Chapter 6: Focus
' Domain is stronger than I thought. ' He moved his hand. The dead tree followed his movement.
He described his talent. " Not enough. Lez can speed Blizz me. "
Talent alone can't conquer anything. One needs core and physical strength. He didn't have that two. Raven sighed. He can't store ether let alone convert it into mana. What a waste of talent!
His rank will increase exponentially if the mana core is intact. He turned off the talent.
All the dead trees and animals. Life was taken away from them by him. It was harsh. But it didn't matter to him because he was stronger than them.
He sat down and began to take mana particles. He got a nice idea. Earlier he planned to gather blood from Academy during the invasion but the devil's eye will be weak.
He will blow this town. He will tear people. With enough sacrifice, he might get stronger devil's eyes.
' I will be okay. ' He encouraged himself. He knew that. ' Just six mouths. Just endure this and they will know me. '
He gathered all the mana particles. " Time to study. " He got two mana pens.
He headed toward the library. Grabbing the connection formation book, he sat at the usual corner.
" Huh. It smells so nice here. "
He looked up and saw the spirit floating. She seems so happy swinging her feet. " What happened you seem pleased. " Raven asked.
He was still reading the book.
" Oh. You smell so good right now. "
Raven frowned, " Please don't joke about it. I am a little sensitive about it. "
The spirit laughed. " Idiot. I said you smell like nature. Did you encounter something? I see you getting darker but the change is so sudden right now. "
" Dark? What do you mean? " Raven asked. He is no longer reading.
" We, spirit see nature in colour. And we see the human soul, not their appearance. That is why we have a hard time recognizing humans. Earlier I see you in the partial dark. Now you are covered in the dark. "

The spirit nodded.
" I want you to draw absorption formation. I have a theory to try. " Raven said.
The spirit gathers mana from the air and draws the circle. It was complex but Raven managed to get the thing he desired for.
He smiled.

One month has passed. He got a lot of mana particles as well. He took the boxes at night. Even in pain, Raven continued to work.
Of course each day the pain doubled. But it was only pain to him nothing more than that.
Today was the day he will set in the town. His plan will start from the town then Academy.
He had the necessary knowledge. He walked past the gate, the old man saw him but he also said nothing.
The old man felt chill when he saw the sight of Raven. He was so thin, his face covered in bruises and used clothes. It was like a dead person.
Raven arrived at the town quickly. He didn't have anything to carry except a few pens. He asked the town folk.
" Excuse me, sir. Can you please point out the orphan? I am finding my younger brother. " His voice carried sadness. He didn't want to gather attention yet. His look is a lot different from before no one would recognise him unless from Academy.
The man showed a bit of kindness, he pointed the direction and gave him some bread. After thanking the man, Raven continued his plan.
He stopped when he saw the orphanage. The compound was huge. He sat there and looked at it.
After a few hours, the pain came.
' Not yet. ' He remained himself.
At midnight, he sneaks inside the compound. Raven found a suitable place. The place where no one would come and mess. The place where it is close to the building.
He sat on the ground and drew formation.
The formation was complex because he combined four types.
Absorption. Emission. Connection. And lastly Collection.
" All done. " He smiled.
Raven looked at the building he can hear the children's voices. He knew what he was doing. They all will die. Before they could experience life they will perish.
Raven did the process around the town. He can't enter the middle since that is where the high-rank nobles live.
They could sense his formation.
The process took two months. ' It is sad that this town is merely small. But it is a great thing as well. If this happens in the capital they would find out immediately and kill me. '
Raven sat in his room. It was dark as usual. The pens were already gone.
" I need to gather mana particles. " He noted the need. " Step 1 is complete. Time to start step 2."
He spoke to himself. It had become a habit to him. He might become the incarnation of evil but evil without a sane mind is no good. It will be just stupid.
" but I am not completely sane either. " He laughed. " I heard Lez is fighting with the upper class. Great. For now, the school's attention will be on that. "
Another two months passed.
He had done the necessary formation. The same formation covered the whole Academy. And he also put extra care into the building behind the main castle.
That place is where a lot of students took shelter.
The only problem for him was how to mask his presence. He didn't have any problem with people seeing him. But when he does the ritual, Klenk will sense it.
" Fuck it. I hope the demon will stall him. " He trusted fate in that process.
But not that much, so he carried a few formations with him.

Today is the day.
Lez and the senior battle. The fight was not the main point. But when the battle end, that is where the fun will happen.
Raven was walking in the forest. He stayed on the outer part. He had set up a high formation in there. That is where he will control the fun.
He brought a few formations. They were written on large paper. He placed the formation near the entrance.
" All done. " He wiped the sweat off his head.
He looked at the sun. " I guess the break out will happen in a few hours. "
The breakout is carried by low-level demons. To disrupt the Empire. The demons will attack all Academy.
And this place will win the breakout. Because of Lez and Klenk. They both managed to save a lot of students. But that future will be destroyed.
" I will destroy the plot. " Raven said. He didn't know how the plot will change. But didn't matter.
As he waited. He can feel a slight excitement. He smirked.
He heard a loud cheer from the Academy. " Look like the battle is finished. "
He looked at the sky. His normal eyes didn't catch anything but he can feel a slight evil. " There. "
He used talent.
Domain.
He manipulated the properties of the Domain to match with formations.
" Ha. Ha. You low-life human. Surrender or die. " The demon laughed from the sky.
Raven sighed. " What an idiot! He should attack Sneaky. "
A large army of demons poured from the sky. They are all unintelligent monsters created from the Tree of Chaos.
" That low-level demon must be S rank. He could buy a few minutes with the principal. I don't read My Father coming in the novel. Things will be different. "
As he said those words, he activated the formation.
Four types of formation. Nobody in the Empire didn't use Formation combined.
The reason they could lead to massive explosions. He combined Absorption and Emission.

Raven laughed. He placed his hand at the centre of the formation and poured raw ether.

All the blood and souls entered his eyes. They keep flowing. The process was painful.
He laughed. " The devil's eye. I got it "
As he said a loud explosion came from the Academy. He looked at the castle. " Look like the principal participated in the battle. Time to make step 2."
The string keeps supplying soul and blood. That day under the sun, the lord of evil made his first appearance.
