Chapter 6: 06 - Medicinal arts
Who did it?
The question that Daniel just asked was what really hurt Linden.
He thought that after his regression, with the advantage of the knowledge he had of the future, he could prevent the tragic events and change them into victories but who would have thought that his ambitions and his bright future would be crushed by a woman.
'Of course, that lady had no fault in it. She fell due to my fault.'
As a protagonist with an open mind, Linden did not put the responsibility on a random character.
So, he put all the blame on...
"Rowan Mills! It's all because of that bastard!!!" Linden gritted his teeth.
Daniel was stunned, "Rowan? The one who called me here? What's the matter with him? I heard from the doctor that he brought you here and paid for your medical expenses. Listen, there are not many good people like this in the society anymore, don't curse him."
Linden glared at Daniel angrily.
'Dude, in my previous life, you had to leave the hospital because of him and then lived a miserable life. But hey, I don't blame you. Since only I was regressed and you were not, you do not know about his insidiousness. He's not kind, he's a devil.'
It took Linden a while in his past life to realize it but Rowan used a very simple yet useful method to suppress him. While everyone mistook him as the wasteful son of a rich man, Rowan used his brain and beat him every time.
What was more terrifying was that his means were superb.
He never stooped low enough to use unfair means and always stood on a moral high ground to deal with everyone.
At that time, in addition to him, there were several other people in distress, of course, all of them were crushed by Rowan single-handedly.
Not only was Linden's life destroyed, even his fiance ran away with him.
"Hey, don't be deceived by these actions! Go and inquire, he is the young master of the Mills family, a rich second-generation who only spends money. How can such a person be a good human?"
Daniel questioned, "Really...Is he like that?"

Daniel nodded.
"Anyhow, this time I asked you to come because I need your help. I hope you can personally operate and heal my injuries sooner."
Linden smiled bitterly, "You saw it too. I have three broken ribs now. It will take at least two months to recover. I can't wait that long! I need to get back to my peak condition as soon as possible."
"Haha. You have found the right person for it. As long as I take action, I promise you that within a week, you will be back to running" Daniel laughed.
Linden was overjoyed, "Hey, could it be that you have mastered the medicinal art teacher taught us?"
Daniel nodded with a smile, and said with a beaming expression, "We have nine steps for mastering it. The first one is for pain relief, second for cold, third for fever, fourth for hemostasis, fifth for heart, sixth for the viscera, seventh for bone, eighth for critical condition patients, reviving them and the ninth for…well, we better leave it unheard."
"Anyhow, although I'm not as good as you, I've reached the seventh stage and can help you."
Linden was ecstatic, "Haha, you are really amazing. Help me get healed now then."
'And you, Rowan Mills, just wait for me! After I recover, I'll settle my account with you!'
"Yeah, just wait a minute, I'll start the operation right now."
Saying that, Daniel took out a few needles, a scalpel, a reflex hammer, some herbs and many more things from the backpack he was carrying.
Then, after warming up the needles with a lighter, he said solemnly, "Hey, it might be a little painful, you sure you can bear it?"
Linden nodded, his eyes full of determination, "Oh come on, I survived the pain from last night, this little pinch is going to be nothing."
"Alright, if you say so…"
Saying that, Daniel picked up the hot silver needle laced with medicina; herbs and tried to stab it into Linden's chest.
But the day had not been over yet and as a result of Rowan's wish, Daniel was unable to penetrate Linden's skin.
Daniel tried to pierce Linden's skin a few more times, but still couldn't get it in.
"Hey, could it be that you trained your physique to the peak and learnt some martial arts?"
Linden shook his head confusingly, "How can I have the time to do it? Moreover, if I really did master any, do you think I would've ended up in such a situation? I don't know what's going on, my skin has suddenly become unpenetrable. Just use some more strength, maybe?"
"I'll try that."
Daniel pressed hard. Despite using all his strength, Linden's skin was still not pierced but, there was a change.
The silver needle was now crooked.
"It's okay, I'll change it. I brought many."
"Push harder!!" Linden yelled as Daniel used another needle.
The skin was still intact and another silver needle lost its straight shape.
"I'll change to a stronger one, give me a minute."
And just like that, Daniel tried new needles one after another. The silver needles were all crooked but Linden's skin did not even have a scratch at all.
"Oh come on, I don't believe this shit!"
Daniel grabbed the last silver needle, squatted on the bed and used all his strength to stab Linden.
As a result of his wrong posture, Daniel's foot slipped and he fell, causing the silver needle to disappear.
Linden asked with concern, "Hey, how is it?"
Daniel's face turned pale, "It's in!"
Linden laughed and happily asked, "Eh, it did? Then why don't I feel it?"
"I got it stuck on my butt... oh, it sure is sharp..."
