped my life in ways I could never have imagined. With an IQ rating of 130, I always knew I was smart, but I had no idea how crucial that intelligence would become in the days that followed.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. I found myself living in the orphanage, trying to adapt to my new life. But the memories of that day and the questions about my family's fate never left my mind. I knew I had to find them and uncover the truth behind their sudden disappearance.

My thirst for adventure and my natural intelligence led me to delve into research about extraordinary abilities, angels, and demons. I discovered a hidden world beyond what I had known, a realm where individuals possessed incredible powers and secrets were kept locked away.

Determined to find my family and unlock the truth behind their powers, I honed my intellectual prowess and began formulating a plan. I knew that to navigate this unknown world, I needed allies and information which I was lacking because I have no way to access neither of those .

As I stood there, feeling defeated and hopeless in my search for clues about my family, a sudden glimmer of hope appeared before me. A peculiar figure materialized right in front of me, revealing a small imp-like demon with horns adorning its head. My curiosity piqued, I approached the creature cautiously.

To my astonishment, the little imp claimed to know the whereabouts of my dad, mum, and sister. Intrigued and desperate for any lead, I eagerly asked where I could find them. The imp chuckled mischievously before divulging that they could be found in a dark alley in downtown.

Despite my skepticism about the imp's credibility, I couldn't resist the temptation to investigate. I felt a sense of urgency and longing to reunite with my family, and this lead, no matter how dubious, was all I had.

As I ventured into the depths of downtown, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched. The streets were dimly lit, and shadows seemed to dance around me, playing tricks on my mind. I reminded myself that my intellect and instincts had always served me well, and I needed to be cautious.

As I approached the dark alley, my heart pounded in my chest. I wondered what awaited me there - whether it was a trap or a genuine reunion with my family. My emotions were in turmoil, torn between hope and fear.

Suddenly, I heard footsteps behind me, and a surge of adrenaline coursed through my veins. I turned around to find a mysterious Creature that uses his head to walk with his legs above in the air. The creature had a gruesome look and it had sharp cutting pointed claws with blood dripping from his head and hands.

Looking at the gruesome scene, my human instinct kicked in, compelling me to run away, which I did. However, the creature relentlessly chased after me, catching up with me swiftly. In a swift and vicious motion, it stabbed me in the back with its sharp, pointed claws, the pain piercing through my heart.

The monster showed no mercy, reveling in its act of killing humans, and its haunting laughter echoed in my ears. Each stab felt like a blade slicing through my being, draining the life from me. As my vision blurred and my consciousness began to fade, I knew that my life was slipping away.

The relentless stabbing continued, pushing me closer to the brink of death. With every passing moment, my consciousness grew weaker, and I felt my soul slipping away. And then, at last, I surrendered my final breath, succumbing to the darkness as death claimed me.
