Chapter 125: A kiss

Maximus couldn't control himself anymore. He had had enough of this girl and her adventurous soul, who finds every possible way to get into trouble and worries his unloving heart that has been left impassive for so many years.

She had no right to make him feel like this without giving him something in return.

Only he knew how fast his heart was beating when he dialed everyone's number in the tent and no one picked up the call. Even her number was coming out of the service, and none of the thoughts that crossed his mind in that period were any good. 

Maximus caressed her cheeks, giving her enough time to adjust to what he was doing. 

He didn't move his lips against hers, just stood there with his lips pressed tightly against hers as he breathed heavily. 

The smell of the dead rogues and their blood covered the entire environment, but what stung his nose was the scent of another male around her...

And it wasn't just any normal man either.
