Chapter 8: It's About The Heart
Raven got to her room and locked the door immediately she got into it.
The three Angels turn to face her as she pants with sweat dripping down her face.
"What's wrong?" The guy that winked at her asks.
Raven keeps silent and anger fills her heart.
"If you have somewhere to take me to and I will never return, I think you take me there now" Raven's voice shows seriousness.
She means it.
Kancial stares at the broken Princess and smiles widely.
"That's what I wanna hear"
The two Angels smirk widely and the one that is the Blondie amongst the two walks up to her and touches her chin slightly.
"We've got you covered," he says with a wink and turns to face the window.
Immediately he face it, he flapped his wings once and dust rose from the ground. Though the dust isn't like smoke... It's golden in color.
With one flap, he flew out of the window into thin air. The next Angel went next.
"We've got your back, Princess," he says with a smile and Raven returns it gladly.
For someone to see a demon smile, that person will have to praise the Creator for making it happen, even if it's just for a second.
One flap, he's out of her room.
Kancial stares out of the window as the clouds of the heavens open and the two Angels wait for him and the lady to come out.
"It's your turn," he says and Raven immediately felt a pang of shame rise in her.
Her own dust is usually like smoke and...
"It's golden. Just believe that it will be" Kancial says and Raven bites her lower lip hard.
Okay, let's do this.
She flapped her wings once and the dust that rose from the ground appeared golden. Raven looks shocked now.
"Told you" Kancial whisper into her ears and she turned to him double shocked because she doesn't know when he left her caved out room to be by her side.
She smiles widely seeing him this close to her and when he realized how close he is now, his face turns bright pink.
"Thank you," she says with a smile and he nods.
They separated and then flap their wings once again and it skyrocketed them into the heavens with the other two following behind.
Raven gasped as her eyes landed on what is beyond the clouds on earth.
She turns to see Kancial and the others land on higher ground. She flaps her wings once again and stood in thin air. She then landed on the higher ground in the midst of the two young Angels.
While Kancial stood in front.
The brightness of the light that shows in front affects her eyes because she has not seen such brightness before but...
Now she does.
"This... This place is beautiful"
The flowers planted everywhere are singing joyfully with the birds in the sky and little rabbits that hop up and down everywhere.
Raven cannot believe her eyes right now.
"This place is wonderful" she whispers and looks around with Kancial right before her.
The birds are colorful. Beautiful. Wonderful. Excellent. And Magnificent.
"Is... Is this where you live?" she asks and the Angel on her right nods.
"Welcome Dear Princess, to the heavens above the earth"
Like the creatures in the heavens heard his voice, a joyful sound of a faint trumpet blaring broke through thin air, piercing into their ears.
They lead her deeper into the heavens and Raven appears shocked and astounded. She has never seen anything like all these before but now that she does, she is so amazed.
The heavens are magnificent and beautiful. This is a very good place to live in.
"I don't even know your names yet" Raven whisper unknowingly.
The two Angels look at themselves and smile and then at her.
The one that winked at her back at Hasma cleared his throat jokingly and then started to make a funny introduction.
"My name is Kidan. The Angel of Joy"
Kidan. It really fits his face and status. And that explains why he is always this funny.
"Joy... " an unfamiliar word ~ Raven thought.
Demons know no joy. They don't even know what happiness is.
All they know is pleasure. Sadness. Force. How to make people cry and eat from what they never labored for.
And she hates that.
That's why she left Hasma to somewhere more pleasant and to somewhere happiness is always available.
Heaven.
"I'm Kenny. The Angel of the light that subdues darkness"
Raven smiles like a little girl. This is new!
The light that subdues darkness! Awesome!
But then, something hits her.
"How come you're a Prince and the both of you aren't?"
Kidan and Kenny both look at Kancial and with the look he gave them, they both flew away to wherever they're headed to.
"Where are they going to?" Raven asks staring at them as they skyrocketed into thin air.
"Somewhere far off this place. Come, I want you to meet someone" Kancial says and flap his wings once and that sends him into thin air.
Raven does the same in that same belief that her dust will be golden.
They flew into a Castle. Like a golden Castle.
Raven's mouth opened wide in shock as she flap her wings, following Kancial closely behind.
He landed inside the Castle on high grounds through an opening that is recognized as a place where a King comes out to give announcements to his Kingdom.
Raven stayed in a position, flapping her wings and settling on thin air. She doesn't want to go in.
For fear that she might be a sinner in a Holy land.
Kancial face showed brightly from the height that he stood on and stared down at her.
"Are you coming?!" He asks
Raven shakes her head and started going back.
"I... I am not fit to be in there!"
"Oh God, can this Demon be a scared ass" He whispered.
Kancial jumped down the height he stood on and flapped his wings to maintain stability on air.
"Think of Repentance. Don't think about your fitness in this place... "
Raven stared straight at him. The distance between them has reduced a little.
"Because the Creator doesn't look at your fitness, he looks at the heart. What is in it!" he says and Raven felt numb immediately.
Why didn't she think of that, anyway?
"Forget your sins, Raven. Don't let it live with you, let it teach you. The Creator is waiting to see and forgive you"
Raven felt her heart rise again. His words can be so touching and encouraging at the same time.
"Take my hand... And fly with me"
Those words have never left her father's mouth before. Why is it this strange man?
Raven takes his hand and Kancial smiles widely.
She made the right decision.
