After that talk in the car, Yusheng distanced himself from Huiyin, the only time they spoke was when he'd got their wedding license. He felt too guilty around Huiyin so he tried to spend as little time as possible around her. That didn't stop him from eating the food she prepared for him separately every day.
Around this period in the novel, Murong Meilin and Mu Weisheng had found a loose end within the Long Clan and plotted a spy among the smaller bosses under Long Yusheng. Because of this, the Long Clan suffered a huge blow and made many losses. It was a tricky event. To make matters worse Yusheng didn't even know it was Murong Meilin and continued to get close to her.
Huiyin knew that it was coming up she just didn't know the exact details of the whole scheme if she did she would be able to help Yusheng more. Huiyin planned to used her Cupid Coins to open a hidden scene so that she can find out how to stop those damned protagonists. After the dinner with the Long family, she'd only earned six Cupid Coins. She could have earned more if the Matriarch and Patriarch liked her but the relationship with them had to be cultivated slowly, as of right now they still think her a loose girl with no proper educating. Huiyin would change that in the future.

"Host's available balance is 18CC, what do you want?" Huiyin felt that this Systems operator was a bit off. Why was he always so grumpy with her? She was the one who was paired with him, she was the one reluctant, alright?! If he didn't change his attitude they would have a problem!
"Hidden Scene, show me what those two troublesome protagonists are planning for Yusheng."
"Hidden Scene costs 13 CC. Do you still want to proceed with this transaction?" Huiyin wanted to spit blood! Initially, she was feeling happy because the CC she was awarded was quite a high amount, even though it only equalled 18CC. That was the reward of completing only two tasks! Who knew that hidden scenes actually cost so much? She'd worked hard for those Cupid Coins, alright! Huiyin felt majorly wronged. This was clearly slavery, right? Making her work like a machine only to suck her bank dry!
"Hidden Scene unlocked. Current available balance is 5 Cupid Coins. Does Host wish to open scene now?"
"Yes." The loss of thirteen Cupid Coins made Huiyin's heart bleed. All that hard work... ah!

"Mr Mu, have you managed to draw that person to this side?" A scene of Murong Meilin strutting into a large grand office appeared in Huiyin's mind.
"No need. He was originally planted into the Long Clan by the chief of police but that Long gangster had found fault with him and... That person was left with no instructions and climbed the ranks in passing and was able to work closely with that Long gangster. I was able to pull some strings and reminded him of his duties." A meaningful smile graced his face.
"And darling, shouldn't you change your form of address. You should stop playing hard to get. You know how easy I can get y-" Ah! Ah! Where was the skip button, she didn't want to listen to them flirt.
"Stop playing around. Did he agree on a meeting?" She lightly pushed him away with a blush on her cheeks. Huiyin was disgusted. Murong Meilin was meant to be the usual extremely formidable one-in-a-millennium beauty demoness. In novels like this, why did they always bend to the will of those overly-possessive, Black-bellied, crazy, rich guys? Humph! It was too fake for her liking! Anyways, she had to stop going off topic or she will miss something important.
"En. Mr Qin, enter." A tall muscled man with tattoos up and down his arms walked in. His heavy footsteps seemed to make the ground tremble. It was Qin Yang! Huiyin didn't get herself too involved with Yusheng's business, she didn't think her conscience would be able to take it. But that didn't mean that she was not a little familiar with some of them. Qin Yang controlled two large cities and was in control with a lot of trade. If anything went wrong in that area Yusheng could lose a lot of profit and power. That would be very detrimental to the Long family considering how many people were waiting for their downfall.
"So, tell us. What idea do you have to offer?"
"Not offering a seat? I'll take one anyway." After spending two years in Long Clan Qin Yang had adopted some of their rude behaviours, "You know I control trade. I can tamper with products which can lead to major losses. Recently, the Boss had taken in a wife. She is already four months pregnant, so kidnap her. Use her as a distraction so while all this is happening he won't be able to focus, using this time of confusion to strike."
"Me?" Huiyin was baffled. In the previous novel, Huiyin never gets kidnapped! Does she look easy to bully? To casually plan to kidnap her, wasn't this a direct slap to her face? She wouldn't take this lying down! How dare they try to bully a pregnant woman and to even use her to harm her husband. Too cruel...
The life of a Cannon Fodder is really too hard ah...
"That wife of his... How do you know he would care at all?" If they kidnapped the pregnant girl and Yusheng priorities his work... Won't they be the bad guys? Kidnapping is against the law...
"He dotes on her the most! The exact definition of yandere! He treats her coldly but everyone sees how he send the housekeeper to check-in on her all the time." Qin Yang snorted. That formidable Long Yusheng was really like this in front of a woman.
"I'll investigate on this issue myself..." Murong Meilin declared. She had a close relationship with Long Yusheng anyway.
"Sorted. This is your reward and this is the disc I want you to upload on the internet after all this is over." Two envelops were handed to Qin Yang.
