Chapter 2: 1. A glimpse of former life.
His eyes settle on the younger, making a gentle smile creep upto his lips as he admires the younger who's engaged in taking orders and greeting the comers with his genuine signature bunny smile.
From behind the counter, he exhales a deep sigh of satisfaction, his arms crossed over his chest in a proud gesture, his eyes following every moment of the younger.
"Ahh hyung, would you please prepare these orders? I need to attend other customers." Jungkook politely asks, exhibiting his front bunny teeth on show. Jungkook's raven hairs are parted from the middle resembling the another but younger wears piercings and elder doesn't.
"Sure kookie." Taehyung nods with a smile uttering his nickname he loves to use and takes hold of the order list. Jungkook smiles and scampers off to attend the couple that has just walked inside the cafe, lovingly holding their hands and every now and then looking at each other, their eyes glistening with affection and care.
"Jimin-ah, help me in preparing this." Taehyung calls out for his another companion who joins the latter in no second and roams his eyes over the orders.
"I'll prepare Hot chocolate. You go with Dalgona coffee." The new short male proposes pressing his lips into a thin line and taehyung instantly nods in agreement before they two hastily initiate to complete their assigned task.
Taehyung slowly manoeuvres the spoon in the coffee mugs, admiring the younger who's performing his work with so much passion laden in his words and motions.
"And What would you like to eat Miss?!" Taehyung hears Jungkook ask with a warm giggle lifting his eyes from the paper as he's done writting the male's order.
"I would go with whatever you'll bring. So surprise me." The girl replies, returning his warm smile and looking at him into the eye. This just makes his bunny smile appear and instantly widen on his face.
Taehyung can see, the girl's intimacy with Jungkook is upsetting the male sitting across her but he knows Jungkook and the girl aren't flirting. Jungkook invariably politely converses with the customers and she's just replying back the resembling vibes.
"I surely will." Jungkook chuckles, not being able to hold back his reddened cheeks. He always gets red whenever people look at him in the eye and smile.
"Taehyung-ah you done?" Jimin questions, bringing the latter out of his reverie and compelling him to look down at the coffee mug he was framing designs in.
"Umm, Almost." Is all Taehyung speaks before stirring the spoon for one more time and drawing it out of the coffee mug leaving a ravishing and pleasant designs in the couple of cups.
"I'll go serve them." Jimin offers and after arranging the prepared beverages on the elegantly spangled trays, sneaks his way out and places them down on their assigned tables greeting every customer with his adorable eye smile.

"Hyung, we are running out of some of the groceries. We don't have much left. We'll exhaust these all soon." Jungkook informs the other two of his elders, discharging out from the store after successfully finishing his inspection tour of all the grocery reserved in the cafe.
"One of us will need to go and buy them instantly and since Jin hyung is not here, Jimin will have to stay here. Then it's either you and me." Taehyung announces after counting all the important points.
"I'll go, buy them. It's raining heavily. Probably anyone will come so there won't be much orders to collect." Jungkook volunteers unhesitantly without any second thought.
"You are right." Taehyung whispers swiping his gaze at the rain pattering on the glass doors before the rain droplets trail down leaving a freshly formed path of water behind for another to follow.
Grabbing an umbrella, Jungkook walks towards the door. His slender fingers wrap around the door knob to push it open but someone grabs his wrist before not letting him do so.
"Hyung, What happened?!" Jungkook asks perplexed as he turns around only to find Taehyung holding his wrist.
Elapses, agony and anguish suddenly through taehyung's nerves and he feels a striking unbearable pain pierce his head.
● Former life
Taehyung grabs the latter hand who's about to step out of the house leaving him alone in the thunder and intense downpour.
The male turns around only to witness taehyung looking at him with his irresistible imploring eyes, pouting his lower lip.
"Taehyung-ah, I'll come within no time, huh?!" The male affectionately cups the Taehyung's cheeks and tries to persuade his lover who's being adorable and childlike just because he wants the male to cuddle with him.
"Please don't go, I lost someone so close to me in the rain just like this. Now I don't want you to loose this." Taehyung eyes brim up with tears as he wraps his arms around the male's waist, pressing his cheek against the latter's chest and lets the male know his worries.
"Okay, I won't go and remember you will never loose me. I'll stay with you. Always and forever." The latter's affectionately assures taehyung planting a kiss on his hairs and leans him into a warm hug.

"Hyung, hyung?!" Jungkook voice brings Taehyung back to the real world as his arms stay wrap around the elder.
"I'll return as soon as possible. I'm so sorry to hear that you lost someone so close to you in such rain but remember I'll always stay with you. Forever. Promise?!" Jungkook holds out his pinky as they both pull back. Without contemplating what's happening so far Taehyung intertwines his pinky with the younger's and they seal their promise.
And with that, Jungkook opens his umbrella and steps out of the cafe. Taehyung stands dumbfounded, by the door, trying to remember what he has done.
"Why are you being an overdramatic ass?" Jimin scoffs from behind, his eyes completely lost in his laughter. Perplexed, the latter turns around. The uncontrollable laughter of Jimin wrecking his nerves even more.
"What do you mean?" Taehyung raises a brow at his blonde haired companion who's not seeming to turn normal any soon.
"You just told Jungkook that you lost someone so important to you in thunder and rain like this. Taehyung-- " Jimin pauses, as he laughs out of breathe holding his stomach.
"Taehyung, I'm with you since you used to wear diapers and I don't remember anyone close to you who died in rain. You even hugged jungkook and sobbed into his chest." Taehyung watches his childhood friend cackle off even more.
"I knew you have always liked Jungkook and will not let go any chance to hug him but you didn't have to fake someone's death to hug him." Jimin is laughing to tears.
"Jimin, I don't like Jungkook." Refusing, Taehyung indignantly stomps back to the counter pondering that he obviously said those things but not to Jungkook. It was someone else, someone he knows but the face he spoke to, he has never seen that.
Jimin was right he didn't lose anyone close to him in the rain but why did he say that? Taehyung mulls over. He feels like those words weren't his. As if they were forced and flew out of his mouth on their own.
