Chapter 306: See you at midnight

The following day. 

Shera took the afternoon off work so she would prepare for the banquet. Alexa, who had just returned from Devildom Island with Carlos, went to her room to help her prepare. 

"How's the progress?" Shera asked as the latter helped her to polish her long nails. 

Alexa knew she was talking about the pill they had been asked to make a week ago. "We are almost done. The Devildom Rose was the final ingredient and since we have it now, the final product is in progress." 

"Good." Shera was relieved. Luckily, Alexa and Carlos were a competent pair and could be trusted to complete an important task within the anticipated time. She couldn't help remarking, "You have such great chemistry when working together. How are things going between you after work?" 

Alexa pretended to think about it before mysteriously giggling. "I'm not telling you. Bribe me."
