Chapter 1: Prologue
A lonely soul wandered in the infinite darkness. He lay there peacefully floating in the darkness without any hint that he would ever stop.
He didn't remember much about his life. Just basic stuff and how he died. that he would never forget.
It all happened in less than an hour when some nasty guys walked into his family's store. Soon after, another group of men entered with weapons in their hands.
At that moment everything went to hell with a shootout inside his store with one of the shots hitting his stomach. After a few minutes of bleeding, he died and stopped in the void
"how fun, a soul to survive here for so long, this is unique"
The soul looked around worriedly, seeing nothing, but he could hear the sounds of voices talking to him.
(I'm not alone?)
The soul thought worriedly trying to find who spoke to him. The soul wanted to say something, but unfortunately, it didn't have that ability
"Yes, your not are alone" The voice echoed once more
The soul became even more worried and fear began to invade its being
(Has my mind been read?)
"Yes, little soul! unfortunately, it wouldn't be possible to communicate with you, without reading your mind"
(where am I?)
"In the Gap dimension, the dimension that divides the spirit world and the physical world"
(Gap dimension? Is this DXD? is this some joke?)
The soul was perplexed by the new information and tried to deny it.
"you're not wrong the world you call DXD is the physical world connected to the dimensional Gap! But, let's get down to business, little soul, if you stay here, your soul will be destroyed"
(do you mean, Ophis?)
"No, Ophis is indeed something irritating, but, she wouldn't go out of her way to cause you trouble" The being spoke in an amused voice.
(Big Red?)
"No, he's also just as irritating as she is, but, he wouldn't go out of his way to cause you trouble, although you would die just getting close to him for the absurd amount of power he unconsciously exudes."
(so, who?)
"The Gap dimensional" The voice of the being seemed to intensify
(Ummm?)
"Exactly," The voice shouted happily "your soul is being consumed by the Gap little by little"
(This is bad?)
"Yes, if it continues like this, your soul will be destroyed without any chance of redemption "

"Little soul, you survive the Dimensional Gap, meaning you have the immunity to toxic energy from the Dimensional Gap" The voice spoke with interest "that's why you lasted so long "
( I'm only a human, How did, I survive so far then?)
"Oh, that was your will to revenge, Your hate, has kept you alive"
(Hate?)
"Yes, Hate, You have a lot of it inside you, but you can suppress it, enough to be the perfect villain."
(Villain)
"Yes, little soul, a villain is what we need, a villain who can keep the damage to a minimum" the voice spoke with joy "Chaos is necessary. under control, a Hero can defeat Chaos, but, he cannot control it and a greedy villain is controlled by chaos"
(if a hero defeats Chaos wouldn't that be all right?)
"That's very naive of you. Chaos is infinite and even if you defeat it, another worse Chaos will take the place of the previous Chaos"
(So? you want to put your Chaos in power? like a crooked cop kills and arrests other mobsters to put a mobster loyal to him in control of crime?)
"Yes, you got it right!"
(But, I'm not loyal to you! I'm not foolish enough to pledge allegiance to someone who wants to use me for their hidden purposes)
"you're not wrong, little soul, you don't have much choice, your soul will soon disappear if you don't accept my proposal"
(Are you threatening me?)
"It's not a threat! it's a fact" the voice was surgical in what it said, "You're not expecting me to save you for free! are you?"
The soul stopped and shuddered, yes, nothing in the world was free
(What do I have to do?)
The soul has completely given up any expectation of being able to go against being. even though he still couldn't see the being, he knew that his chances of making it out alive without the being's help would be impossible.
"I will give you the power and a body, in exchange, you become the greatest villain in that world" The being said
(What will this body be?) The soul thought
"a mighty one had his soul destroyed not long ago and I saved his body, I'll put you in that body"
(so what will the body be?)
"A surprise! you'll find out when you wake up"
(Wait who are you and what do you want?)
"Me Huh? I'm just a crazy old woman! Burned and died giving birth to the son of a man who abandoned her in hell when he saw his appearance corrupted by hell. The same son who burned me was what stole my throne like one of the pillars of the spirit world. Even though the fool was tricked and is now nothing more than a living corpse keeping the pillar in pieces holding on."
(Are you Izanami? Your son and husband, do you want me to kill them? Is that your plan?)
"HAHAHA, No, No, I could do it myself" The now more feminine voice replied in the darkness "although I have lost my power as one of the pillars of the spirit world, I am still, a primordial! Killing two gods would be easy for me"
(So why don't you do it and get your power back)
"for the same reason, you'll be a little soul villain!" Izanami's voice became higher pitched and there was a slight laugh in it "I want Chaos, I want to see the shit called the world hit the fan and splash all over the place"
(You are crazy!)
"Yes! Being charred and abandoned alone by the person you love, does that to people" Izanami laughed in the dark "that's why you will exist, you will be the limiter for Chaos, the villain who will keep everything under control"
(Wait, this looks like… are you going to be part of the Chaos?)
"Exactly little soul" Izanami replied laughing "I will be the cause of Chaos-- the demon goddess who will be defeated by the dragon king, who will take her place on the evil throne"
(What--)
"Goodbye, little soul! It was nice to finally talk to someone after 100,000 years of solitude!" Izanami whispered with a calm and happy tone "when we meet again, please kill me!"
