Chapter 137: Katherine Moon

"Where are you hurt?" Maximus asked Delilah as he took her to the van where he was supposed to sleep as arranged by Roy and Jacob.

"Here," Katherine pointed at her ankles that were hurting because of how she twisted her leg while falling backward when Cali pushed her.

Maximus didn't know he was capable of feeling such emotions towards anyone, but seeing her cutely pointing at her ankle, he couldn't help but want to pull her cheeks for how innocent and naive she was looking, his heart filled with warmth.

He wanted to ask her what exactly happened and how the hell she got into trouble with those girls but he kind of knew the reasons too and didn't want to waste his time talking about something useless, especially when he could use that time to look at how cute his woman was.

"Aren't you going to ask me what happened?" Katherine asked, looking down at her hands like a naughty kid.
