Chapter 7: Loguetown
HAHAHAHA IM BACK FROM THE FUCKING DEAD BOYS! ANYWAY Lets get back to the chapter.. also I see why having multiple books can be an issue! BUT I have my own special little project in the works its my baby a completely original story! Not based on an anime.. well.. hmm.. I guess you can say its special and its not mainly about anime, you'll see when it starts publishing! I'm only at around 20k words for it now and I want to start posting when It gets to around 150-300k words. I'm thinking of 5 chapters to start at 1k words each then 1 chap every 2 days? It'll put it on a time or something like that.. ANYWAY BACK TO ZEUS AND HIS ADVENTURE! WOOOOOOOOOO!
Zeus: Finally.. I've been waiting on Cocoyasi island for a fucking month you piece of shit author!
Me: Hey! Fuck you man, I can delete you if I want, don't test me!
Zeus: ...

Zeus was sitting on the deck of the Merry eating tangerines next to Nami, who was sunbathing. A Newsgull flew over and landed next to Nami, who paid the Newgull and said angrily "You're upping the prices?!" the Newsgull squawked and nodded while Zeus shot her a look saying "Oi, Orange! Stop being so stingy, who's going to marry you in the future if you cant even pay a bird an extra 100 beri?" he shook his head disappointingly as if he was actually a suitor.
Nami grit her teeth and glared at him while Sanji swooned over saying "I will Nami-Swaaaaaaaaaaaan!" Nami kicked him away and Zeus laughed, she grabbed the newspaper and paid the newsgull, who squawked again and flew away.
She opened the newspaper and screeched, Zeus covered his ears and muttered "Definitely going to spend the rest of your life alone..." before receiving a slap and being sent flying across the deck. The rest of the crew ignored Zeus and surrounded Nami wondering what she was screaming about, she pointed to the bounty paper and Luffy laughed saying "Cool! I got a bounty! It's 30 million!"
Zeus showed up again and nodded saying "Strongest in the east blue, pretty good kiddo!" Luffy grinned and Zeus flashed away from the rubber fist before chuckling "You'll have to do better than that boy! Shishishishi" Luffy chased Zeus around the ship as they slowly sailed towards Loguetown.
A while later
The Merry landed at Loguetown and the crew got off, Zeus stood on the figure head and caressed Merry softly as he said "Hey Merry, you have to keep my secret okay?" Merry didn't move but Zeus could've sworn he saw the Merry nod, he chuckled to himself and rubbed the bottom of his mask as he said "Maybe we can reinforce you or something..."
He looked down at the Merry's head and muttered "I'll try my best Merry but I'm no shipwright.." the Merry buzzed and Zeus sighed before flashing off the ship and walking the streets of Loguetown. He stepped on the streets and picked up a little girl before pulling her back, the little girl looked up and saw Zeus' mask before seeing Smoker behind him.
Zeus said "Watch out little girl, this guy behind me likes Ice cream a lot! He might just steal it from you!" Smoker snapped "What does that mean?!" Zeus looked at him and said "You almost ran into this little girl Smokey, this is what I'm talking about." he shook his head and continued "If you went on a date every once in a while, you wouldn't be so high strung."
The civilians held their mouths and scurried away as Smoker's forehead was filling up with veins. Zeus put the little girl down and patted her head as he smiled and said softly "Enjoy your Ice cream! Remember to watch out for Ice cream thieves in the future!" the little girl giggled and said "Thank you Uncle!" before skipping away with her Ice Cream.
Zeus smiled as she left and sighed softly, he cleared his messy thought and turned around to Smoker. He gave him a big shit-eating grin and called down his cloud before pulling out a box of cigars and sending it back up. He waved the box in front of Smoker and said "Your Office?"
Smoker took a deep breath and snatched the box before walking towards the Marine building, Zeus followed him with a grin. On their way there, Luffy bumped into Smoker and Zeus, he grinned and said "Hey Kurama!" Zeus grinned back, luckily he wore a mask because they would look exactly the same at the moment.
Luffy said "Do you know where the Execution Platform is?" Smoker made a trail of smoke and said "Follow it to the center of the city." Luffy thanked him and left, as soon as he left a marine officer ran up and said "Captain, Lieutenant!" the duo looked at the Marine and he held up a bounty, it was Luffy's.
Zeus chuckled and Smoker bit his cigar in half before glaring at Zeus, who held up his hands and said "What can I say? I have a gift for Photography." Smoker punched at him and screamed "You bastard! Why didn't you say anything!?"
Zeus punched his palm and said seriously "I must've forgot." the marine officer almost spit out blood, what do you mean you forgot?! Smoker felt the same way and snarled before running after Luffy, Zeus leisurely followed behind the two while lighting a cigarette. He followed Smoker to 'Roger's Bar' and sat down next to him, in the place Luffy just was and said "Hey gramps! Whiskey on the rocks!"
The old man was in a bad mood seeing two marines and said "We don't serve your kind around here." Zeus laughed and said "C'mon gramps! How am I supposed to do my job if I'm sober?" Smoker said from the side "You didn't do your job just now."
Zeus leaned his head on his hand, resting his elbow on the bar counter as he said "Smokey, sometimes you just gotta let pirates escape. It's more fun that way! Plus.." he pointed to Luffy's bounty poster on the wall and said "This kid's pretty interesting don't you think?" as he exhaled a mouthful of smoke.
Smoker growled as he drank from his glass, taking the whiskey from the shelf himself. Zeus was offended he didn't pour himself any and snatched the bottle away before pouring his own glass as Smoker said "Our job is to catch pirates not let them escape! They're criminals!"
Zeus sneered and said "And the marines are the good guys?" Smoker was silent and looked at Zeus, who turned to the old man and said "Gramps what's your take on this debate?" the old man was cleaning a cup behind the bar counter and said "I don't like marines, a bunch of rats if you ask me."
Zeus clapped and nodded while laughing "That's right!" he stopped and continued seriously "Some of these marines take their status for granted and abuse it to high heaven. Real fucking scum." Smoker noticed the seriousness and said "What happened?" Zeus looked at the old man who was curious as well and drank from his glass as he said solemnly "You know Marine Base E-4?" Smoker nodded and Zeus explained what he saw there to the two of them.
The two were disgusted and Zeus spat angrily "I still have to call Sadi to make sure they beg for death. Those girls didn't deserve any of that!" he drained his cup in one go and filled it up again, Smoker clenched his fist and the old man sighed. Zeus took a drag from his cigarette, calming his emotions before saying lightly "The marines need a through cleansing, and half of the whole marine corps is completely corrupt. What a fucking joke." he chuckled "Not my problem though." as he drank from his glass.
Smoker said "How is it not your problem?!" Zeus laughed and said "I'm just a small lieutenant with no special qualities or power." he sighed pitifully as if it was someone else who had one of the strongest devil fruits in the world. Smoker was getting more annoyed each second talking to Zeus and decide to leave saying "Thanks Old man."
Zeus watched him go and turned to the old man when he was gone before saying "Strange kid, that Strawhat eh?" the old man chuckled and nodded "I can see Roger's shadow on him." Zeus smiled lightly and said "Yeah, he's a special one for sure..." Zeus finished his cup and slapped down the money for the booze before removing his mask and winking at the old man while saying "Thanks Gramps, see you someday. Shishishshishishi" and leaving, his laughter echoing in the bar as the old man was stunned.
The old man smiled wryly and muttered "Kids these days are getting stranger and stranger.." before grinning "But it's more interesting that way" he laughed as he cleaned up the bar.
Zeus sat on a building, that was surrounding the execution platform, and started eating some popcorn, ready to watch the show. He definitely wasn't going to miss this moment. He watched as Luffy got pinned down on the platform and Buggy hang a knife over his head, strangely enough Zeus was extremely nervous at this moment.
His mind was spinning extremely fast with anxiety as he prepared to save Luffy at any moment, despite knowing what would happen in the future, he was still Luffy's brother in blood. He was worried that something would go wrong.
He watched as Luffy smiled and said "Zoro, Sanji, Usopp, Nami! Sorry! I died!" as Buggy swung down with his sword. Zeus' heart was in his throat as he channeled red lightning around himself and was about to shoot forward when lightning struck the platform. Zeus collapsed on the roof of a building and smiled wryly as he noticed the cold sweat on his back, he muttered "Seems like destiny can't be changed.." he let out a breath of relief and smiled to himself as he watched the events that followed.
Little did Zeus know that his words were all too true, sometimes destiny and fate are unchangeable factors... No matter how much you fight against it...
Zeus followed Luffy, Sanji, and Zoro from the roof tops and watched with a amusement as they fought Smoker and Tashigi. He smiled lightly and watched as Dragon stepped in to save Luffy before disappearing.
Zeus was standing on a rooftop watching Luffy and his crew escape Loguetown when someone appeared behind him and said "You let pirates escape?" Zeus turned around and said "And?" Dragon had a straight face as he said "Kurama, the 'Lightning Fox'.. What's your goal following Strawhat?"
Zeus said lightly "You're worried about your son now, despite not being there at all?" as he turned around and stared at the sea, Dragon was alarmed and said coldly "Who are you?!" Zeus chuckled and took off his mask before facing dragon again with a smile. Dragon's eyes widened and he said "You're alive?!" Zeus sighed "You thought I was dead and you didn't do anything for me?" he was sad but Dragon flashed in front of him and hugged him tightly.
Zeus was shocked and couldn't react in time, it seemed Dragon was much stronger than he thought. Dragon squeezed Zeus and said "I'm so glad! When I heard you were missing I searched almost every Island in the east blue! But I couldn't find you..." Zeus felt his head got wet and looked up to see Dragon crying with a smile.
Zeus choked up and said "I thought.." Dragon stroked his head and said softly "Don't worry, how could I not do anything? I'm happy you're alive!" Zeus smiled and teared up as he hugged Dragon back, the warmth of a family was something he barely had in his last life but here, in this world, he had more than he could ever ask for.
After a while the two separated and Dragon smiled as he sat down and took out some alcohol saying "Come, tell me what happened over the years!" Zeus smiled excitedly and sat down before talking about his time at the marine base with Garp as well as the training and about his adventure following Luffy and his crew, even the bad parts. Dragon laughed, shuddered, and was angry throughout Zeus' narration.
Zeus smiled lightly and said "Lu has pretty good crewmates, very loyal. Unfortunately..." Dragon said with a smile "You want to be with him?" Zeus nodded but sighed as he said "I do but I can't. The moment I leave the marines, they'll hunt me down and Lu's not strong enough yet."
Dragon nodded and said "You can come to the Revolutionaries, were not afraid of the marines." Zeus shook his head and said "I'm not suitable for the revolutionaries.." he chuckled embarrassingly and scratched his head saying "I'm pretty high profile aha.."
Dragon laughed and patted his shoulder "That's true! I remember hearing about a criminal you caught in the grandline! You wiped out a whole forest just to catch him! Shishishishishishishi!" Zeus' face turned red as he defended "He was hiding in a tree! I had too!" Dragon laughed even harder and fell over, Zeus just sat there and drank his drink angrily.
Dragon recovered and wiped his eyes before saying softly "I'm proud of you, you've grown up Zeus. Your mother..." he sighed sadly and continued "She would've been proud of you too." Zeus went silent and drank from his glass before saying quietly "Why did she die."
Dragon hesitated for a moment before saying "It's not that I don't want to tell you, but you're not strong enough to know yet. I'm sorry." Zeus took a deep breath and nodded before saying "When will you tell me?" Dragon drained his glass and threw an eternal pose at Zeus as he said "When you want to know, go there and I'll tell you." Zeus opened his mouth but Dragon cut him off and said seriously "Zeus. Listen to me, this isn't some laughing matter. If you do go be prepared to stay for a while, I suggest you come when you have nowhere else to do. Have I made myself clear?"
He was very stern towards the end of his sentence and Zeus realized this as well, so he nodded and said "Crystal, dad." Dragon smiled and stood up, he walked over to Zeus and bright him up before hugging him again and saying "Be safe, I'll be watching you." Zeus smiled and nodded, Dragon laughed and disappeared saying "Next time I see you I better see a daughter-in-law!"
Zeus turned green and yelled "You damn old man!" but all he got was laughter in response. Zeus shook his head with a smile and put his mask back on before looking out to the sea in the direction of reverse mountain. He called his cloud down and put the eternal pose inside before sending it back up. He picked up the alcohol and flashed away from the roof top.
Zeus sat down in a chair in Smoker's office and lit a cigarette as Smoker glared at him angrily, Zeus looked over and said "What's up?" Smoker snapped "Where have you been?!" Zeus said "I was at a cooking competition." Smoker was livid and almost killed Zeus "A cooking Competition?! Did you not see the commotion at the platform?!"
Zeus pretended to be an idiot and said "No what happened?" Smoker growled and called Sengoku "Smoker here. Permission to leave Loguetown?" Sengoku said "What happened?" Zeus spoke "Smokey let some pirates escape and he wants to chase 'em! So do I! Need to show the rookies what a good marine is like! So let us go, thanks gramps!" Sengoku choked on his saliva and Smoker was silent, agreeing with Zeus in this one instance.
Sengoku sighed and said "Fine, I need to clean up the E-4 base anyway, I'll send someone to take over. You can leave." he muttered quietly "Not like you would have stayed if I said no anyway...." Smoker and Zeus both coughed embarrassingly and Zeus said "Send someone who's not a waste of oxygen please." Sengoku sighed and hung up.
Zeus chuckled and said "I'll go first, they should be near reverse mountain at the moment, I'll give you updates on where they are." Smoker gave him a look and Zeus said angrily "Hey! I'm innocent okay?! I just like to play around!" Smoker sighed and said "Go." Zeus grinned and walked to the door as he was leaving Smoker added "Good luck."
Zeus paused for a second and said softly "You're a good friend Smokey." before closing the door and leaving the building, Smoker smiled slightly as Zeus left.
Zeus was in the air and riding his cloud towards Luffy's crew, he finally found them just as they got swallowed by Laboon. He cursed his bad luck and hovered above the Lighthouse Island to take a nap on his cloud, waiting for them to come out so he can stal- arrest them.
