Chapter 1: Untamed Desire: Part I
LILYANNA'S POV
~That's it, I did it. I have now officially unpacked into my new apartment!~
I took the now empty boxes and broke them down so they could fit easier in the outside trash can. Tonight was beautiful, the moon hung high in the sky and the stars twinkled and danced. The world was quiet, and the only thing I could hear was the soft chirp of crickets.
~This is my new start, I'm finally away from him and all the things he did to me.~
I headed back inside, making sure to lock the door behind me. I looked at the microwave clock and saw that the time was now 10:30pm.
~What am I to do now?~
"Oh bestie!" I heard outside as the doorknob jiggled. Una opened the door and stood in a dramatic pose underneath the door frame, her keys overhead.
"Did you miss me?"
"Of course not." I scoffed, playfully.
"That is a lie and you know it!" Una spoke after letting out a short gasp.
"Ok...maybe I missed you a little bit." I chuckled. Una was bright and cheery as usual. As my bestie walked forward I noticed that she was wearing a sports bra, black leggings, and her stark black hair was pulled up in a bun.
"You were out running, this late at night?"
"Oooo...what made you guess? Was it this cute, new orange top? Or was it the sweat cascading down my chocolate brown skin?"
"Shut up Una! Why do you have to be such a bitch sometimes?"
"Maybe because I like it!" We both began to laugh in unison.
"Oh guess what!" I spoke with excitement.
"What!?"
"I have officially finished unpacking!" Una's mouth and eyes grew wide open until she shook her hands and let out a soft squeal.
"Yay! My bestie has officially moved in with me! I am so happy, and just in time for the new semester tomorrow!"
"I know!" My smile quickly faded as I looked to the ground, vigorously rubbing my thumbs together, "To be honest Una, I'm nervous. I know this will be my third year in college but...this is new and I don't know anyone there."
"Oh Lily," Una came over and embraced me in a hug. She gripped both my hands and forced me to look straight into her dark brown eyes, "You're going to love Forest View College. I know it's scary but...I also know you wanted to be far away from he who shall not be named."
I chuckled, my heart feeling less heavy.
"And look, you're not going to do it alone. You have me to guide you through the college campus and everything else our small town of Oneida, Washington has to offer. But..." She stepped back and nervously bit her lip.
"Oh no, but what Una?"
"Well...while I was jogging I saw one of the college students who works at the bookstore. And...well...he invited me, and therefore you, to a party at midnight tonight."
"No, absolutely not." I said sternly.
"What! Come on Lilyanna! We won't be 22 forever...can we just be a little spontaneous and have some fun for once!?"
"We have fun all the time!"
"Not with hot college boys we don't!"
"I literally have nothing to wear to the party!"
"You can wear one of my dresses, we're the same size anyway! Plus I have the perfect dress to compliment your vampire paleness and raven black hair!"
"Shut up! I am not that pale!"
"Whatever you say...master." We both started laughing hard, I felt as my eyes began to water, "Please Lilyanna? It would be a great way for you to meet more college students."
Una began staring at me with wide puppy dog eyes. She tucked in her upper lip and began whimpering.
"Really? Puppy dog eyes?" Una opened her eyes wider and began pouting more loudly.
"Fine, Una!" I lifted my arm's in the air before crossing them over my chest, "You win. We'll go to your stupid party."
"Yay!" Una leaped into the air and shook her hands wildly in excitement, "Come on, we have to get ready!"
She pulled me into her bedroom and started to pull out her makeup, heels, and dresses. She walked over to me with a black dress in her hands. It was a sleeveless floor length gown with a deep v-neck and two very high thigh slits.
"This is the dress I was talking about Lilyanna! You would look stunning in this!"
"I can't wear that! My boobs could pop out of it."
"It has a built-in bra, the sticky adhesive kind. Your titties will be fine."
"But these slits are so high! One wrong move and people can catch a glimpse of my underwear."
"One, they are not that high. Two, it has built in shape wear. All anyone would be able to see is black booty shorts. No one will be able to see your granny panties."
"Shut up, I don't wear granny panties!"
"Whatever," spoke Una, her tone laced with condescension, "Loosen up Lily! You're beautiful, you need to show it off!"
We stared at each other, it seemed Una was waiting for what I had to say.
~It has been awhile since I put myself out there...why not?~
"Fine," I grabbed the dress and put it on. Una gave me a pair of black heels to match and started getting ready herself. Una decided to wear a tight neon blue dress that reached just above her knees. It was long sleeved and had a smaller V-neck than mine. She wore neon blue heels and earrings as well to complete the ensemble. I myself wore gold crescent moon earrings and a matching necklace.
~Damn, Una was right. This dress is perfect for me.~
By the time we were ready it was 11:30pm and our nails just dried.
"I don't understand why we had to paint our fingernails white."
"Lily, this isn't normal fingernail polish. It turns black if we dip our fingers in a drink that has been drugged."
"Wow!" I raised my hand up to see the nail polish more clearly, "That is amazing Una! Where on Earth did you get this?"
"Online, now come on let's go!" We grabbed our purses and headed out to the car.
"I am so excited!" Una rushed to the driver's seat and pulled up the party directions.
~This is it, no turning back now.~
