Chapter 49: Last Announcement
Alright I kinda feel bad writing this since some of you guys were really looking forward to the rewrite of this. I am completely dropping this. When I made my previous announcements I had both the time and the desire to rewrite this story however has time went on I both lost my interest in writing this and I lost a lot of my free time in my senior year of high school. At first I was excited about the rewrite and fixing all the big mistakes I made however as time went on and I thought about this story more and more everything just seems so bland and a little too complicated. When rereading my work the characters felt sorta bland and I kinda felt like I dropped too much info.
I realized that the way I wrote the story was probably not the best. Don't get me wrong I believe my concept for this story was great it's just how I went about it.
Anyways I started to dislike my whole idea of the story and just didn't really have the heart nor the excitement I had when I first started for this story. Those two things are critical when writing a story as it dictates how much effort and creativity an Author puts into their story. I tried to start something new with the Tower of god fan fic however that was a total bust and I lost interest almost immediately. So I decided to not think about being an Author anymore and decided to just leave it all behind.
However not long after I dropped this fic one of my friends introduced me to a few friends of his own and I found my own crew to hang out with. I felt like an anime character who had found his friend group and I could not be happier. We played a variety of video games however there was one we stuck with more than the others, Yugioh. I felt thrill playing yugioh since there were so many possibilities with the game. Then I found that one of my friends in that group also had an interest in fan fiction just like me. We talked a bit and recommended some stuff to each other and turns out we both tried to write how own story at some point.
His was honestly complete trash but when he read mine he said it was actually pretty good which made me happy. That made me consider the rewrite again but again, no heart in this anymore. It would not be as good.
However I was in bed one night thinking about that whole situation when a thought came to me. What if I made something new again? However if I was going to make something new again I wanted it to surpass this and it had to be something I would be interested in for a long while.
So I decided to make a fic starring my group of friends aka the idiots. As for what kind of fan fic well I chose Yugioh. One, I like Yugioh, two all my friends play Yugioh so it makes things easier, three, I played Yugioh for a few years now so I have some experience, four, there are not enough Yugioh fics out there.
Anyways I talked to the idiots and they agreed to help me write this. They would not only help me keep the personalities correct and interesting and they would also stop me from making stupid mistakes like that time I had my MC sleep for a long period of time instead of training. (stupid Past me) Also most importantly they would help me write jokes because comedy. (Cue laughter)
Anyways as you can probably tell I am excited to write this. I plan to write like 50 or so chapters before I start releasing chapters. So I won't be short on that at least though it may take a little bit.
