Chapter 2: Be Careful What You Wish For

Evelyn had always been fascinated with Suppernaturl beings. She would watch shows about them, read books about them, she even studied the lore of multiple different cultures to learn about every creature that existed.

Evelyn didn't want to own a pet unicorn, or kill a dragon. She simply wanted to study them, find out where there magic came from, how they thought, how they felt, how they saw the world.

As she grew older, her fascination grew and grew. Her mother had always found this fascination strange and upsetting, a odd phase she would eventually grow out of. Evelyn didn't feel that way at all.

"I told my mom it's not just a phase, and I don't need to be here." Evelyn pouted, lying down on the bed.

"Evelyn, your mom is simply trying to do what's best for you. Can you tell me why you believe so strongly in these creatures?" The doctor asked her in the typical know it all way doctors spoke in. The way they made you feel like everythibg you believed in was wrong, even though they said they were there to help.

Evelyn just sighed and rolled her eyes. She picked up a small squishy toy from the table beside her and threw it at the doctor. It bounced right off their head and into their lap.

"Evelyn."

The doctor said her name as if it was a threat, a warning of what would happen if she didn't behave.

"Just get out, I'm done with this shit for today." Evelyn just laid and stared at the ceiling, wondering how her mom could put her here.

"Evelyn, we've talked about this. I will be leaving you for today but we will be having an extra long chat tomorrow."

Evelyn watched as the doctor closed the door, and bolted up from her bed and ran over to the window. It was still as unescapable as last week.

Evelyn sighed and sat back down on her bed, feeling hopeless she closed her eyes and rested her head back.

* When will I ever get out of here? * She thought.

"Well don't give up hope yet."

An unfamiliar male voice rang in her ears and she sat up. A tall young man around her age was leaning against her wall in the corner of her room. He had bright red hair and sparkling green eyes accompanied by a mischievous smile. He was wearing a simple white t-shirt with blue jeans and a green hoodie.

"Who are you, and how did you get in my room?" She asked, feeling a rush of emotions. Could this finally be one of the suppernatural creatures she had been looking for for so long?

"A bout two mounths ago you tried summoning a lepercan to help you pass your mid terms right?" The man asked with a devious grin. "Well, I thought you needed the luck a bit more now. So here I am!"
