Chapter 6: It Wasn't An Accident

It took Lin Yan the whole night to realize her new life, she decided to just go with the flow. After getting discharged from the hospital the next day, she thought no one would pick her up and she would have to go home alone but she was surprised when she saw Li Lingyun personal assistant standing in front of her as he said "Young Master Li has asked me to escort you home.".

Lin Yan sighed, now she would have to live in Sun Villa with that terrifying man. When Gu Wei arrived at the Villa, she was somehow shocked to see how homely it looked. Lin Yan and even the rest of the Li family apart from the Old master has never been to Sun Villa and to be honest, she expected it to be huge like all the other Li's mansion.

Lin Yan looked at Gu Wei and asked "Why didn't he buy a large house?"

At first Gu Wei was surprised by her question, normally Shen Yi would never speak to him, because she regarded him as a servant and why does she suddenly care if master live in a small or big house? Nevertheless, he still answered her question because he felt it was a part of his duty "Little Miss like playing a lot and the thought of her hding in a place he couldn't find her made him to decide this. Of course you would know this if you paid attention to your daughter."

Lin Yan could feel the hostility coming from him and she was not surprised, it was no secret that Shen Yi despised her child. But wait! Now that she is in Shen Yi body does that mean Li Xiao is going to be her daughter. She has always wanted a child on her own so when she was pregnant she was very happy but now she lost her child and has been given Li Xiao.

Gu Wei left after dropping Lin Yan off. Entering the Sun Villa, she could feel the hostility in the eyes of the maids even as they greeted her.

The Villa was very pretty, The living room was spacious but Lin Yan was confused about one thing she did not know where her room was. She looked at one of the maids who were cleaning the living room and asked "Can you walk me up to my room.?"

The maid nodded and left after showing Lin Yan her room. Lin Yan looked at the room and sighed. The room was very big and beautiful. There was a dressing table but when she looked at the big bed, she remembered Li Jun.

Before they got married, anytime she visited Li Jun house, he would say the bed was so big and that he couldn't sleep alone. Even though she knew it was a lie, she still played along and the both of them will sleep on the same day and cuddled. That memory bought a sad smile to her face, the truth was that she wanted revenge but she also just wanted to live a peaceful life but she knew how impossible it is because now she Li Lingyun's wife.

Lin Yan looked at the TV in her room and then a thought came to her mind as she turned it on. She stood there frozen as she heard the news "Just yesterday, the wife of Li Jun, the vice president of the Li Corporation was involved in an accident in front of the Li Corporation and it was said she died on the spot. But that is not all, this morning the police found the driver who was responsible for the accident. He was found dead in his house, the information released by the police was that he committed sucide after finding out the identity of the woman he killed, he wrote a sucide note asking the Li family for forgiveness and that his family shouldn't suffer for his sins since he has already paid with his life."

Lin Yan sighed as she heard the news about her death, she wondered why the driver had to kill himself, she knew it was an accident and there was no need for him to go that far.

And then she wondered what Li Jun would be doing right now.

Would he be crying and suffering in pain or would he be with his mistress who already has a child for him? Then her heart ache as she thought of her twin brother Li An. How will he cope, they have been together since birth. Her tears flowed as she thought of her devastated her brother would be about the news of her death.

In a well furnished apartment, a young man was sitting down as he watch the news, his eyes held no emotions, it was as if he was in a daze and all of a sudden he burst out in laughter as tears flowed down from his eyes. His laughter turned to heart wrenching tears. Then suddenly he stood up and wiped his tears, he left his apartment with coldness in his eyes.

Lin Yan opened her eyes and saw that it was night already, she didn't even remember the time she slept. She felt thirsty and a little hungry, so she decided to find her way to the kitchen, she walked downstairs but stopped when she heard voices coming from a slightly opened door. She wondered if Li Lingyun was back already, she wanted to avoid him as much as possible but Lin Yan has always been a curious person, so hearing voices she decided to just eavesdrop a little.

"I'm impressed at how Li Jun handled the situation. He made it look like the driver committed sucide." Li Lingyun said coldly.

"Even though he was cheating on her, I thought he loved her. I never expected him to cover up the crimes of his mistress knowing she was responding for his wife accident. Do you want to reveal the truth?" Gu Wei asked. To be honest he felt sad for Lin Yan she was a good woman and she didn't deserve what happened to her.

Li Lingyun smiled and said "There is no need. Lin Yan death is not my concern anyways. Did they do an autopsy on her."

"No, especially because she was pregnant before she died."

"She was pregnant?" Li Lingyun asked He was actually surprised that Lin Yan was pregnant seeing the way how calm Li Jun was when he met him.

"Yes, but for some reason Li Jun refused to make that public."

"He plans to marry Fang Min. You know Gu Wei, even I thought he loved Lin Yan but my nephew didn't disappoint me."

"Will you attend Mrs Li funeral."

Li Lingyun was quiet for a brief seconds before saying "No, there is no need for that. Lin Yan was a good woman the only mistake she made was believing a man like Li Jun loved her, she should never have married him."

"But if Li Jun never loved Lin Yan then why did he marry her?" Gu Wei asked. Up till now he was confused about this fact.

"That was because he thought I...." Before Li Lingyun could complete his sentence he heard a noise outside the door.

Lin Yan who felt cold after hearing her accident wasn't really an accident didn't even realize that she had made a noise. She felt like she had no more tears to cry and for some reason the fact that Li Jun never really loved her didn't hurt her heart as it should and she wondered why?

All of a sudden, the door opened and she heard a cold voice asking "Since when have you been interested in eavesdropping on my conversation?"
